I am REALLY late in the game on this one. Yesterday was my first visit to First Watch for breakfast and now I understand what I've been missing out on. A group of us went after running the Sarasota Half Marathon and it was amazing. We had a group of 10 and there was a wait, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We had a nice big table and the service was wonderful - and crazy fast! I ordered the Avocado, Bacon, and Tomato Hash. It was every bit as delicious as it sounded. I have been to this First Watch several times in the past and it was fantastic, but today I came to this gem and it fell flat for some reason. The waitress was great , I got seated and did my order at 11:40..I got my food at 12:27. It should never take that long to get your food. The waitress apologies for the lateness, but there is no excuse for waiting almost an hour for your food after u ordered it and waiting in the restaurant. The only thing that helped the matter was the waitress being so kind. Usually I get my food within 15-20 minutes after ordering. Hopefully this is a one time event. Very disappointing read more

Well the wife and I have been coming to First Watch for years, in many locations. We enjoy the food, and the servers are always pleasant, but I'm left wondering about the cleanliness of this location, the bathrooms are always gross, and there are gnats/drain flies always hovering around the table. Will probably stick to the Lakewood Ranch location, but will still come to this one if pancakes are desperately needed. read more

This place is my new favorite breakfast spot in Sarasota. I've been both to their Main St and S Tamiami Tr locations, and both were fantastic. The food is fresh, fairly healthy, and seriously tasty. I highly recommend the chia seed pudding power bowl - it's a big, hearty meal. Their pancakes are also incredibly yummy, as are some of their lunch options like the market veggie sandwich. Unless you go early in the morning, you're sure to have a bit of a wait (no reservations), but it's worth it. My family and I frequently visit the First watch chain from Gainesville Orlando Brandon Bradenton and sarasota however the one on Main st sarasota I wasn't impressed with. After a long wait which is ok the food came out in intervals There were 7 of us and it took 4 trips and 10 minutes to finally get all the food to the table As always order the Sunrise Granola bowl Which is fruit granola yogurt and a muffin How hard is that. I order the muffin grilled So sliced in half and toasted on the grill Well my bowl arrived and although you would expect cold fruit and granola it was room temp and two times I was told my muffin will be right out after half finishing my warm bowl the muffin arrived. Empty glasses one would assume you would need a refill but no mention of the. The question asked by our server was how is everything and not waiting on one chewing to finish a quick retreat I was ver disappointed in my visit and with a check over $100 you would think you would get more attentive service. My wife and I being in the hospitality retail and restaurant bios for over 40 years per and the entire crew with us working for my spouse the question was stated. Walked in to a very cute restaurant with great reviews, and not busy....very promising. After 10 minutes we still did not have water or anyone taking our order. When water was brought, both of our glasses at our table and the 2 we took from a neighboring table were so filthy that we left. If they can't clean their glasses, we didn't trust the cleanliness of the food coming out. Very disappointing! read more

Ran across this place with my family walking around DT Sarasota. We stopped in for brunch and enjoyed great food! Ask for Chase! It was busy, but we did not wait long for a seat. My dad made a request for flour instead or corn tortillas and they accommodated him by cutting the flour tortillas to the size of the corn tortillas.
