Very unassuming spot. Located in the parking lot of a hotel, we almost left. I'm glad we didn't, though.. the food was great! We sat outside, although the inside looked nice as well. My tacos were delicious and full of flavors and my corona was a very cold, what more could a girl ask for?

One of my favorite restaurants when I come to Orlando. Fish On Fire has been a favorite of FlightSafety International instructors and students for as long as I've been coming here (15+ years). The go-to is the blackened fish sandwich. Very tender and juicy. On this occasion, some of the fries were a little undercooked, but that was my only complaint. Service is friendly and was reasonably fast, even during the lunch rush. Decor is Florida dive bar themed with an inside/outside bar. Jimmy Buffett would have felt at home here.

I miss my flight and had to book a motel. Next to my motel, I found this awesome restaurant. Brandy was great!!!!! Super easy going and sweet!!!!!! Didn't expect it to be as good as it was. The alligator was amazing and the prices were excellent. Food was fresh and coleslaw was delicious. Drinks were affordable made my trip a lot better than it was truly grateful. Great experience!!!! Definitely a spot to check out. Service was great! Ambience was excellent had live music!!!!!

Felt like I took a step into old Florida and even maybe the 80's. Definite locals vibe but friendly. Food was great and got my first taste of alligator here. If you want to steer clear of tourist traps, this is a choice.

I will simply have to start with the food--Amazing! The fish is On Fire! My hat is off to the chef- well plated, amazing taste with perfect seasoning. I had the Maui. The others in my party had the fried catfish. Of course we sampled an were not disappointed. One did try the chicken basket; while it was good it was not as on fire as the fish. Sides of choice were the cheese grits and collard greens. I promise, I thought my great grandmother made it- they took me to a special place. We stoped in on vacation an was treated to live music- an unexpected bonus. Service was impressive and the atmosphere was nice. Clean restrooms, friendly waitstaff and awesome food. Will visit again when back in the area. A must try when you are in the area.

Had to be over near the airport today and found this nice little local restaurant - not many of them around with all of the chain restaurants . Our server - Deanna took our order and gave us several suggestions. I got the 8oz Mahi sandwich - large piece of fish, comes with fries and coleslaw. The fish was so big I had to deconstruct the sandwich - and ate the fish by itself.

The food here is surprisingly good food for what one might call a 'dive' bar/restaurant. The service was fast and friendly. They also have live entertainment (and I was there on a Thursday evening). There is both indoor and outdoor seating. I had the catfish dinner which was as expected and tasty. My companion had the ribeye and commented it was fantastic. Recommend and worth a short drive if your good with the atmosphere.

Every now and then I stumble upon a special and unique place to eat and Fish On Fire is my most recent discovery. It's unusual to say the least. It's located on the edge of the MCO property and is a dive bar with a very good kitchen attached. I had dinner here last week before catching an evening flight home. Yelp location is accurate and using some kind of navigation to get here is a good idea because Fish on Fire doesn't even have a sign out front. When you arrive it's in a stand alone building with its own parking lot, The building has covered outdoor seating along with an interior that includes a combination full bar and dining room that also has a small band stage. You see, this country casual dive bar has live music most nights. I ordered the mahi mahi (blackened) upon the recommendation of the waitress for $22. For my two chosen sides I went with red potatoes and cheese grits. I also added a cup of their homemade chicken and rice soup for another $4. The soup came out quickly and was exactly as advertised as it did taste homemade and was delicious. The entree arrived shortly later with a nice sized filet of blackened mahi mahi that was tasty. It was accompanied by boiled red potatoes (very good) with a cup of melted butter for the fish and potatoes. The grits were in a separate bowl with grated cheese on top and yummy! Everything on my plate was an easy 4 score. Plus this bar/restaurant has a lot of character and ambience (4) too. If you are arriving or leaving from MCO do yourself a favor. Come by here for a meal/drink. You'll be glad you did!

More of the fish we brought in, I forget what style they did with this.

We have been wanting to try for a while. This is one of the few places that will cook your fish you bring in. My kid had caught a black fin tuna a few months ago and we wanted to see what a restaurant would do with it. We got it done 3 ways blackened and two other ways. All three were good and the sides were nice. The place has a beachy vibe. They have a pass through bar so expect the restaurant to be warm inside. We went relatively early and they had a band playing and so it was a bit loud.

