I am giving this 5 stars but I want to be clear that this is a fast casual restaurant with only a few healthy options. I have eaten here numerous times and it never disappoints. I get the healthiest options available - grilled fish or the kale salad (so yummy and filling) and I enjoy them. But, then I have to always order the unhealthy french fries because they are to die for. I can't resist them. They are just delicious. They have some sort of coating on them that makes them super crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Sometimes I just get the fries lol. The prices and sizes are very reasonable but I have noticed that the takeout portions seem to be smaller than the eat in portions. I used to love this place but the last few times the food was disappointing. Today I had the skirt steak bowl and the meat was so chewy and rubbery it didn't really have much of a steak texture (gross). The rice was hard and dried out - inedible. We got the fish and chips, the poke, coastal wrap, chowder and some "sushi" Sushi. 1 outta 5 but not worth it at all. Sushi is better at Trader Joe's or a grocery store. That's pretty sad Poke. 2 outta 5. Would not get again Coastal wrap with Mahi. Fish was dry. It was only good because of the sauces and insides of the wrap. 3 outta 5 Chowder. Food was delicious, seemed healthy, and was made fast. The servings were large: the fries I ordered with the calamari were copious. The calamari was a prepared properly - crispy, not greasy. Service was friendly and efficient. Ambience was fine. I definitely will go back and try a poke salmon bowl. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch. I asked the cashier for recommendations. The cashier recommended me to try fish and chips and poki bowl. I then placed my order. When I got my order, I found out that the poki bowl came with rice. I told the manager about it as I cannot eat rice. The manager said I have to pay extra to get vegetable instead. I am more than happy to pay as long as they are willing to switch it out for me because I didn't want to waste food. The manager then said to me "you should look at the menu, it was written on the menu what it comes with." I apologize for the inconvenience, and I explained to him that I usually just ask for recommendations when I order. Also, a typical poki bowl place would ask you if you want rice or vegetable, but the cashier did not ask me. When I get my second order of poki bowl, it was surprisingly came with grilled vegetable instead of salad vegetable. Both the poki bowl and fish and chips were decent. First time ever eating here. We ordered for pick up. The packaging seemed really nice. I ordered the grilled Mahi Mahi plate with a side of black beans and a salad. My husband ordered 2 fish tacos and the loaded fries. I was sadly disappointed that my salad was missing though. That is the reason for the 4 star and not 5. I called the restaurant to get refunded on the missing salad. The manager said that I forgot my salad, haha. I had to say I didn't forget it. You didn't pack it in my order and I would like a refund for the missing salad. It took him about 5 minutes while I was on hold. Bummer! But my fish pieces (2) and my black beans were tasty. Ordered online for takeout, which was very simple and easy to do. My order was ready for pickup at my preferred set time, was notified when ready also, which was appreciated. I ordered the poké bowl with salmon, spring mix and quinoa as bases. For the sauce, I requested the citrus yuzu, which was delicious. It wasn't salty, but there was a slight kick afterwards. We love their food but we won't be able to return as a family unless major changes are made. Our youngest son has a milk allergy and we have not yet encountered a restaurant that has put in so little effort to help us find something to accommodate him. My son is not particularly sensitive - he can manage cross contamination and even baked milk, and we frequently eat out with him at all the other restaurants in bressi. Tommy V's, eureka, Luna grill, main chick, pieology have all been awesome and transparent about allergens and what they feel they can and cannot safely offer to meet our needs. I tried to find anything he could eat, but was told that every single menu item I inquired about (I went one by one with the chicken, fries, sweet potato fries, PLAIN rice) contains milk in the ingredients. I find it hard to believe that plain white rice has hidden milk (again not cross contamination risk, but actual milk in the ingredients) so it felt like they just really did not want to accommodate us. An interesting approach to take with now nearly 1 in 10 kids managing food allergies and so many other competitors willing to make it work. Hopefully this changes. Would love to return if more effort could be put into staff education regarding serving customers with food allergies. read more

