I always stop by Fisherman Jack's when I'm in Everett for work. The service is great. The views (especially sunset) are beautiful, and the food is delicious. You also can't beat $10 martinis or manhattens during happy hour! The alcohol selection for these drinks are the best I've seen for the price. Can't wait to go back! read more

This place was awesome. It's a beautiful spot. Very clean and upscale. Pretty pricey but I knew that going in. Great selection of Bourbon and it's hard to find EH Taylor at places. Food was fantastic and got so many different items. It was hard to decide which one was my favorite. Our server was amazing as well. Totally delicious, completely worth the small wait. A table of 3, we had hot & sour soup, garlic broccoli, (a bit on the slimy side for my preference, but the others liked it) and for our dinner we all shared sweet/sour chicken, mongolian beef, vegetable fried rice, and General Ng's Chicken. ALL delicious. Tender white meat chicken, flavorful sauce without being too sweet or too salty. The crispy batter was not at all greasy or heavy. The steak was tender and delicious. No chewy parts, not rubbery at all. We also had an ice cream nut at the table, so we had the ice cream flight for dessert. You can pick your 3 flavors, and the server messed up one of our options, so brought out the corrected flavor without needing to be asked so we ended up tasting four of the flavors. (mango, vanilla, toasted coconut, and espresso) The espresso was everyone's favorite, but I personally enjoyed the toasted coconut the most. Definitely go. Eat. Enjoy. No regerts. Stop. Don't go here. Prices are outrageous for portions. Food is super greasy and totally flavorless. We got the General Ng's chicken, the menu had "spicy" next to it so I was a little worried since I can't do much spice, but my husband loves it so we went for it. There was ZERO spice, but also ZERO flavor. There's hardly any chicken inside the breading. It was like eating sticky breading with no flavor. The green onions on top had good flavor, but also the only flavor we could taste. We got the Mongolian Beef, hardly any beef. Small pieces. ZERO flavor again. The veggie friend rice was the best dish, it was piping hot and good texture, but no flavor. Small dish, not family sized. The veggie chow main looked good, but wasn't. Also no flavor and super greasy. Also small portion. We got the appetizer sampler, it was very small portions for the price. You get one of the 5 appetizers, in the middle is a large white appetizer with red sauce and it tastes like uncooked biscuits and is so dry. The veggie dumpling had zero flavor and the other three were just gross. My husband got a beer which was good. I tried to order their drink special that was listed at the front door, but the waitress said they didn't have it. So I got a Tito's and lemonade, I asked if they could throw cherries or strawberries in it, they didn't have any fruit for drinks. They used Minute Maid lemonade and it didn't have any vodka taste at all. It was hard to drink. It reminded me of the bowling alley drinks. I also got an iced tea, they use Lipton out of the soda machine for sure, for an upscale restaurant I would think they could at least brew some good tea. The service was good. We made reservations so we were sat right away. The building is very pretty, don't go when the sun is setting because the sun beats into the restaurant and it's super hot in there, they don't have blinds so everyone had sun in their eyes and was sweating. It's a nice view of the water, that's really the only good part. For 2 people getting 2 entrees, 1 app, 2 sides, beer, drink and iced tea - $145. It was our 20th anniversary and we left feeling so sick from the food and today, the next day... we still have upset stomachs. I really wish I had opted for the Jet Bar or Scuttlebutt lol! We came in for a meal on a bustling Tuesday night on the enthusiastic recommendations of two different friends. First impressions were that someone had invested heavily in the beautiful, unique, and classy decor - throughout the restaurant, everything was eye catching and very nicely appointed. We ordered some cocktails, most of the dim sum page, a couple cups of soup, and the green beans. Then later, (as a necessary follow up to all the anemic dim sum) the General Ng's Chicken. The drinks arrived first and were great! Lovely, well-crafted cocktails from a very robust bar menu - I ordered the Tiger Paw. For food we ordered the Lobster Dumplings, Seafood Shu Mai, Pan Fried pork dumplings, Pork Soup Dumplings and pot stickers - all of which was a disappointment. Our first red flag should have been when the waiter called our 5 dish Dim Sum order "just a bunch of appetizers". Portions were underwhelming (each piece like a miniature of dim sum from anywhere else), which would have been fine if the flavor had been bold or exciting (or even good!), but by and large, it was just... flat. Each dish tasted about 70% of the