I love this place, especially on a warm sunny day over summer. We came here after a hike, so we were hungry, and we were not disappointed. Love this place- has a real locals vibe to it, all fresh fish on the menu, perched right on the dock overlooking the water and the boats, beautiful views over the water. Friendly service, always seems pretty busy but also has like a relaxed vibe to it so you don't feel rushed. We got the white clam chowder bowl, the coleslaw and the fish and chips. Devoured all of it as we watched the hues on the sky change for sunset- so beautiful. The fish was nicely battered and crispy with flaky fresh fish in the center- not overly salted either which i liked. Good wedges and the tartar sauce too seemed homemade, not too tart or creamy- a little lighter so paired well with the fish and chips. Good clam chowder too- good chunks of fish and potatoes in it and nice and creamy. Coleslaw was okay, was a good way to add abit of vegetable into the meal but it was more of an asian coleslaw recipe so wasnt the flavor we were looking for to go with the fish and chips and tartar, but it would have been better maybe with another one of the dishes they had. Been here several times. Food is generally pretty delicious from the fresh seafood to the creative fusion dishes. Self service, order at the counter and find your own seat outside. Love this service model since it provides quick service in a relax environment over the water. Service is a hit or miss here. Sometimes the staff is helpful and other times not so much. Been here on occasions where they wouldn't let me bring the condiments outside and told to find a table with them already there. Came here yesterday for a late lunch and 1/3 of my clam shells weren't open in the pasta. Showed it to multiple staff members and they asked a manager to come over. The manager said that it's pretty normal for the shells to not open and it's because of heat distribution in the pan. He advised I open them with my fork. He brought the plate out again (same 3 pieces of fish) with fries that were marginally warm. The fries were not salted. The malt vinegar came pouring out of the bottle, drenching the entire plate. I recently went to Fish on a beautiful sunset evening, and it truly felt like a hidden gem that I somehow hadn't discovered before. I ordered the hot crab with garlic noodles, and it was absolutely delicious. The portion was generous and honestly very well priced for the quality and amount of food you get. We came her around 3:30/4 on a Sunday of a long weekend. The lot is huge so there's ample parking. Even at that kind of off time, there was still a long line to order. We ended up getting the blackened trout sandwich with fries, which was a special and the bao tacos. My husband got a beer, while I got a margarita. We loved the blackened trout sandwich but the bao tacos weren't our favorite, primarily because of the sauce on them. We'd definitely return but get something else instead of the bao tacos. We ordered clam chowder, set of oysters, and the linguini vongole. All items were delicious! The clam chowder was flavorful and packed with clams. The oysters were super fresh and sweet. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy! The place is right next to the water and has PLENTY of parking right outside. The inside was super on theme with the ocean and marina. There's additional cozier seating in a different room that is hard to notice at first. Also plenty of seating outside if the weather allows it! Placed our orders at the counter and got to choose where we sat. Oysters and clam chowder came out super quickly! This place pleasantly surprised me. The food was so good and fresh. Sure it's a bit pricey but it's 100% worth it for the quality. The crab with garlic noodles stole the show. They were TO DIE FOR! So much crab meat it was insane. Food came out fairly quickly. First you order/pay at cashier and then find seating and they bring food to your table. Indoor and outdoor seating both available. There was a cozy room indoors with books on shelves that made it feel like a warm cabin lounge. We shared the white chowder, fish & chips, fish tacos, and tuna melt sandwich. I felt like the white chowder and fish & chips were both pretty standard, nothing mindblowing. Fish tacos were ok, the fish was a bit dry and not tender. I enjoyed the tuna melt sandwich the most. We got shoestring fries as a side to the tuna melt and they weren't really as thin as shoestring fries but they were still good. I'm usually ok about potato wedges but the ones that came with the fish & chips were crispy and hot on the outside, and soft on the inside. It is a bit pricey but it is made up by the quality of food and the views that you are getting. The hospitality and service is great as they help you bus your tables and get you situated. When you first walk up, there is a sign that says "order first, then get a table". On this particular Saturday, it was fairly busy where the line wrapped around the gate. You can sit inside or outside. I decided to get one of the specials, Blue Fin Tun smashburger and white chowder. My wife got the Bao Tacos, the Ceviche and the housemade sangria Although the Smashburger was good, I felt the patty was lacking flavor and texture. More salt and seasoning would've elevated it. Overall, it was kinda bland, but I also could've added some table salt myself. The white chowder was not my favorite. It was more runny than I anticipated. Not as thick and lacked seasoning like how you think chowder normally is. There was however a good portion of seafood. The Bao Taco's were actually really good. Soft but strong bun, crunchy but flakey fish, and refreshing toppings. I just felt the portions are small compared to the price. It comes down to about $10 per Bao taco. The Ceviche, was by far the best thing we ordered. Chips were unique and crunchy and the ceviche itself packed flavor. Fresh fish and crunchy toppings made it really enjoyable. My wife said the house sangria was not her favorite. We also were not able to get french fries or chips for my little one who has a gluten/shellfish allergy because they apparently fry the fries and chips in the same fryer as everything else. So that was a bummer. Even though we brought her own food just incase, good thing she wasn't hungry. Me on the other hand, I tried the wedge fries and they saved the meal for me. For instance, my trout smash burger was poignant and subtle in its blend of tastes, but could be summed up as a filet o'fish with delusions of grandeur. I'd order it again. Not trimmed perfectly but tolerable. My friend had the trout hotdogs which were honestly not great. Just basically a hotdog taste and then a fish after taste. Sooo much sauce. Compared to everything else on this wonderful menu they were probably at the bottom. I had the salmon belly "fish bits". $24 for 4 strips of salmon with the skin on (fins too) on a salad. Made for more work than I wanted to eat it, salmon was nothing special (not super luscious or anything to warrant the "belly" label and had to search for the grill marks), plus the salad was totally doused in dressing. The service is quick after you order, however there is an extremely long line to order your food. The line wraps around the entire restaurant. There was a line out the door, and I ended up waiting about 40-50 minutes to place my order, then another 15-20 minutes for the food to arrive. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. I tried the clam chowder, fish & chips, and a tuna melt. The fish & chips were fine--not bad, but nothing special. The batter was crispy and the fish was tender, but overall, it didn't stand out as exceptional. Unfortunately, the tuna melt was a letdown. Considering the long wait, I don't think it was worth it.
