Came here for breakfast and the service was great! There was a little bit of a wait for a table, but they have an open seating table where you can sit if you rather not wait for a table to open up. The only thing is that it is open seating so anyone can sit at the table. If you would rather have your own, private table then you would have to wait until one opened up. I ended up sitting at the open table since I was by myself and it wasn't bad. Service and food were amazing. They were pretty busy, but everything came out fast. Not a long wait for food at all. All I have to say is avocado toast. Toasted bread (some kind of whole grain or oat) with chunked up avocado and coated in olive oil served with basted eggs, it's delicious and filling. I like to come here after a run and reward myself without destroying all the hard work I did. Admittedly the last time we came the service was ridiculously slow and we were in earlier than the average Saturday morning rush, but we are usually pretty happy overall. Chocolate milk is made with syrup when ordered (or so it seems). The green juice with Apple is delicious. It's refreshing and fresh and tastes just sweet enough. All together it's one of my favorite meals for breakfast. Coffee at first watch is only ok, but usually I am pretty happy and ready to go back by the next week. read more

My husband and I are frequent First Watch customers in various cities. Our favorite is the restaurant on Aloma Ave in Winter Park, FL. The staff members are very pleasant and helpful when ordering and the food preparation is excellent. Regardless of whether we order breakfast or lunch we have never been disappointed. The manager, Michael Baker, is hands-on making sure everything is running smoothly and checking on our meals. Altogether a relaxing and delicious experience. read more

I'm pretty disappointed with this experience. We were told there would be a 10-15 minute wait, this turned into about 25 minutes. Not a huge deal, that happens sometimes. Once inside, we were sat and our GREAT server Erica took good care of us. However, the kitchen was painfully slow, it literally took 45 minutes for us to get our food. And once it was served, the food was lukewarm at best. Really unfortunate, we have been to a different First Watch near UCF, and always had great experiences. We stopped in during the lunch hour today(between 12:00-12:30). The place was not busy. Only about 5 tables with customers seated inside and two tables occupied on the patio. We stood and waited in the doorway for at least 5 minutes without even being acknowledged by staff. Two members of the waiting staff looked right at us and didn't say anything. Nobody was present at the front to greet or seat us. We walked back out. I guess they don't want our business. read more

I've been to at least 4 First Watches and I have to say that this one is by far the BEST one I've been too. When My wife and I walked up this young man name Edwin literally opened the door and sang "Good Morning" to us which was so funny and it really set the mood for our experience. Our server Tess immediately took us to our table and was just fabulous. She was quick, efficient, and made us feel like we were the only table there. The thing I liked the most was that when I asked for something they didn't make anymore (the original farmhouse) they said yes without even thinking twice about it. My wife ordered the Avocado Toast for the first time and she was in love with it. All in all great experience and will definitely go out of our way to come here because this one is the standard. read more

Great! A First Watch for breakfast! Walked in, first impression, wasn't impressed. I'm not sure if it is a trend or not, but the floor looked like someone had torn the carpet up and just left the concrete. (With a large sticky spot close to the door. )I'm thinking maybe they're in the process of a re-model. The place was almost empty of patrons yet we were seated at the very last booth by the kitchen instead of toward the front where the only windows are, and much brighter. No ambience, only tables and booths lined up. Service was just kind of meh, the food ok. I ordered my usual when I visit F.W. , the Bacado omelette with potatoes and an English muffin. The potatoes were over done and half burned and the english muffin barely toasted. If you like strong coffee, it's strong enough to pour itself here. Oh and I'm not easily offended by foul language, but someone in the kitchen named "Dick" really needed to get his act together! Next time I will probably try somewhere else. read more

