Good food, BUT !! I really enjoy genuine eggs Benedict. It is my first choice for breakfast when eating out. That said: today I ordered Classic Eggs Benedict at First Watch and was very disappointed. The eggs were done to perfection, but the rest of the 'Benedict' was anything but the 'real thing. No English muffin, instead a bun of some sort. No Canadian bacon, rather thin sliced ham and the Hollandaise sauce was tasteless. Please FW, if your going to serve eggs Benedict - do it right or call it something else. read more

We stopped here for lunch while on vacation. We've eaten at First Watch in WI and loved their breakfast. Lunch here was great, too. Soup and salad combo was yummy (but I would prefer a small chunk of good bread instead of boring white crackers). Tomato basil soup was a tiny cup but delicious. Salad was delicious, too. I have been going to this First watch since it opened. Unfortunately today the pancake came out so cold butter wouldn't even melt. My over easy eggs were cold. The bacon was so cold it was like bacon jerky. The person I was dining with got the traditional breakfast. Potatoes cold poached eggs were cold and looked like boiled eggs. My gf's and I meet at this location for Sunday brunch after church, it's our go to. Love this place and location. Love sitting outside in front where it's nice and quiet. The acoustics in all of their locations are not good - very noisy. But the food is amazing and their coffee is, by far, the best! Let me start by saying i'm a sever, so I totally get if you can't get to your tables right away because you're busy, but our server was not. It took 10 minutes for us to get greeted and then 20 minutes to even get WATER. And a 5 top got sat after us, got drinks and gave their order before we got water. Met a friend at this First Watch location in Sarasota. Its new and nicely decorated. Ample parking. I ordered the avocado toast with med well eggs. It was excellent. The avocado was mixed with olive oil and it had a great flavor. A nice change from just mashed avocado on toast. The toast tasted like an artisan bread, was very good as well! Over the past few years I have been to three different First Watch locations. Two in Sarasota, FL. and one in Hollywood, FL. In all those visits, everything has been consistent - everything that is important. The restaurants are clean, the waiting to be seated isn't too long, the wait staff are friendly, efficient, and attentive. The menu is filled with a variety of dishes, and all of the ones I have had were well prepared and delicious. Substituting ingredients or other requests have always been granted, for they strive to please their customers. Their prices are reasonable, too. I have read other posts where people complained about their waiter or waitress. They have a difficult, demanding job and understanding they are serving you can and should be appreciated. A smile, a kind gesture adds some wind to their sails, so to speak, so why not help him or her by your understanding and thoughtfulness. We all have hard days sometimes, but a little kindness and appreciation can turn a hard day around, for others and yourself. read more

Not even going to sugarcoat the bad experience I had for brunch. For a girls brunch, the 7 of us decided to go to First Watch on Fruitville. Service was good, but everything went downhill after receiving the food. My pancake was good, although my friend couldn't say the same about her meal. Her sandwich had arrived, and after one bite into it she was pulling paper out of her mouth from the sandwich. Wasn't bothered too much with that because it was a small piece, but after a few more bites, yet again another piece of paper. She decided to open up her sandwich and found a WHOLE SHEET OF PAPER IN THE SANDWICH. Probably from the cheese, the cook forgot to remove the paper and literally left it inside the sandwich, DISGUSTING!!!! The manager handled the problem, but the fact that the cook was too lazy to even remove the paper from the cheese and serve it like that?? Totally unacceptable and straight up unappetizing. Also, another unappetizing thing was seeing the server come in for her shift and playing with her hair, putting it up while standing in the kitchen.