way there, but with seemingly a lack of internal seasoning that held it all back from the crossing the flavor finish line. The soup: good - a mild Egg Drop and a zesty Hot and Sour arrived very hot. The green beans: stingily portioned but fresh and good... simple, though with a restrained flavor profile. After all that, our party remained hungry, so we ventured on to the other half of the menu and ordered the General Ng's (General Tso anywhere else), which turned out to be just a well arranged regular plate of above average General Tso's. By the end of the meal, we felt pleasant but disappointed. After the check arrived, that pleasant feeling evaporated a bit. For the time being, we won't be back. I'm glad the Everett waterfront is developing with some beautiful restaurants like this one. The bar is good and the servers are enthusiastic. Hopefully in a year or two, the kitchen will have caught up with the ambitious pricing and even more ambitious aesthetic of the front of house. read more

Well I've been wanting to try Fisherman Jacks since it opened but wanted to wait a bit to give the staff some time to get some experience under their belts. I did some research reading some of the reviews and looked over the menu so I had a good idea of what to expect. The restaurant is very nice it has indoor and a sun room plus when spring hits outdoor dining. Being on the water front this should add to the ambiance, when my family dined it was storming outside we had made reservations as recommended from some of the reviews I had read so we, my wife daughter and my youngest granddaughter were seated quickly in a nicely sized booth. Met our server and water was provided she asked if we had dined there before I informed her it was our first time so she gave us the 411, it's family ordering, lots of sharing and there's a paper form to place your orders was a first for me but might be the usual for a dim sum restaurant. So my wife is more comfortable ordering from a more Americanized Chinese restaurant so is my Granddaughter but they were able to find menu items that they were happy to try familiar names but dine here with a more authentic flair. We all , except my Granddaughter ordered Egg Drop Soup then my wife ordered the Cashew Chicken and my granddaughter ordered Vegetable Fried Rice they also tried the Garlic Cucumber Salad. Now my daughter and I are more adventurous we started with Shrimp and Pork Sui Mia, and the Barbecue Pork Bao, my Daughter chose the Mongolian Beef and I selected the Seafood Chow Mien. Two orders of Sautéed Green Beans rounded out our meals. Our server took our order and I was able to took take a look around the restaurant it was very nice with a nice atmosphere also we got our water filled quickly by the attentive staff when the Egg Drop Soup arrived. To me it was was nice not anything over the top but my wife really enjoyed it though it was super hot. Next my daughter and my appetizers arrived along with the Garlic Cucumber Salad. I can tell you that the Sui Mai and Bao are delicious wish you got more they both are so good. My family also really enjoyed the salad. As we were finishing our appetizers the wait staff removed the plates that they arrived in to make room for our entrees. There was a nice flow to the dinner not rushed just convenient so things didn't get crowded which was nice. Everyone enjoyed their entrees I got to try some of everything, family style right, so I was able to to sample a good variety and all were flavorful and delicious. My Seafood Chow Mien had a abundance of scallops, shrimp and crab claws it was easy to get seafood with every bite, the noodles were cooked perfectly what was nice was there wasn't a bunch of vegetables in the meal the seafood really stood out.What for me was a nice surprise was how much my wife enjoyed her meal, that means I get to come back!!!! I have read so many amazing reviews for this place and was so excited to try it. The location is perfect. Staff was ok not attentive at all. I did have a delicious espresso martini. My husband said his beer was flat and not cold. The hot and sour soup was pretty good. The pork looked and tasted exactly like what I buy at Costco. Which is good, but when I go out to eat I expect fresh made. The dim sum was not good at all. It was not fresh made, rubbery and very fishy. They're priced like din Thai fung, but definitely not the quality. We were very disappointed and won't return. read more

Decided to try this for family Christmas Eve dinner tonight. My favorite of the evening was the hot and sour soup. Dont bother with the cup. Get the bowl. Cup is tiny for the price. The bowl is much larger portion. My family was dissatisfied with the green beans. For the price there wasn't much to that dish and we all wanted to share it. A few green beans and some onions. Poorly done knock off to DTF not worth the price or the taste. The rest of the food portion sizes were fairly small left us wanting more which we ended up having to reorder to satisfy everyone. All in all we averaged about $40 per plate per person which for what we actually got is quite high in my opinion and not worth the cost. Service was ok and ambiance is fine. But food portions are lacking for the price. Probably wouldn't do this one again as a family. Too expensive, $200 tab without alcohol. Maybe a date night for 2 is more appropriate. read more

