First time here but I can already tell this place will be my new favorite place to buy seafood. The place is so clean and well organized, and best of all does not smell like a fish Market;) Everything I saw was very fresh, Salmon, Sushi grade Tuna, Clams, Oysters, Bass, Shrimp a great variety. I purchased a live Lobster, some Mayport Shrimp, Snapper and some Dungeness Crab. Claire was very helpful and patient while I decided what I wanted. Go check them out!! read more

10/10 recommend this place. They had a wide variety of fresh fish. I came today looking for Tuna so I could make an Asian inspired tuna dish. I was shocked to see how big the tuna steaks were. They were so big I ended up only needing one which easily fed me and one other. I was so blown away at this hidden fish market gem that I think I'm going to go back later this week and make another seafood dish. The prices here are also very fair considering everything is so fresh. Lastly they don't only sell fish, they also sell seasonings and marinade sauces, I bought some, I had bought their teriyaki to marinade my tuna in and it was flawless . read more

The seafood is great, a little overpriced though. The reason for the low score is the store's staff, they are rude and obnoxious. I have purchased seafood from this location several times and I have always feel annoyed and irritated with their lack of professionalism. They always seems unhappy to answer questions and always have the nastiest of attitudes towards customers. I've been a professional chef for almost 20 years and I know my seafood in and out. However, trying to explain to a high school dropout that I need 20 lb of sushi grade tuna is pretty annoying. Trust me, if I had a better choice I would not buy from these morons. Update: If you looking for sushi grade fish, look no further. Just ask for the manager, she's very knowledgeable and knows exactly what the term sushi-grade means. read more

Recommended by a friend ~the seafood appeared to be very fresh and the market was well stocked and clean. I bought the snapper, flounder and Sea Scallops. Also, they had Marlin, Halibut, Rainbow trout, swordfish, very large live Lobster in tanks as well as frozen lobster tails, Oysters, lump crab, crab legs and whole crab. I highly recommend this Market and the prices were competitive for the area. The young man assisting us was pleasant and knowledgeable. The Scallops were sweet, the flounder and snapper was excellent (prepared myself). I will continue to get my seafood here whenever possible. Hands down--best quality, freshest seafood at the best price!! They have a large selection of fish and shellfish. They have their own staff that goes out to procure the seafood and deliver it directly to the store. My parents say there is even a bigger selection at the Mandarin location, but I cannot speak to that (at least not yet). The prices are hands down better than anything you will find at Publix or at the seafood places in Jax Beach. They had grouper for 10.99 a pound! It is 16.99 a pound at other fish markets. I can assure you Fisherman Dock's grouper is fresher! read more

I love these guys. Been going there for past 9 years and the quality is nothing if not consistent. I feel like I gained IQ points when I realized I could call ahead and they would peel my shrimp for me for a little extra per pound. I've been going here for about 15 years. They have great quality seafood and now I expect it. The prices are moderate, considering the fuel costs and everything else it takes to keep the lights on. The catch of the day works good, read the sign. I like the grouper, flounder, Mayport shirmp, scallops, oysters during season and trigger when available. What can I say about this place that others haven't already? Superior customer service, excellent selection of fresh seafood. I always call ahead and reserve orders when I know it's going to be a busy weekend, or an event weekend, big games etc.. They are always more than accommodating to me. My husband and I lived in Pensacola for a little over a year and had stopped at Joe Patti's seafood market a million times (even before we moved there, just on vacation). My dad begged us to grab him Joe Pat's oysters every time we came home to KY. Now that we've moved to Jax, we thought he'd be disappointed in the lack of a massive fish market here, but Fisherman's Dock has him covered. After years of loving Joe Pat's, he's told me many times during his visit this week that the oysters he's bought here at Fisherman's Dock were so much better. I won't eat them, but he's told me they were so much fresher, cleaner, etc. than he's ever bought elsewhere, with the exception of "salts" in Chincoteague, VA. He's not a Yelper but asked me to post a 5-star review for him- he's been thrilled with their seafood and the price. read more

I shopped at the Mandarin store for over 10 yrs because I lived nearby & passed it on the way home everyday. Moved to OP in 2007 feeling bummed at leaving some of my favorites places behind; most especially FD because it was right on the way home - easy in, easy out and LOTS of Friday seafood fests with fresh, amazing, tasty seafood of all kinds! Can you just imagine how I felt when I saw the one on Park in OP? It is a repeat of my other one. It's right on the way home- easy in, easy out and LOTS of Friday seafood fests; again amazing variety, fresh, tasty food and the same high professional, friendly type staff. Someone up there is taking good care of me since I have very challenging digestive issues and fish/seafood products are almost always good for me. Since I found Fishermans Dock I haven't shopped anywhere else for fresh seafood and don't plan to do so. You are the best! read more

Don't go there on a Saturday if you're expecting any kind of real help, I was going to get $300 worth of snow crab legs but they decided to make me fend for myself no box no nothing to put all these probably 50 legs In. What kind of business is this that doesn't accommodate the customer. I'm guessing after I Think about it that it's the kids they have working there aren't much for customer support our appreciation. The price is not great. After buying the grouper and taking away the skin and scale, it weighs about 40% less. Also the scales were not removed and it was very tough to get it off. Furthermore the texture of the fish was very rubbery and was hard to eat. Don't go there! read more
