What great food! Get The Beast Bloody Mary. The seafood was so good. Our waitress was very attentive and the decor very kitschy.

This place was highly recommended but it fell short for me. The service was very friendly but the food was mediocre. I ordered the white fish with crawfish sauce and was disappointed. It lacked flavor. I had to add salt and pepper to make it more appetizing. Also, the side options are very limited. The hush puppies, coleslaw, and swamp soup were decent. I don't think I would eat here again if in the area.

Shrimp and oyster platter with fries, puppies okra and slaw! Outstanding!

I haven't eaten for a few days due to an upset tooth but this place is worthy of chewing on one side. Started with a complimentary swamp soup that contained collards ham and beans. It was fantastic and a soothing petit bouche. I was ready to eat! Next, their 1/2 1/2 platter of shrimp, oysters, fries, okra, hushpuppies and slaw. Their oysters were some of the best cornmeal oysters ever. Hushpuppies airy, and slaw creamy good with carrot and green onions. Tartar brought to the table was homemade and chilled. My waitress Sierra P was super nice and accommodating with a few special requests providing excellent service. The open dining wasn't too noisy and there's a fun "watering" hole area that is swampy cute themed. Lots of tourists here today and locals taking a break from the ballpark! I will return with a happier tooth!

Fried oysters, shrimp and swamp soup were great. Po boys were well received by normally finicky daughters.

One of the standout touches is the little shop inside, filled with all kinds of great finds--soaps, mists, lotions, and even kitchen accessories. It's a fun bonus that makes the experience feel a bit more unique. We came in with a group of 16, and they were able to accommodate us in a separate space across from the main area, which worked out really well. If you're planning a visit with a large group, I'd definitely recommend calling ahead. Major shoutout to our server--she handled splitting the check six ways like a pro. Everything came out correctly and fairly close together, which is no small feat with a group our size. I ordered the mahi sandwich, and it was delicious. The bun was perfectly buttered, and the fish itself was flavorful and well-prepared. They also offer a salad bar if you're looking for something lighter. Prices are on the higher side, but that's pretty standard for seafood. Some dishes were served whole--bone-in and all--which caught a few people in our group off guard, but to me, that's usually a sign of freshness. The food did take a bit of time to come out, but given the size of our party, it was understandable. Overall, I really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back.

My grilled shrimp plate, was over cooked. My husband fried oyster plate, " he found a long black hair... wrapped around one of the fried oyster". Manager took the fried oyster plate off our bill. That said, I still had a good experience overall--my wallet and cholesterol just might disagree. We showed up as a large group of 13 people with five separate checks, and our server handled it like an absolute pro. Everything was correct, and their patience at the end of a long day deserves major props. Parking was a pleasant surprise--a spacious private lot conveniently located right by the soccer fields. As for the food, we opted for the fried shrimp because everyone had talked it up. The portion looked big, but most of that was the thick breading. The shrimp inside was tiny and unfortunately lacked flavor. It wasn't bad, just bland and overshadowed by the heavy coating. The restaurant itself is huge and perfect for large parties. I definitely recommend calling ahead. They offer TVs, a salad bar, and a full range of drinks--from cocktails to beer. It's very family-friendly. Prices felt a bit high for the portion sizes, but to be fair, seafood is always on the pricier side. They do offer non-seafood options too, which is nice for anyone in your group who isn't a seafood fan

Hush puppies were pretty darn good, light, nicely seasoned with good flavor. The Cole slaw was excellent. All portions were generous. Unfortunately, that was the high point of the evening. When our table was ready, the hostess had us follow her, then abruptly stopped and sent us back to the hostess stand. We followed her again to a different table, got everyone settled, and then she returned with another party and informed us that we had been seated at the wrong table and needed to move. We were relocated to a rickety table beside the bathrooms. Once seated for the second time, we waited 10 minutes with no server, no menus, and no silverware. Various employees walked by offering pass-arounds of okra and rolls, but no one seemed responsible for our table. After another 10 minutes, one member of our party finally got up and retrieved menus for us. When our server eventually arrived to take drink orders, we mentioned that we still didn't have silverware. Someone later brought six sets of silverware--for a party of seven. We then waited another 10 minutes. Still no drinks. Still no silverware for the seventh guest. Still no butter, condiments, or anything to accompany the rolls that had been handed out. At that point, after 90 minutes from the time we arrived and without receiving a single drink or placing a food order, we made the decision to leave. I've eaten at plenty of busy restaurants and understand that mistakes happen. What was frustrating was the complete lack of organization, communication, and urgency from start to finish. Being seated at the wrong table was unfortunate. Waiting an hour after being seated without drinks or basic table service was unacceptable. We left hungry, frustrated, and genuinely shocked that a restaurant could be operating this chaotically. It was one of the worst dining experiences our family has ever had.