I LOVED IT!!! Omg so good - north snohomish county has been needing dumplings for a long time. The hostess was very sweet and cheerful when arriving, the waiter was very attentive and he checked in on us quite a bit. The food was seriously so freakin good, I would say the dumplings are just as good if not better than din tai fung and dough zone. The mixed drinks really weren't my favorite so I'll probably stick to wine or sake next time, but presentation was beautiful. My husband enjoyed his Moscow mules though. Also I loved how the covered outside (the part where the garage doors are) and outside patio all had heaters. So smart for PNW lol. We will be back many many more times. We held a family birthday with 10 people. The outside, but under cover seating was so pleasant, right on the boardwalk and water. Fisherman Jack's has appealing and modern decor and service ware. Service was exceptional. The service staff assigned to our table delivered our order efficiently, accurately, and most importantly hot. We ordered family style and had maybe 14-15 items for the group, including some people who need Vegan options. The Asian Fusion-style dishes were excellent. Fresh, well-seasoned, and visually appealing, as well as, delicious. We ordered several seafood dishes that each tasted unique and flavorful. I can't wait to dine there again. Menu is limited and dim sum prices are 2-3 times higher than Chinese restaurants, but the ambience and service definitely make up for it. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with detailed pieces and the staff are friendly, attentive and helpful with the menu. Everyone these days will do the chicken lettuce wrap thing - their's is a notch up. Especially if you drizzle on top some of that yumminess the chili won tons come in. (FYI wontons are pretty sizable. No skimping at this place.) Also tried the General Ng's (fluffy crispy goodness), string beans (perfectly garlicky seasoned) and beef show mein (not greasy AT ALL). Everything was excellent! Four stars because with the shared dishes the prices were a little high for the overall food portions received. But so, so good. Great service, attentive and checked in just enough. My cocktail was good too. Oh boy.... Positives include location, aesthetics, and concept. Now let's talk about what's going on at this restaurant. We had 7:30 reservations on a Saturday night and struggled to find the entrance for a minute. The door itself is a health risk, it's giant, swings shut quickly and swings open as quickly as well. The lobby is not intended for multiple people, and the host explained they were running behind about 15 minutes on reservations. We were lined up against the wall competing with servers trying to navigate the entrance area. Seating for waiting was limited to room for four and the bar is adjacent so quite tight. The host was stressed out and defensive, constantly trying to explain away the issues of being too busy and understaffed. Not a good look while folks are waiting. Then staff brought a garbage can through the lobby and the host and staff took the garbage out the front giant door. The host explained that the garbage was "too heavy" to take out the regular backdoor. That used to get you fired in restaurants. Once our table was ready, it was strangely uncomfortable when both the staff that seated us and the staff bringing water didn't say a word, nothing. I finally asked if there was a vow of silence in effect and the staff said hello and apologized for not responding. They stated they were pretty overwhelmed. Waiter was kind, doing the best he could, but he understood it was difficult to get seated without worrying if the entire experience would suck. . He explained we order off a ticket list and we picked out about 8 items which mostly came out about fifteen minutes after ordering. Unfortunately they were out of several items, and a promised egg flower soup never arrived (it went from "we are making it" to "oh yeah we ran out", but we weren't charged. Also no sticky rice??? Everyone felt rushed by the process, don't think family style means eating as fast as you can, but the food generally comes out all at once, or as ready, depending on what you order. Green beans were good, pork buns great, dumplings average, lettuce wraps pretty good. Had to watch our waiter try to clear out his own huge tables, again, just a bad look. You just can't expect good service if everyone is overwhelmed with too many responsibilities. Cocktails were average for the cost. Like most say, desserts just weren't inspired. We really hope that Jacks