They have a standard printed menu along with a pretty extensive list of daily specials. I ordered the squid (one of the fish specials that day) over a Caesar salad and really enjoyed it. Everyone in my group seemed happy with their entrees too. We also ordered an assortment of oysters to share. One note was that the waitress dropped them off did so abruptly without explaining which oysters were which. The fish and chips is a proper English style batter with a generous portion that can easily be shared by two or more. Delish. There are two variations of Clam Chowder; a traditional New England style and a red Portuguese stew that is delicious and anything but spicy. Both are good, although I wish this was served in a sourdough bread bowl. For a shared dish, try the kettle chips with the old bay seasoning. So yum. Smash Burger. While both were enjoyable, the Fish & Chips stood out the most. The cod was soft and flaky, encased in a perfectly seasoned, crispy batter with a well balanced fish to batter ratio. The accompanying tartar sauce was excellent, creamy and flavorful. However, I did feel unusually bloated and thirsty for the rest of the evening, which made me wonder if the food contained MSG. The Fish. Smash Burger was solid; the fish was moist and paired nicely with the same tartar sauce. In hindsight, I should have chosen fries instead of the side salad, which lacked flavor and dressing. We ended up finishing everything except the salad. The pickle served with the burger was great, reminiscent of the ones from Super Duper Burgers. One of the highlights of the visit was the outdoor seating area, which is pet friendly! The server, a kind woman (Mexican or Latina?), even offered water for my dog without me having to ask, a very thoughtful touch that I appreciated. They also provide a few selection of hot sauces at the table. I was particularly excited to try a lime habanero sauce (didn't get the brand name), but unfortunately, it tasted very artificial, like the smell of lemon cleaning spray. Some kind of spicy cilantro hot sauce would pair well with seafood. Overall, the meal was satisfying and the service was warm and attentive. I'd gladly return for the Fish & Chips and ocean view.
