Stopped by a Saturday morning to check it out. Was pleasantly surprised with the variety on the menu. I would definitely check out the steak egg and hash, which is a seasonal dish on the menu but is great! This business is environmentally conscience and don't serve anything with straws. Instead, they serve everything in a glass cup or ceramic mug. The coffee is amazing! Can't speak enough about it. They get the coffee from Colombia and they serve it in a pot that keeps the coffee hot throughout your entire stay. I would recommend coming in before 8:30 am because it gets full. Someone will seat you, otherwise you'll have to wait. It's a fun place to bring friends and family. The environment is casual but classy, with a hipster feel. The staff are kind and more than happy to help with anything you need. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. read more

I've had the pancakes, waffles and breakfast sandwiches which are all pretty good. As a big fan of potatoes in the morning, though, I am always very disappointed. I've ordered the fresh seasoned potatoes many times and, always, more than half of the potatoes are undercooked and inedible. I have visited this First Watch pre-COVID, during COVID and Post COVID and the experience is the same, the service is super slow and by the time you get your food it's cold and the hostess seem to always be in a bad mood. The food is good once you've sent it back Bc it's cold and it comes back hot finally. No way breakfast for two should take two hours! read more

My first visit here was amazing! The aesthetic of the furnishing is so cute and cozy. The food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and at a pretty good price too!! So, my dudes, I really want to love this place because it's within walking distance from my house. I mean, any place is within walking distance if you're willing to walk long enough and there are no geographical barriers to walking that are insurmountable, but you get my point. Anyway, service is glacially slow but I expect that will pick up over time, food is actually quite good if not maybe a bit more costly than a reasonable person would hope or expect, but my real issue here is now poorly designed this whole enterprise is. There is constantly a line/wait, but there is absolutely no waiting space, just a mad crush of sweaty humanity just inside the door, which impedes ingress, egress, and just like paying your bill. Add in the parking lot which isn't big enough and which is also only accessible via a labyrinthine series of turns and I has a big time sad you guys. read more

Great building and easy to access location. Since this is their first month open I won't be too critical on their errors. But when you seat your customers don't have them waiting 10 minutes before anyone approaches them. Also, there were not as many vegan options as other First Watch restaurants. Lastly, have your servers be more attentive and smile. Maybe when you shake out all of the first month jitters the service and food will score higher. read more

We went there for breakfast and there was only 6 people in there eating including us. So we ordered and about 20 minutes our food came, and mine was cold. I ordered my eggs over medium and they were fried hard and bacon and grits were cold. So I only ate the bacon and toast. One and turn with this place. First watch is really one of my go to brunch restaurants in Columbus! The customer service is absolutely amazing. Even if theres a wait just join the list, because they go through the waitlist quick. We tried the new First Watch in Westerville and I was disappointed with my meal, but the others were happy with their choices. I ordered 2 eggs, waffle and bacon and it was served cold. I came in on an extremely busy day,and they were understaffed. BUT the ones working were 100% working their ass off to compensate for the lack of staff. They kept their cool, provided great customer experience, and the food was delicious as always. They had customers yelling at them, and it made me feel so bad for them. I hope management is giving acknowledgment to these hard workers! First Watch used to be great but across the board food quality and quantity have dropped in caliber. Overpriced compared to other breakfast/brunch restaurants. Westerville location had VERY slow service on a weekday for lunch and server who seated us had a terrible attitude! read more

It took over an hour from the time we ordered until we got our food. We watched everyone who was sat after we ordered get their food and checks and sometimes another party was re-sat before we got our food. The new manager said they moved tickets around and error happen. Only reason for 2 stars is the manager gave us 50% off the food. Best French toast ever! I love this place and the staff is so up best and friendly.

This is, by far, one of the worst breakfasts I've had in quite some time. In fairness, there are two things you should know: 1) we ordered take-out (because Covid) and 2) the drive home to eat is between 10-15 minutes. That said, I ordered a pancake, eggs, bacon, and seasoned potatoes. The pancake was incredibly dry - to the point of being almost crunchy, the eggs were overcooked, the potatoes were under cooked, and the bacon was just okay (which is sad because bacon). I ate it because I paid for it but it certainly wasn't worth it. Won't be doing that again. read more

Have to go here because the wait is less than NA. The issue is, they are smaller, staff is not as good and the menu is missing 1/2 of what NA has. FW should just open a 2nd NA location in the square and fix this. Seating is not done as well as NA either. Skip the new donuts, they are a disappointment. They come out cold. I've been to every First Watch in Columbus and I have to say that the wait staff at this one is especially nice! The kitchen was a little slow but that seems to be due to the volume of to-go orders they get on weekends due to COVID. My server was Grace and she was AMAZING! I would give 4 starts for the food and decorations. But the service is extremely slow, waiting (after order) for brunch for 2 hours is insane. Wow what a let down. I have been to the other locations and always received first class service and excellent quality food. This Sunday we arrived and were quickly seated but waited for quite some time for our server to introduce herself. Coffee arrived and again it was a long wait for our waitress to take our order. Eventually another lady took our order and departed for the kitchen. Moments later the first waitress came back and asked for our order, we told her that we had placed the order already she explained that the previous lady had helped her but left for a family emergency. Waitress one assured us our food would arrive on time. Many minutes later we had to flag down our server who said there had been some confusion but that our food would arrive soon and that she was going to discount our order. Again a long wait and our food was brought by yet another person. Of course everything was STONE COLD except for one order of home fried potatoes. My fiancé's had ordered salmon Benedict the bread it was on was not toasted and the tomato egg also very undercooked (yes we knowit is supposed to be with a yoke that is not solid but the whites were runny). Again we had to flag our server down and we informed her of the situation. She was apologetic and told us the meal was free and asked if she could replace the order, we declined . I know this place opened only a couple of weeks earlier but this was about as bad as it gets. We overheard a few other apology's to customers for the same kind of thing. Bottom line is I probably will not go back. Question ? Where was the manager? Stuck covering the kitchen? Totally oblivious to the situation ? Don't waste your time here. read more