figures out how to meet the challenge of being successful. Folks want to eat here, it's obvious, but challenge's definitely remain at this time. A general manager on the floor would be an asset, and don't take reservations at this time, it's causing issues for staff and customers. Also, You might want to remove about 20% of the tables and serve those who come in well rather than meeting only partial expectations, at least until you can hire and train enough employees. Ambiance: really great! You can tell a lot of attention went into design and decor. Even the utensils were pretty! Service: mixed feelings here. When we arrived we were told they were only accepting reservations. Ok no problem - I hopped on open table and there were reservations open for every 15 mins throughout the night. I was able to get one for right then. After being seated we weren't greeted or given water for over 10 minutes. When our server finally arrived he just grabbed our order sheet and wandered off. After another 15 mins, one of our dishes arrived. At this point our waters were empty but despite multiple people walking around with water jugs they happened to skip our table each time. Then another 15 minutes later the other dishes finally arrived. The highlight of the night was the excitement about the food by one of the gals who delivered our food! If you want dessert, be sure to add it to your paper order sheet at the start of the meal, otherwise you'll just get your check when you look like you're done eating. Food: this was mostly a miss for me. Soup dumplings - only 2 of our 6 dumplings had any soup in them. Crab rangoons - these were very crab forward and nice and crisp. Green beans - sooo salty (and I am known as a salt addict amongst my friends and family so for me to be unable to eat these is quite a feat) Spicy wontons: the skins on these were so soggy that it fell off immediately when we picked them up. Mongolian beef: pretty standard. Nothing good or bad to say here. Doesn't come with rice, so be sure to order some if you would like to have it with rice. All in all this was a 1 to 2 star experience but I am giving it an extra couple courtesy stars since they just opened. read more

Just opened up a couple of weeks ago so they are working out a few things still. Overall enjoyed the ambiance if a little loud, but it was packed so maybe not the best night. The were out of the Lobster dim sum so we ended up with Shrimp and Pork Siu Mai, bbq pork bao, and crab Rangoon. The Rangoons were outstanding and the Shrimp &pork siu mai really good also. Main course was Mongolian Beef and an ok Sweet and Sour Chicken. We both would come back for the beef but skip the chicken. My son was impressed with his cheese cake, light and fluffy. First and foremost, I'm so happy to have a new place on the waterfront! Great seeing Everett get so many new restaurants and aiming to improve the area. Fisherman Jack's has a great location and from what I can tell is always busy. On top of the location, it's a nice ambiance and the service is good. All in all, I love the energy and environment. When it comes to the food, I've visited twice and can say, some work needs to be done. The dim sum and crab rangoon is fantastic! Those dishes are an absolute 5/5. Where my lower rating comes into play is the main entrées felt flat, specifically the sautéed dishes. I tried multiple dishes including both sea bass dishes, green beans (veggie dish), and the chicken cashews. Unfortunately, all of these fell flat in my opinion. There's absolutely potential and I encourage folks to give it a try for themselves, but I think it will be some time before I try an entrée again. read more

Chef's Kiss! Hubby & I have been wanting to check this place out since they moved in. We were pleasently surprised to see that it wasn't just another "fish-n-chips" American joint but instead an upscale, dare I say, posh Chinese cuisine establishment. The decor started on the outside with the grand, enormous, modern swinging door balanced on both sides with two traditional Chinese Dogs. Once you walk in you're greeted with more modern, yet refined, art from the wall on the left to the multiple art pieces sprinkled throughout the restaurant. Their wine "cooler" is one you might find in Bill Gates's smaller homes. The art to decipher whether one should go to the right or left when needing to wash up should be hung in an art gallery. Oh, I guess I should say something about the food, huh? Let's just say that the art was a reflection of how well the food was prepared. Honestly I will have a difficult time not ordering the Seabass Roll , Seafood Fried Rice & Jack's Miso Black Cod as they were some of the best dishes I've experienced in a long time. Our compliments to the chef! As for service? It was worth a tip I didn't feel forced to give. Our server was extremely attentive & we appreciated her suggestions as we could tell she was speaking from experience and not just because she worked there.
