Received an invite to their soft opening, and I'm glad we did as this restaurant will be difficult to book a reservation once they officially open! We had: Spicy wontons - absolutely the best we've had, and easily beats the ones at DTF. The stuffing-to-dough ratio is very high and the spice level of the sauce is just right. Green beans - another great dish, either for apps or a side dish. Cooked perfectly with a hint of garlic paste. General Ng's - crispy coating, sauced right, and very tasty Chicken Chow Mein - a little dryer than I like, but I added some chili oil mixed with soy sauce and we finished the plate Sydney was our server and was very accommodating, coming back a few times just to check in with us...overall, a true 5-star experience! Very similar to DTF, a lot of menu items and the way you order are the same. Went here twice and while the first time we weren't really impressed with the food, the second made up for it. Spicy wontons were soo good! I could drink the broth. The Mongolian beef also was extremely tender and flavorful with the perfect little kick of heat at the end. The garlic cucumber salad is delicious, the pork wonton soup, I feel like there's something missing in the soup, and I wish the greens there include some cilantro, the wonton itself is okay, right size but taste wise I've tasted better ones. The sampler is okay, except for the gyoza, the rest tasted like something I've already had from the Asian stores. I sort of expected a certain unique taste that is just theirs. The sea bass is really good, vegetables cooked perfectly, but the onions haven't been chosen well (yes, I'm being picky) . This is just my own opinion. Overall the experience is nice. read more

Fisherman Jack's is a solid choice for a nice meal. I've gone several times and they have great food with lovely views. My favorite dishes are the Szechuan Seabass and Spicy Wontons. The General Ng's Chicken is also very good! They offer a small selection of dim sum that I personally think is a bit overpriced but it is tasty as well. The inside is absolutely beautiful and we've always had wonderful service. They're also a great pick for happy hour! There's plenty of free parking and you can walk the pier after eating, which is especially nice on warm summer evenings. Definitely give them a try! read more

We have been to Fisherman Jacks a few times and always have a great experience. The food is fresh, delicious, the cocktails always hit the spot, and the service is wonderful. Plus they have a wonderful view of the Everett marina. We started our meal with the Hot and Sour Soup, which I would *highly* recommend. Our other favs were the Walnut Shrimp Wraps, the Miso Black Cod, and the Sautéed Green Beans. We will be back (again!)! My other recommendation would be to dress warmly. Wait staff was friendly, responsive, and BUSY. We ended up needing to talk to the manager twice. Our initial order of Neptune's Plate (Bowl?) had crab shells in it, and then the plate they replaced it with had shells again we were sharing the entire meal as a family and could not feed it to our daughter. Again, the staff handled the situation well but it did negatively impact our evening. Nearly every wall in Fisherman Jack's is photo worthy. However, the architect of the building included a number of tripping hazards where the doors for their outdoor seating are. Beware if it's a busy night and they try to seat you outside. read more

I am surprised this place doesn't have a higher rating! I have been twice, once for lunch and once for dinner and was really impressed each time. I am excited about the Port development and all the upscale dining options coming with it. This is a great spot for a date night or just a night out. Elegant ambiance and tastefully decorated in the space. Everything we tried both times has been delicious, the servers have always been quick and attentive. The price is comparable to Din Tai Fung or P.F. Changs. Parking can be a little dicey in the evenings or when the Port is busy but that's the nature of that area. read more

A friend and I went here about a week ago. I'm surprised at the high rating this place has. We were not impressed with the food. The vibe is great and the outdoor seating a great place to watch a sunset or just people watch. The service was good. Those things were nice. But the food, not so much. We ordered the bbq pork bao, Neptune noodles, and cashew chicken. Of the 3 the bao was the best. Sadly the noodles lacked flavor. I had to add soy sauce and chili sauce to get some flavor. The cashew chicken looked like it had some sort of sauce, but again lacked flavor and the chicken was dry. Neither of our entrees met our expectations. I think there's other, better, restaurants to try. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