The food was good. After driving all day I wanted something healthy. I had fish and greens. I can't remember what fish I had. It was grilled and not over cooked. It was tucked away next to my hotel near the airport. It was a Saturday night and they had live music. I ate outside as the music was a little too loud. The prices were good.

We went on a Friday night so it was pretty busy. The staff was very nice and helpful. The live music was nice but if you want to chat with a friend, I recommend sitting outside. The musician, Jeff Howell; was great. FoF features some good local acts. No cover. We ordered hush puppies as a starter and I had a combination shrimp dinner. It was ok, my sides were a little too salty. But otherwise ok. My friend had the shrimp and grits and she said it was a little bland. The surrounding area felt a little sketchy, but I can't say that I felt unsafe.

The grill is next door to our hotel so we picked it. There were lots of other customers when we arrived. It seems popular. They had live music. We opted to sit outside. The waitress was friendly. She seemed to want to make our experience a good one. She checked on us several times. She was apologetic about the order error. The food was ok. We started with the Parmesan stuffed shrimp. The shrimp was medium sized. I had the small burger. I asked for no bun and medium rare. It came with the bun and was well done. It tasted good. The fries were good. The coleslaw was soggy and flavorless. My dining companion had the mahi mahi fried tacos with rice and beans. The rice and beans had little flavor. The tacos had lots of cheese and the salsa was spicy. They were tasty.

If you're in the mood for seafood, then this hole in the wall location near the MCO airport may just do the trick. It doesn't have "camp" in the name, so it's not the best (I have a theory that any fish camp is some good food), but the food was good and the staff is friendly! They have some pretty good catfish which I got in basket form. It was done right with the right breading and size so you weren't eating too much catfish without breading. The waitress did recommend trying the catfish filet and I may do that sometime. Shrimp tacos are my favorite type of tacos and their version were nothing special. I'd stick to something else as they just had normal taco ingredients instead of the usual slaw topping which makes a Shrimp Taco sing. The men's room has an odd little alcove with 2 urinals that may make it a little cozy for the guy in the far urinal to get out without getting a little too close to the 1st urinal guy. If it's someone who drops their pants to their ankles to urinate, then the risk is up to you! It wasn't overly busy on a Saturday around noon so if you're looking to avoid a potential big crowd or loud bands, that may be the time to try. It looks like they have a house drum set, so I'd imagine there's music on various days.

This is more a Bar with loud live music than a restaurant so we couldn't talk at our table, only between songs.

Good seafood at the villages Fl?

This is not at the Villages but rather by the Orlando airport. Fish on Fire serves good seafood and sometimes has live music. More of a 'Cheers style' neighborhood bar.

Feels somewhat like a small-town diner. The menu has awesome choices, but there's a ton of stuff that is $30+ (several $50+) and I really didn't want to spend that much on lunch. I picked a snapper sandwich with a side caesar & my friend got a shrimp quesadilla. They came out about 10-15 mins later. price seemed a bit high, but i know costs have skyrocketed lately, so them's the breaks. The fish on my sandwich was flavorful - but very dry. Would have been better cooked with some kind of fat. The bread was fluffy & nice, but fell apart right away. The veggies in the sandwich were fresh & bright. The caesar side was amazing. they gave me tartar & ketchup, so i asked for cocktail sauce because ketchup is weird for this. No problem. I didn't even finish half because it was so big! My friend's quesadilla was very tasty, but for some reason, it's an absolute oil slick. So the opposite end of the spectrum lol. She enjoyed it but couldn't finish because it was too greasy. There was a thick layer of oil on the plate and on the quesadilla. The ladies working there are really nice & helpful. They checked on us several times. I paid really fast & they got us out the door in less than 45 minutes! I would love to get some of the fancier stuff sometime, but would probably want to eat it elsewhere, because the diner feel doesn't match how fancy the food is. But overall, great experience with the asterisk being the cooking styles & plain appearance. I thought i got pics but can't find them now, but the presentation was great.
