So good. So this place does have indoor seating. Just ask we sat outside. It was shaded. But it there is no breeze it gets humid. Maybe bring one of those hand fans. Food was great. Crab cakes, shrimp tacos and fish tacos.

My order: Fish and chips (gluten free) and margarita with Tajin The Review: I can't pass up a beautiful patio, and Fish was perfect. We were greeted by very attentive staff, who explained all of the gluten free options (which were plentiful). Most importantly, the margaritas were strong and we were able to choose the rim, so we went with Tajin! As for the food, it's not every day that you find GF fish and chips, so we went for it. It was delicious and crunchy, with a great tartar sauce. Why four stars? The slaw was a bit drenched in sauce and thus difficult to eat--I would have loved a crisp and crunchy slaw. Additionally, we got French fries that were still frozen mixed in with cooked ones. Luckily, the staff speedily replaced them. A low key, pleasant night out, I would still definitely recommend Fish to both visitors and islanders alike!

Olive was a great server and the cook was amazing!! Drinks and food were over the top!!

This place is great, love the patio seating and the servers were nice. Food was good too! We got 2 dozen oysters and the lobster sliders. I'd say the lobster was a little over cooked but still good. The crispy rice with the spicy tuna poke looked yummy! Gonna try those next time.

Yum!!! Can be the one and only word to describe this gem. Got their lobster roll "warm" didn't see it on the menu but you can order it. A ton of lobster. With lobster rolls...it can be overly dressed or you let the lobster speak for itself. In this case the I think the lobster coulda used a touch more butter. The bread was buttered and toasted to perfection! The clam chowder was out of this world. Creamy, rich, flavorful, garlicky... I had last bit I could gather from the bowl. The oysters were super fresh. Went well with the cocktail sauce and vinegar. Shout out to the staff for caring Theit patrons and making sure they enjoy their food the best possible way. Ten out of ten! Highly recommend!

not enjoyable in the slightest tbh. the avocado was hard, not a single other thing had flavor. It definitely needed (more) spicy mayo or soy sauce. I've been dying to try this place for years so this was a little disappointing, but maybe I just ordered the wrong thing on a bad night. On the other hand, the staff was so sweet, and the ambiance was perfect!! it was a perfect night to sit outside.

I really like this restaurant. It's a solid spot for seafood in MV. It definitely has more of a Mexican vibe to it which I really like. They have tacos, poke bowls, quesadillas, and more. Outdoor seating is really nice and spacious. Food tasted high quality and everything was good. The guac was super chunky and fresh. Poke bowl had lots of good veggies in it. Portions are generous. Would recommend.

great choices and vegan options, but not the best food or service. Guac and salsa had no flavor at all, inedible clam chowder, cold tacos, etc. I wouldn't recommend.

The long awaited opening of FISH, or Fish MV has arrived. The menu is clearly a cut above most other seafood restaurants in Vineyardhaven and so is the level of service and feel. The feel is upscale casual - certainly comfortable. To become the leader on fresh seafood, FISH will have to maintain a solid level of exceptionally fresh food for an extended period of time. The current champs being The Net Result and Sandy's. The staff is exceptional in every way. They are friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming, polite and professional The outside seating on the deck was brisk all day. It's brand new and huge!! The menu is interesting and large enough to offer something for everyone. Kids are welcome. Everything is done right, or done to order. The calamari for example was light, greaseless, and offered Rhode Island style which means hot peppers - unless you ask they not be included. Time to work my way through the menu. FISH definitely should be on everyone's must dine list!

Creamy clam chowder filled with seafood.

Delicious surprise ending a glorious vacation! Comfortable patio setting, excellent spot to grab a quick lunch before heading to the ferry! We were served a bowl of clam chowder fit for a queen! Filled with seafood rich and creamywe left the island stuffed!

Fish is a great new dining experience in Vineyard Haven. Although it was early, they still had a fairly good crowd. Place is well appointed and the vibe is great. We stopped by for a last minute meal before leaving the island. The wine was crisp and cold and the clam chowder delightful. Service was stellar.

The Firebird cocktail I ordered delighted the entire crowd, since it comes out in a Polynesian head and is aflame. Frankly, the presentation of the food was also spectacular, especially the swordfish club sandwich. I loved the oysters with kimchi paste (a new condiment for me and so good.) The pork belly. The lobster on little tacos. (We were there for 3 hours since the weather was wet and we were talking up our own storm.) My friend knows many good establishments on MV and 9 Craft certainly is. Cheers.