This place is really good and the fish is really fresh! My only thing is there's way too much cucumber and avocado isn't included in any of the dishes. You have to pay extra for it which is fine I guess but everything tastes better with avocado. I had to pick off all the cucumber and ginger from the dishes. I tried my hubby's shrimp tacos and wow they packed it with the biggest, juiciest shrimps! Definitely would get that again! The crispy rice was good but I thought it could be better without the whole head of cucumber on the top. Hi. I have always liked Fish District but this weekend I ordered the Blackened Seared Ahi Bowl, something new and it was terrible. The tuna was seared at some other time of the day, but definitely not when I ordered it. It was cold to mildly lukewarm, and had no flavor. The bowl was full of dry sushi rice, minimal lettuce/cabbage, what felt like a teaspoon of sauce, enough tomatoes and the weird tuna on top. I had to ask for two additional dressings to get it down. I have been looking for a food fish & chips place and saw Fish District as I was driving by and decided to give this place a try. It is an open and clean place. The ambiance is a step above a fast food place. It is clean and well-appointed, not too noisy. The food was tasty and the fish was very good, more than just battered patties as I have had in other more expensive places. The fries were simple thin french fries, not the wedges that I had expected. But they were very tasty, not too much seasoning. There is not reason to add salt or ketchup, they are good by themselves. Excellent, very fresh food here. It's expensive but it's worth it. The chowder bacon fries are insanely decadent. It's crazy rich and delicious. I mean, French fries with with real clam chowder poured on top and then covered in a giant scoop of bacon bits? And somehow the fries don't get mushy? Count me in. The poke ahi bowl was excellent. All of the ingredients were very fresh and they didn't skimp on the fish whatsoever. I also liked the salmon wrap (traditional style). It's really a burrito made with a very, very thin, almost translucent, tortilla and inside is a long, whole piece of salmon, well-seasoned rice, and some lettuce. I love greasy burritos from Mexican dives but this is 100% not that. The wrap itself is enormous but, amazingly, it tastes very, very light and was definitely no belly bomb. I went here during lunch with my coworkers for my first time. We all ordered at the counter and the staff was nice enough to bring us our orders outside by the picnic area / general seating so we didn't crowd the inside or have to wait standing for our food. I got the seared ahi tuna plate with sautéed vegetables and it was so good! The tuna was really high quality and the portion seemed huge. It was cooked perfectly and I loved the side portion of garlic bread. The food and service had me feeling like I was at a fancy seafood restaurant. I've eaten here a few times now and have taken my bowls to go as well. My go-to is the ahi poke bowl or the blackened ahi bowl. However, I found a new favorite... the salmon and kale bowl, it's actually really good, especially with the avocado in the mix. There's limited seating at this location, but I do like the ambiance and like that they offer wine and beers for those "happening" Friday nights when you feel like having a drink, or two. It lost a star because the service and the portions of the tuna I get are inconsistent. There are times when I get much more rice than tuna and other times when they are good about the tuna to rice ratio. Also, there have been times when we got the lemonade, and our cup was filled with ice and very little lemonade. I think if they really step up their training and remain consistent on service, this place can really draw in bigger crowds, especially with Rubio's next door, who also offers poke bowls. read more

The New England Clam Chowder came out boiling hot. It was a little bit salty, New England Clam Chowder usually is salty anyway. Fish District is my jam when I'm craving a some fresh seafood for lunch. My go-to is their salmon poke bowl with the citrus yuzu dressing. It's a bit pricier compared to other poke places in this area but the quality is worth it. White rice topped with a large portion of your choice of salmon or tuna, cucumber, seaweed salad, pickled ginger, and if you're feeling extra, avocado. This little shop gets extremely busy during the lunch hour rush but you can call in your order. Be patient in the parking lot too as it does get back up during lunch. Nevertheless, their service is very quick and always friendly. Eat those healthy omega-3 fatty acids! read more

I placed an order online for take out. Their website is very user friendly and makes it super easy to customize your order if needed. I went with the double scoop salmon poke bowl, and subbed for salad underneath. I definitely should've added more of the toppings that they had to order because their wasn't much going on in the bowl but now I know for next time. The gluten free sauce they mixed in was super tasty. As far as the quality of the fish, I'd say it wasn't the freshest I've had. I also found a bone in my salmon which has never happened to me with raw salmon before. I wish they also had the option to do 1/2 rice 1/2 cucumber like some other places do.
