El Cubano was fantastic!! Meat was juicy and delicious. Everything was served up hot and fresh. We each ordered a cubano, but neither of us could finish both halves--one is plenty for sharing. There are only a few seats but the fans are blowing strong and you can easily take your food to go. read more

Stopped by for a late lunch to-go. Craving the Coco Lobster Tacos, however none were available. The employee was a lovely Latin woman and explained why w/ ease and assurance they would have them tomorr. "SETTLED" is a strong and incorrect word, but went w/ the blackened shrimp wrap x 2 w/ yucca fries and plantains. Ridiculous is the only word...wow...the flavor and freshness was incomparable. I love that you can call in your order or place online and pick up in 10-20 minutes! The egg and cheese on Cuban bread is one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches! I add bacon but you can add pretty much anything you'd like. The shrimp wrap is a good option for a lite but filling lunch. The Cubano breakfast sandwich has a great local flavor. Best kept secret in Key West. I love this little side street of vendors; it's out of the way, not super busy. This little place offers incredible breakfast and lunch. Cuban and Caribbean meet. Literally the best shrimp and grits I've ever had, and I've lived in the South the majority of my life. Shrimp were huge and incredibly seasoned, just blackened and crispy enough with a small pinch of spice. Grits were large and creamy, dense and substantial to hold the shrimp. Biscuits were to die for! Husband had the "El Cubano" breakfast sandwich. More than meets the eye! Upon seeing the package for the sandwich, it held more sandwich than imagined! We assumed a half sandwich panini/Cuban style sandwich, but the order came whole! And for a great price! Incredibly rich flavors, moist and complemented the breakfast angle perfectly. Had we found this sooner, we would've eaten here every day. Coffee was strong and aromatic. A great cup any time of the day. Literally everything on the menu looked and smelled amazing. This is the best hidden little cafe by the waterfront. They change up their specials all the time and I usually always go with the special, because it never disappoints--and you don't know when you'll ever be able to get it again. My boyfriend and I love this place and always make a point to stop in for lunch. They have a high top table area you can sit and do some people watching, while taking a break from the craziness of Duval. We came here after a local suggested we go if we liked fresh seafood and tacos (who doesn't??). So we'll start with the good: the food was delicious. I got the lobster tacos (didn't expect them to be fried but that's okay), and a side of fries which were fresh. My boyfriend got and steak and egg sandwich which was also very large and delicious. The service was pretty fast, and the cooks were nice. The bad: the guy taking our order was a jerk. He was so preoccupied which whatever he was doing on the iPad that he got our order wrong a couple times because he wouldn't just look up and listen. He glared at us when we asked what was on a couple of the menu items, and just handed us a menu and went back to the iPad. I got the lobster tacos with sweet potato fries (11.95) and my boyfriend got the triple-decker club with mac and cheese (9.95). To be totally honest, I was a little disappointed with the tacos. The lobster was a bit tough, and there just wasn't a whole lot of flavor. However, they were large and had a good amount of lobster on them. The sweet potato fries were amazing though, cooked to perfection and perfectly crispy. My boyfriends sandwich was also really good; they definitely don't skimp on the toppings!
