The peaches were on top of the chicken, but I think on top of the waffles would have been a better call (so I reconfigured things myself). Half way through eating I noticed the candied pecans were missing so I asked my waitress because I was interested in trying them with the dish. She noted that they didn't have them and haven't been able to get any for over a week. While I would have ordered the dish anyway, it would have been nice to be told upfront. I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this location from the moment I walked in. When I arrived, the hostess saw me standing there but chose to continue chatting with guests who were leaving instead of seating me. I ended up waiting an additional 5 minutes at the front, just standing there awkwardly, while she laughed and made small talk. It was clear I was waiting to be seated, but I was completely ignored. Once I was finally seated, things somehow got worse. I sat there and watched multiple tables who arrived after me get greeted, have their drink orders taken, and even receive food, all while I hadn't even been offered a glass of water. It took over 10 minutes for anyone to approach my table, and even then, the server simply dropped off a water with no greeting or acknowledgment, then turned to walk away like I wasn't even there. By that point, I was beyond frustrated. I had been seated for 20 minutes with no service, no one checking in, and no explanation for the delay, and again, this was not during a rush. The restaurant was maybe half full at best, with staff walking around casually, so there was absolutely no excuse for the lack of attention. I was ready to order, clearly trying to make eye contact with the server, but still got brushed off like an afterthought. The entire experience felt careless and disrespectful. It honestly seemed like the staff couldn't be bothered to provide even the most basic level of service. I left feeling ignored and irritated, and I won't be coming back. If you're looking for a place that values your time and makes you feel welcome, this isn't it. read more

I was so excited to hear that First Watch was coming into town! I had it booked marked for when I went back to Texas to visit my boyfriend, but look at thiiis, I don't have to wait anymore. We gave the host my phone number and they sent a text with a link to another yelp account so that you could see your spot in line. That was so cool, however I wish that the link worked with this .. web address. We ended up waiting for a little longer than expected but we were excited when it was time. Our waitress Angel was so sweet. She took great care of us. Welcome to Virginia Beach, First Watch. After a hard workout, this was perfect. First Watch helps provide healthy options for those who are trying to make a change. What I got was part of their "Harvest The Season" menu. The Truffled Wild Mushroom Frittata is a classic frittata that comes with truffle-roasted shititake and Crimini mushrooms, shallots, and garlic & herb cream cheese topped with lemon dressed arugula. It's served with fresh fruit and ciabatta toast. My mom got something she liked plus the Pumpkin Pancakes that she ordered from the Harvest The Season menu. She was very happy about those and don't want them to go away. My first time trying this place was disappointing, if I had to sum it up into one word. First, I don't know what was going on with my server, Sandra, whether she was just having a bad day or if she's normally like that but she came off as rude & extremely forgetful. I was constantly trying to get her attention for a refill & other minor things but with no success. Finally I get my food, it wasn't cold but, it was lukewarm & just simply unenjoyable. I asked to speak with a manager to see if he knew any of this was going on & he never even showed up to my table. At that point I was ready to leave. This is where I ended up in a line to pay my tab. There was only one girl working the register & seating customers. And I ended up behind a woman who was giving her a hard time because she received larger bills than she wanted & the employee was trying her best to explain that she just didn't have enough smaller bills at the moment. The food is good, the service is good, however the Hostess Charlie has no customer service personality. we visit quite often for breakfast and since my husband is a big guy he always ask for a bigger table due to ordering a breakfast three egg white omelet with the works veggies, three meats, potatoes, side of toast, grits, waffle etc. Then i order my meal. When we ask for a bigger table charlie tells us she cant because there are parties waiting for at table for 4, but turns around and seats two very thin adults leaving us cramped And unable to eat our breakfast comfirtable. This is deterring us from coming and ordering a lot of food. We are at tge point of just ordering a coffee and a muffin and go other places that is willing to meet our needs. I DID NOT tip her, because she was being deceptive the entire time. I did not ASK for sour cream and salsa; she offered it to me and never let me know it was an upcharge. Her attitude is also a big factor in why she did not get a tip from me, and I'm usually a 20 percent or more tipper. She also quickly turned it away from me when I was signing the tablet and mumbled something again, then went over to another waitress, and i could visibly see her talking crap about me. I tried to call and talk to a manager, but you can't call to talk to anyone; they don't even have a welcoming voicemail! I will NEVER EVERRRRRRRRR go back to this place, and I will tell everyone I know about the experience too. Stay away from this soul-sucking place!

I got there a little earlier than when doors opened, so I waited in the restaurant/bar area for a few minutes. This was a nice change of pace from venues where you have to stand outside to wait for doors to open. The person who checked me in at the door was friendly, and I noticed they had complimentary earplugs for concertgoers. After the concert a realized I should have taken a pair since I stood so close to the stage. The stage/show area of Scandals was very spacious, so I didn't feel cramped during the show. They were able to have merch stands for all four bands in the back of the room. I also noticed that in addition to having a bar at the restaurant side, they also had a bar with seating near the stage. If there's a band that comes into town that I like and they're performing there, I would definitely go back.

D'egg is one of the area's simple diners. They're open for breakfast and lunch (7:30a-2:30p daily) and they offer typical American breakfast/brunch items. What set them apart (for me, at least) was that their employees were always kind, nice and helpful. Customer service really goes a long way. When I arrived, it wasn't super busy, but there were enough occupied tables to convince me to sit at the bar. The server who helped me was just as kind, nice and helpful as every employee I've encountered during previous visits, so I was happy to see that aspect hasn't changed. I noticed they changed from Pepsi to Coke products. It was recent, too, because some of the Coke items weren't available that day. Not a big deal, but the switch is worth mentioning for those hardcore Pepsi fans. Btw, this D'egg location looked clean and organized. I took a few minutes to order, and my server offered to answer any questions I had. I ordered an item I haven't eaten in a long time - country fried steak. My entree was out in no time and mine came with scrambled eggs (you can choose how you want your eggs), tots and wheat toast. They gave me a lot of gravy - regardless, I devoured my dish. Soon afterwards, I paid and was out the door. So if you're in a rush, this D'egg location might be the spot.
