The sliders were fried chicken in hot honey with pickles and slaw on a buttermilk biscuit. The fried chicken was fine and more enjoyable with the pickle and slaw, but the biscuits was a bit crumbly. I enjoyed a piece of my dad's salmon more, which tasted good with the fried rice. For dessert, we had the peanut butter and chocolate cake, which was a bit dry, but still enjoyable with the chocolate sauce. The peanut butter mousse made it a bit moister. While it was an enjoyable meal, my body is gonna punish me on the healing process, especially after having a sweet coconut mojito (13 dollars) too. The service was good and friendly, and the atmosphere was casual and quiet. Most patrons were locals who visit the restaurant often for good deals. Sadly I didn't take pictures of my meal as I am still healing from my fractures, but it's was an enjoyable meal, especially with the deals used. The bartender encouraged us to sit in her section but we wanted a booth and not a high top. When we went to sit, the bench was still wet from being wiped down. We asked to try some wines and they brought us tastes in small shot glasses rather than wine glasses and the sparkling rose was a bit warm. When my friend got her wine glass, she noticed there were lipstick stains on it and luckily the severer was quick to get it replaced when we pointed it out. My cocktail was overly strong. The food portions were pretty large though some of the dishes lacked salt. The server made some good recommendations and our favorite dishes were the chicken piccata and the peanut butter cake. The beignets themselves were good but we didn't love the sauces. I would give it another try but wouldn't rush back.

The breakfast tacos absolutely rocked. These things did not just have flavor, they burst with it. One bite in and I was wondering why I ever bothered eating breakfast anywhere else. The latte was smooth, rich, and delicious enough to make me momentarily forget all responsibilities for the rest of the day. And then there are the biscuits. These are not just biscuits. If anything brought this up to three stars, it was those. Overall, it's not a bad spot, but it didn't live up to the hype or the pricing.
