    Crab guacamole
    Andrew M.

First meal great meal. Greeted by a very confident and competent server put us at ease right away, taking any order of bowl cream of crab vs a cup of crab so smoothly really sets a tone. Appetizers and soups came fast and were delicious, though I did greatly prefer the cream of crab. The crab guacamole surprised us with the generous serving. The crab on top did add more to the flavor profile than expected. The entrees took long enough for us to enjoy the sunset. The view from the lower floor was good, charming, and very comfortable. The vibe was family friendly outdoor. The live music was playing all the greatest hits at an unobtrusive volume. Crab cake sandwich satisfied. It was cooked well and the texture of the crunch with the bread and tomatoe all blended perfectly. I added some the 'slaw to mine and thought the tang blended well. The lemon fish entree was a little on the mild side but had no complaints, might try something else next time. Dessert was rice pudding and coconut cream pie. Get the pie! It was super flavorful and light, really complimented the summer outdoor vibes. The rice pudding was good, cinnamon on the rim was a nice touch but maybe it's the scarcity of the pie that makes it more coveted. Great meal, will be back!

We liked this restaurant very much. We started out with the crab dip which was delicious!!! My husband had the Fish Whistle Lemon Butter (halibut) and I had the smoked salmon on rye bread. Both were great! The salmon is smoked on the premises and is wonderful! For dessert we had the regular and pistachio cheese cake which was creamy and delicious . The service was great and the view was very nice. We will return back.

Bailey enjoying the live music, good company and great service.

This was a solid lunch spot on the water. We got the crab cakes, bourbon bbq ribs, jerk chicken skewers, blueberry mojitos, and for dessert the chocolate sugar cookie with mint chocolate chip ice cream. The crab cakes were delicious and the bourbon bbq ribs were solid. We'd pass on the jerk chicken skewers, they were kind of dry and small, and tasted of only oregano. The blueberry mojitos were awesome, as was the dessert! The chocolate sugar cookie was fat, and super soft and I'll be dreaming of it until I have it again. The ice cream was good too!

Service- Out of this world. Jennifer was great. Food. Amazing. Been coming to the Granery for many years, (25+) during hunting seasons. This was the best meal I can remember. Oyster Sampler was incredible. Hush Puppies, scallops wrapped in bacon, onion soup, & wedge salad, for appetizers cooked & delivered perfectly. Prime Rib, pasta scallops & shrimp for dinners, omg. Delish. We will Def drive 2.5 hours & get a hotel for dinner again here!!!!!! Thanks for knocking it out of the park!

We sat downstairs with a limited menu. The view was awesome and service was good - but not great. Prime rib was over cooked, order was not correct for 3 out of 4 diners. If you're looking for bar food and drinks then downstairs is the place. For better dining and conversations we should have tried the dining room. We will give it another shot!

Came here for a birthday dinner. Appetizers of jalapeños stuffed with pulled pork, crab dip and catfish fingers were all great. I had the jambalaya which was really good but a little wetter than I prefer. Service was good but tried to come as an upscale place even though pricey I wouldn't call anything about it upscale. Food was all good. Mixed drinks were weak for the price paid.

Bartender was great. Kitchen total embarrassment. Lived here for over 35 years. Lot of history in the local establishments. Mike your kitchen sucks. Hope something else in area opens up soon. Won't spend another dime here. Again, great job by bartender. Shame. We'd easily spend 100 tonite eating, drinking and being merry. With all the area choices this is one I won't make again. Sad. I wish I could post less than one star.

It's a pretty cool place - a large open bar and restaurant on the left, and a liquor/beer store on the right. On this visit, we sat at the bar for an hour or so. The girls working there were very sweet and talkative. I liked the openness of the place, but my husband thinks the bar area should be separated a bit from the restaurant area - I mean, not totally closed off, but maybe a half wall or something to define the spaces a little. The food was pretty good. We ordered fried pickles and ate those while we there - they were good but we prefer a little less breading and thicker pickles. I definitely like the slices over whole spears, but theirs seemed a little thinner than typical hamburger pickle slices. To go, we ordered the cheeseburger with candied bacon with a side of mac and cheese, and an additional side of the smashed potato salad. The burger was great and the candied bacon was delish (I could have eaten a whole pile of it). The mac and cheese was good too. I was a little disappointed in the smashed potato salad though - sorry, but it just didn't seem like "potato salad" to me - it was straight up just their smashed potatoes with boiled eggs in it. Anyway, I adore potato salad and was intrigued enough to try it, but I don't think I'll be getting it again. Overall though - a nice place that I'm sure we'll be visiting again soon.

Looking through the glass panes in their door at the bottom of the steps leading to the back yard and C & D Canal, it appeared that the lights were off and that it wasn't open for business at 3:00 p.m. The door wasn't locked, so I opened it to step inside to try for a better look. It was then I saw a woman behind the bar who appeared to be setting up for business. She also saw me and asked if she could be of service. I asked if the place was open? She explained that it was, and she would be happy to make me a cocktail, however, they rarely had customers this time of day midweek, and that if I was hungry the restaurant above would certainly be happy to take care of me. The conversation continued briefly as she explained the two businesses had a common owner and shared a kitchen with a slightly different, but mainly overlapping menu. The large dining room next door was shared, although there were several tables in the shadows as well as a few barstools. The darkness seemed appropriate; like a cave where many things could be hidden from view and likely to instill a sense of secrecy and even conspiracy, for example, a perfect stop for the Underground Railroad or a speakeasy during Prohibition. Realizing I was taking up her time, and that she had better things to do than listen to a stranger's fantasies, I excused myself and exited the door I had just entered. She smiled and nodded, as she continued wiping the glassware in preparation for the night's guests.

The bar tender was very nice, very courteous . Then the issues began to emerge. Keep in mind what time it is and there are only 6-7 people in the bar. The men's bathroom was filthy. Like there was excrement on the wall, trash cans over flowing and toilet paper on the wall, stuck to it. All over the floor. The bar tender said something to the manager and the excuse was that it was the bait parade the night before. They have had over 12 hours to clean the bathroom. The nachos were absolutely gross. Poured cheese, 3 jalapeños, cold chicken. Two years ago it was a mix of cheese and smoked chicken, and delicious. I hope the owners read this and take note. Your saving money on cheap ingredients will lose clientele. A gross bathroom should have you shut down. Do better. You have a great location and a special little bar.