This location is the worst First Watch I've ever eaten at. It was near lunchtime on a Saturday but it wasn't slammed; even if it was, nothing could excuse the level of service we received. After sitting at our table we weren't greeted by our server(s) for nearly 15 minutes. We finally just grabbed our menus ourselves and waited some more. Someone finally came and got our order. After bringing us our pitchers of coffee and water we sat around some more while we waited for mugs and glasses. Our server comes back the first time to drop of mugs and returns an eternity later and drops off dirty water glasses. We wait some more and ask for clean glasses and silverware so I could stir my now room temp coffee. Silverware comes and it's, wait for it, dirty. After getting clean utensils the food finally comes out... In the worst possible order off bringing just the eggs & sausage without the waffles. Waffles come and they forget to bring the syrup. All in all, this has been my worst dining experience in recent memory. All the tables around us had similar complaints. I will say that I am pretty sure everyone in our seating section ended up getting meals comped as a result of the terrible service. They also offered to comp our next meal if we ever come back. I'd personally rather pay somewhere else than to eat at this particular location for free. The food was good once we got it but, by then, frustration was making almost everything unpalatable. read more

I had never had a bad meal at any First Watch until yesterday. It was breakfast. Easy, right? Something this restaurant does well on any given day. To begin, the service was terrible. We were seated promptly and given coffee, but no water. Not a problem, unless you can't find a server to ask for some. We decided on our orders and waited. And waited. After about fifteen minutes, we were able to place an order. Still no water, and the wait for food began. A table seated after us was served. We waited. Food finally came. The eggs and toast were cold (cold even at time of buttering in the kitchen), the bacon was very salty and over cooked so that some pieces were burned. Water finally arrived. We finished what we could, and, you guessed it- waited for someone, anyone, to notice and bring a check. At no time did any employee ask if we needed anything else or if our meal was satisfactory; not even at check out. The restaurant was not that busy and I can see why, but it had always been good in the past. Even though this is the closest FW to my home, I will not return. There are too many other breakfast places to choose from, even other First Watch restaurants. read more

Our motel concierge recommended First Watch Cafe. The 15-minute wait made me feel confident we had made the right breakfast choice. Wrong! I ordered the Tri-Fecta. The waiter didn't bring any water, and when our meal finally arrived, the scrambled eggs were cold and hard and the pancake was well-done on one side. Thankfully the hostess, K. Marie, was excellent and seemed to understand our disappointment. She gets 5 stars; the restaurant maybe 2! read more

I had the BEST experience at the new First Watch the other day! First, it is the cleanest, friendliest restaurant I have ever been to. When I walked in with my children, 9 and 3, we were greeted by the manager with a smile. He made sure both children had crayons and an activity sheet and moved very quickly to get my youngest a high chair. He made my girls feel so special when he told us about his own daughter. Before our server even approached us he had taken our drink orders and told us what the specials were. I'm not very good with names, I don't remember his name or our server's name but our server had dark hair with almost blonde underneath. She was incredibly sweet and kept our glasses full, which is super important to me. My kids loved their food (waffles, eggs and fruit) and ate every bite. Going out with both my children without my husband can be a challenge but we had such a positive experience that we will definitely be back! read more

The "blueberry" compote is actually a mixed fruit compote made with grapes -- First Watch used to have blueberry compote made from blueberries, and this just isn't the same thing. I hate it when a favorite place cheapens an ingredient which I can readily see -- it makes me wonder about other cost saving measures which I cannot. I now substitute the "real" maple syrup which is available for a reasonable up-charge. The blueberry pancakes remain a favorite, however, lots of blueberries and a large size. Even a big guy like me cannot eat more than 2, and 1 is often plenty. read more

Since our favorite Winter Park breakfast place may be closing later this year, we are currently auditioning other ones in the area. This is the first time we had been to First Watch. While my wife liked her omelet, I tried the basic breakfast--two scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and English muffin. The service and price were right, and everything else was ok but the eggs, a square of light yellow stuff apparently industrially, not personally, scrambled and scooped. However, I guess the thing that really turned me off is First Watch's menu that has prices for every item printed in it except for coffee, tea, juices, and other beverages. The server had difficulty explaining why--something about how the prices for such change from day to day. Come on, this is an old upselling technique that responsible places do not use. So don't be afraid to ask for a review of beverage prices upfront, or you may be surprised by the final bill. read more
