Awesome little bagel spot in Fishhawk! They do one thing and do it well! Fresh baked and tasty bagels served fresh daily. I got the Everything bagel which came fresh out of the over it was still warm! Added chive cream cheese which was excellent, real pieces of chives in it you can tell it was handmade. It had a whipped type consistency which was perfect. Looks like they offer some basic coffee and lattes here too which I'll give a try on my next go around. I am regretting that it took me almost a year to come here, but now that I know about it I'll have to make it a weekly routine. Nothing like a fresh bagel and cream cheese! read more

First of all, Patrice F is soooo right: the pistachio muffin is amazing, incredible, absolutely life affirming. It completely reset me after bad traffic and a long day with a particularly annoying coworker. It looks good, it smells good and it tastes oh-so-good. I would drive that coworker through traffic to get one. That's how good it is. And I'm not even a huge baked goods kinda gal! This begins a new era for me. I knew I was on the right track when the clerk immediately celebrated my choice when ordering. (Again-I owe it all to you, Patrice F. Thank you!) I ordered the muffin to go and chose a toasted salt bagel with butter to eat in. It was good too-just the right crunch on just the right chew. I like that it looked sort of rustic-and it wasn't too salty. It was pretty big, too. This is a nice addition to my bagel routine. They serve other baked goods, too... and lots of coffee drinks. The morning sun shining in the east-facing windows is so cheery and the staff is really pleasant and friendly. It's very clean with lots of tables. Prices are fair. There's a nod to NYC in the decor but I'm guessing the owners are local. I'm so excited Yelp led me here! I can't to go back! read more

This place has amazing and authentic New York style bagels! As a former NJ/NY girly who moved to Tampa, its been hard finding an authentic bagel that has the taste, chew and consistency of a true NY bagel. This place hits the spot! Fishhawk bagels is always a win for us! I have never had a place that makes their bacon egg and cheese bagels with the bacon cooked into the bagel and it's super delicious. The staff is always nice but the service can be slightly slower because everything is made fresh on site. The drive thru can get quite long and often I find myself going inside to order take away. The inside is nothing crazy just a nice little mom and pop joint. Highly recommend the bacon, egg and cheese with their chive cream cheese. It's delicious. read more

Another former New Yorker over here reviewing! Really solid bagel spot - much better than most in the area, especially the chains. Very friendly staff and plenty of menu options that will check the boxes for your bagel needs. I tried a BEC on a garlic bagel and it was very delicious. The bagel itself was on the small side, but they did not skimp on ingredients. Not the same doughy, heavy thick bagel that you can get up north but worth a trip to enjoy something close! read more

I walked into this establishment. I wasn't sure that they were still there. I know they've been in business for quite a while and made it through Covid but I have yet to try an actual bagel. I visited FishHawk Bagels this morning and to say it was underwhelming is an understatement. First of all, when you walk in the door they don't even have their bagels displayed in the case which I find rather suspicious. Compared to other bagel stores there was no aroma whatsoever. We purchased three breakfast sandwiches to go, (bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel) and it was more than $20! The flavor was lackluster and comparable to Lenders (very well could have been) that you buy at the local supermarket. Overall I do not recommend, overpriced for substandard product. I was so happy when I found this spot--their bacon, egg, and cheese on a toasted bagel instantly took me back to NYC. And the café con leche? Hands down the best I've had in Florida. I live in Riverview and regularly make the drive just for that! That said, I stopped by today and was a bit disappointed--the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich wasn't quite the same. I almost feel bad leaving three stars because the bagels were up to par it's the egg that left me hanging. Hidden gem bagel shop, I've been coming here for little over a year and I've never been disappointed with the food or customer s . Bacon, egg, American cheese, Jalapeño cream cheese on an everything bagel has consistently kept me coming back for more. I would also note that they make almond raspberry "biscuit cookies" for lack of a better term and they are to die for if you can get your hands on them. The only reason it's a 4/5 is the wait times and issues with understaffing, many times I've experienced long lines or wait times due to the volume of orders they have coming from the front of house and drive through however the food makes it worth the wait. read more

Only complaint is that the bagels come anywhere from stuffed thick with cream cheese to sometimes barely any at all to the point you're practically served a plain empty bagel. This shop is not a franchise, but owned and operated by a dedicated couple who rise well before the crack of dawn to create variations of bagels, cheese spreads, and bagel sandwiches to order. We have enjoyed going to the shop well before Fishhawk Blvd was widened. During the construction project the owners persevered despite the disruption to the many businesses along the road. We especially enjoy the toasted "Basil Tomato Melt" loaded with melted cheese and a huge tomato sprinkled with basil on an "everything bagel."