It's been a while since I wrote a food review; I just haven't had the time lately. But after our…read moreexperience last night, I reconsidered. So we went to 9 Craft Kitchen for what we thought would be a higher-tier food experience for my wife's birthday. We do this almost every year we are here in MV. I originally booked at Atria (Edgertown) but canceled and booked here because we did Atria the last time we were here. From the moment we entered the establishment, the hostesses greeted us almost coldly, without many words. I explained that I initially booked the reservation for 3, but our son got sick at the last minute, so it would be just the two of us. Sometimes there are sensitivities around the party size, but the restaurant was completely empty. She sat us down in the back of the room, without much interaction. That's fine, but it goes against the warmth other restaurants show guests when they enter. Several minutes later (about 10) a waiter shows up with water, again, no words, and leaves. She comes back a few moments later with menus and returns a minute later with a question about the drinks we are going to order. The whole interaction has my wife lifting her eyebrow in a manner that I understood as, "That's weird." There was a coldness that was present, which at first we thought maybe was because the place was empty. It was 4 p.m., so right after the lunch crowd, but before the dinner rush. So we ordered drinks, and that interaction was fine; the drinks arrived with a bit more interaction and professionalism when she said, I hope you enjoy your drinks. Would you like to order appetizers and/or dinner? Ok, so maybe the in-between reservation was unusual for them. Ok, I get it. We ordered a few appetizers and 2 entrees. I went to the bathroom, and I could see the wait staff huddled together, laughing at something. When I came back to my seat, they were still huddled together, laughing at something. That didn't bother me, since they weren't busy, but it also explains the lack of interaction and the pause between menus and drinks being served. We didn't wait long for our appetizers. But that's where the issues really start to rear their heads. By the time she brought the appetizers, we had already finished our drinks. We were going to ask for another round, but she brought the appetizers so quickly that I guess she forgot to ask. We ate our appetizers, and there was about a 25-minute wait before she came to remove them and make room for our entrees. We thought she would interact with us then and ask how our appetizers were or whether we wanted another round of drinks. Silly me, she did neither. She removed the apps and came back within the next 2 minutes with our entrees. At this point, she asked if we needed anything else. I said no, and she left. After we ate our entrees, she came back and asked if we needed anything else. I said no, just the check. The whole experience was rushed, as if we were interrupting staff service or something. Bad service happens sometimes. All of us have had bad days in the office or at work. Somehow, the level of service and interaction here doesn't reflect the service on the island, which, at places like Atlantic Fish & Chop House, was outstanding and warm. Like they wanted us back. Same for Rockfish. Even places like Biscuits, which is always packed, remain warm and friendly. The service here was subpar. Even the hostess's interaction left us feeling like, hmmm. The food was solid, but I wouldn't call this place an upper-tier restaurant. There were certainly some racial undertones at play, but again, everyone has bad days at work. As we say, life by lifeing sometimes. But as we spread the word to our friends about our experience here, we have heard this isn't an isolated experience. And for that, we say, hmm, ok. We won't be back. There are just too many other higher-tier restaurants to eat at to experience this and feel like we should give it another go. I thought you all should know.

Our server made several mistakes throughout the evening and had an unexpectedly aggressive attitude. He forgot my sister's wine twice, brought out an incorrect order, and mishandled my mom's dessert request. There was also confusion around the dessert order. My mom wanted one scoop of gelato and asked about the available flavors. The server was very unclear, using "sorbet" and "gelato" interchangeably throughout the conversation. In the end, she ordered one scoop of "lemon gelato," as he described it, which should have been $3. So we were surprised when the bill came and showed a $14 charge for lemon sorbet--which wasn't even listed on the menu. When we pointed this out, the server responded in a pretty surly manner, though the charge was eventually corrected. After we paid, he brought over a scoop of vanilla gelato and said it was "on him," but the delivery felt sarcastic and he placed it on the table quite aggressively. By that point, we were already full and honestly just ready to leave. Overall, the food and atmosphere were great, but the poor service really put a damper on the evening and left us ending the night on a negative note. Since we were a party of six, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill, which was unfortunate given the level of service we received.

The next thing you'll notice is that the staff is very friendly and really trying to manage the chaos that is being caused by a chaotic kitchen. We were seated directly in-front of the kitchen, so we saw everything: - two or three wait staff anxiously waiting for orders in front of the service station (pick-up) area; - a chef continually looking at an inappropriate movie that was playing on a screen that was oddly positioned where the kitchen staff could view it (WHY) - a kitchen staff that was either doing nothing or working frantically - this is an indication of very poor management; - mediocre appetizers but passable - the entrées were ridiculously poor. I'll only describe mine to save time, but trust each of four were failures. The nerve to send to the table a beautiful piece of blue fin tuna that smelled like the gas used by a small propane gun, that had been partially burned - like on 1/2 of the fish. This shows zero respect for this beautiful creature or the people who ordered it. The lobster risotto that was beneath the fish was cold, lacked any flavor of lobster, and looked as though it had been thrown on the plate from across the room, and then to have the nerve to charge $60 + dollars is ridiculous. We of course requested to speak with the manager, who immediately came to our table, empathized and apologized, we felt heard. He then comped our entire meal which was very generous and appreciated. The chef then came over to apologize, and stated, "I'm so sorry, we dropped a pan and that threw everything off". WHAT? Buddy, we sat there and watched the chaos in your kitchen. The problemS, are not the result of a dropped pan. Apology appreciated, lame excuse was unnecessary and again demonstrated a lack of respect or intelligence. I may return alone, just to see if anything has changed or what show is on the TV.