We started with wonton in chili sauce - not too spicy and delicious. We also enjoyed the mussels in curry sauce. Order some rice to use up that sauce. Yum! The clams were good with the Chinese sausage, but not as exciting as the mussels. Crab rangoon with Dungeness crab were a treat and cooked perfectly. Next came the seafood fried rice Jack's style. Worth the splurge with fresh shrimp and scallops shining through. Surprisingly loved the General Ng chicken. Not usually my thing, we didn't leave a morsel. We tried a number of dishes, but being a working lunch did not try the cocktail venue. That said I'm going to have to come back witha social meeting here so I can do that. I've been to Fisherman Jack's quite a few times and tried almost the entire menu at this point. Everything is absolutely delectable and always cooked to perfection. I have yet to try something on the menu that is bad. We're particularly big fans of the Sea Bass Roll, the Cucumber Salad, and the Mongolian Beef. The Coconut Curry Mussels are amazing, we tried the sauce with chicken and it was to die for. The drinks are also incredible and so charming. My personal favorite is the Lavender Breeze, I'm so glad they made it permanent! The vibes are so cute, I really love sitting in the covered outdoor area and looking at the incredible view. But let's talk about the REAL star of the show: LAUREN. I have had Lauren as my server 3x now and oh. my. god. She is the best ever. She remembers what I like to drink, she's extremely attentive, she's recommends the best food, and she's always down to chat about the great outdoors. She makes us feel so welcome and cared for. And she's SO fun. Just a total icon. I ordered the Lavender Breeze and she put the cutest little decorations on it, just for me. I felt so special!!! Never change, Lauren. The staff that were helping us this evening were friendly, kind and helpful. We never at any point felt rushed during our time and were fully able to enjoy our meal. Lastly, the food. The food speaks for itself in my photos but every single menu item we received was well cooked, flavorful and absolutely delicious. I've been to Fisherman Jack's twice and mostly enjoyed both times. It's located in a great spot with nice walking paths nearby. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance and good decor. It's not super packed and the layout is a bit different with separate and distinct indoor and outdoor spaces. I like the little design touches throughout. The food is tasty but some of the portions can be small. Some of the prices are also a bit on the high side. On my couple of visits, the food was hot, fresh, and cooked very well. Vegetables have good texture and the meats are moist and succulent and not dried out. On my last visit, I had General Ng's Chicken, Chicken Chow Mein, and Pan Fried Pork Baos. Everything was great. The service during my visits was where I was let down. My first visit was with my wife on a busy weeknight, it seemed that they forgot about us for a while despite other tables getting tons of service. On my second visit, I was alone on a lazy, slow Sunday afternoon, and it was the same thing. Other tables got lots of service while I watched YouTube videos waiting for my server. I'm jealous of other reviewers who have experienced great service here. Overall, I like this place and will be back. The interior is classy/upscale with a modern flair (not over done) while the exterior fits perfectly at the waterfront. The architect nailed the boathouse experience. An extra 5 stars for the view and situating all the tables to enjoy the view. The outdoor covered area is a great idea in the PNW. 5 stars for the food. I loved the menu, it had enough without going overboard. The prices are fair for the portions, quality, and service. I wish it had a Fish & Chips option prepared in the pan-Asian style aligned with the rest of the menu. Hopefully, the menu will include seasonal fish. 5 stars for the staff. I hate leaving bad reviews but unfortunately last night's visit warrants one. We usually really enjoy coming here so I chose to go here for my birthday. Unfortunately, the waitress clearly just did not give one care about our table. We all kind of agreed that because we were such a large party and her tip was automatically included that she just didn't bother to put in the effort. Not sure why they asked if we were celebrating when I made the reservation if they didn't even say happy birthday but oh well. I just feel sick that my husband paid over $400 including tip and we had such a negative experience. Fisherman Jack's has been on my to-do list since before they opened. I personally like to wait a couple months, let the staff and chef's work out the kinks, and then go and order one of almost everything on the menu to taste what they offer. The food was amazing. We started off with the spicy wontons (add chow mein!), crab rangoons and egg flower soup. My husband has decided that next time we go (because we will definitely be returning), he is getting a double order of the spicy wontons with chow mein. It had a kick but wasn't overpowering, the egg flower soup was creamy and had layers of flavor through it, and the Rangoons.... Omg if I hadn't ordered so much, I would have definitely ate all of them. Paired with the sweet and sour sauce, they were crunchy with the perfect crab blend inside. Next we got the soup dumplings, lobster dumplings and pan fried potstickers. I wasn't a fan of the lobster dumplings, but to be fair, I could see how others would love them. The soup dumplings and fried potstickers were flavorful and well cooked. Next we had the chicken chow mein, Mongolian beef and General Ng's (at the suggestion of Jayden B, our amazing waiter). Each plate was delicious, with multiple flavor notes and the meats tender. I was so full but couldn't put down my chopsticks. Service from start to finish was amazing. Every employee we met was super kind and friendly. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the booth we were sat in was cozy yet allowed us to view the outside dancing lights. 3.5 stars, came here for lunch, there was a group of five of us and we sat outside. All the food options are family style so we ordered several different things to share. The service seemed slow and it took a very long time to get our last ordered dish, we had to ask two separate occasions about the missing dish--chicken and broccoli. The spicy wonton soup seemed to be the winning contender from everyone at our table. I ordered the spicy wonton to go because it was so good but it actually didn't taste as good nor the same size as the dining-in, portion. The sampler basket is not very good, collectively that was probably our least favorite menu item that we had ordered. The chicken and broccoli was tasty but it did take a very long time to arrive to our table after we had finished all our other dishes. The glass garage doors on the dining room will allow for awesome al fresco dining in the summer. We had egg flour soup, sticky rice, siu mai, pork long bao, and chow mein. All of the dishes were tasty but we preferred the dim sum over the noodles. I had wine, but the cocktail menu looked creative with some Asian-inspired drinks. It's always risky to try a restaurant on the water's edge as they often have little more than the view to recommend them. Fisherman Jacks is such a restaurant. They claim to be Asian fusion, but I really wonder if the chef has ever tasted real Chinese or Japanese food. The sautéed green beans were clearly deep fried and had almost no seasoning and were sprinkled on layer of raw sliced onion--yuck. The sautéed broccoli was in a cornstarch-heavy tasteless sauce. Szechuan sea bass was flavorless and did not appear to have any Szechuan pepper corns in it. The miso cod was average, though once again, too sweet. The General Ng chicken was cloyingly sweet. The pork bao had an overly sweet filling and somehow they managed to produced a dry dough despite the fact that the buns were steamed. The pot sticker filling lacked ginger and garlic. The veggie pot sticker filling was terribly bland and the pot sticker skin was tough. The tofu lettuce wraps were unexceptional, but not too bad. The Mongolian beef was OK. Made the mistake of having the French press coffee and it was surprisingly weak. The location is great, the waitstaff are barely average. read more

It was a bit harder to stomach especially when it's busy but not completely packed... if it was, and we were waiting for the table to finish and go, sure; but it was visible that there were empty tables so that was confusing. We had at least 5 different people waiting the table and I personally felt only one was attentive enough. It was also interesting that the person who took our order was never to be seen, nor was he the one who had ever checked in the entire time. Food: I get that I might have different expectations towards what Asian food should be like, but I think the best way to describe the food would be "a good gateway to Asian fusion food for those who aren't as adventurous before and have extra $$$$ to spare." Portion is on a smaller size for a table of 4 imo. The beans we ordered were tasteless and barely salted, and I'm also confused as to how the onion stir-fried with the beans were merely coated with oil and completely raw. Ambiance: it was a crowded weekday dinner; and it's hard to keep a conversation almost. I almost wanted to use my Loop just because how loud it was around us. The decor was going for a bougie vibe. Not sure if the nearby event has something to do with the crowd but it was pretty busy.
