I had a taste for Chinese, so I ordered sweet & sour chicken, white rice, and a small wonton soup via delivery. The sweet & sour chicken was probably the best I've ever tasted. The chicken was tender and the flavor of the sauce was perfection. The portion was huge, too. My delivery arrived piping hot. The wonton soup was also delicious. A small is enough for two people. In addition to wontons, the soup contained pieces of beef, cabbage, broccoli, and more. I would have liked the broth to be more flavorful, but it was still good. We had dinner here tonight and it was so good. We had been here once before when Yelp was featuring Asian-owned business. We lived it so much that we had to return. This is a family run business and they are so kind. We placed our order at the front register with the daughter of the owner. She greeted us with a smile and was so sweet. I ordered the BBQ chicken plate and picked the mac salad and fried rice for my two sides. I also ordered a side of mac salad to take home for tomorrow, because it's so good. My husband ordered the Kung Pao Chicken with steamed rice. He also ordered the fresh watermelon juice that they make fresh. We found a table right by their big screen TV so we could watch Panama vs. Ghana play in the World Cup. They have plenty of seating inside. All the tables were clean and spotless. Our food was delivered to our table quickly. My chicken was so moist and delicious. I love the marinade they use for it. The fried rice and mac salad were delicious. My husband loved the Kung Pao Chicken and enjoyed his refreshing watermelon juice. He said the spice level on the Kung Pao Chicken was a medium spice, which he liked. Came with friends who were here for the yelp community event and bought a plate for myself - we came around 6pm on a Friday and there was a decent amount of people there as well. Service was friendly and quick, and they helped answer our questions about the menu, which seems to have both chinese takeout and hawaiian bbq options. The inside is simple with a few tables and chairs and is relatively roomy. I got the mini chicken katsu with 2 sides - I chose white rice and mac salad but really should've opted for a veggie of some sort since I got a little carbed out The chicken katsu was perfectly juicy and tender inside with a nice crispy breading that wasn't too oily, and despite being "mini" had a very generous amount of meat and the sides were pretty large scoops too - this service was definitely more than enough to be a filling dinner for me. I ordered two different lo-carb specials, so my review is based on only those two items. Nothing was overcooked, and there were no burn marks. The marinade for the beef initially didn't taste that sweet but after a few bites, I thought it was rather sweet, more than my preference. The chicken (thigh meat) was ok, not tough but I wouldn't say it was tender either. The short rib marinade tasted mostly like soy sauce, and was ok. The scrambled egg for one of the specials was more like an omelette, and the over medium egg for the other special turned out ok, but did cook a bit more in the food carton as I couldn't eat it right away. (I had ordered both to-go.) Overall I think the Hawaiian BBQ items are prepared well, even if they taste sweeter than what I would prefer. After a short wait of maybe 10 minutes, I was gifted a massive clam-shell container stuffed with 3 golden panko-fried prawns, a massive piece of lightly battered fried fish, multiple slabs of grilled chicken thighs atop mountains of fried rice and chow mein, plus shredded green cabbage to round out the plate. Everything was savory and fresh, though the star was that BBQ chicken, which was fork-tender and deeply flavored with soy and ginger. The chow mein had that nice wok cooked taste and I didn't find it greasy like some other places. The broth is the star of the wonton soup. I ordered the chicken katsu plate with rice and broccoli. Unfortunately, it was pretty plain and nothing really stood out flavor-wise. It definitely needed sauce to bring it to life. The real star of my meal was the freshly squeezed orange juice. It tasted fresh and delicious, and I appreciated that it was made to order and had no added items. One thing I did notice, though, was some back-and-forth between front and kitchen duties that was not ideal from a food handling perspective. The girl helping at the register was also assisting in the back and even finished juicing the oranges for my drink, but I did not notice hand washing in between. Through the swinging kitchen door, I also saw chicken being transferred around without gloves by the same young man who had been handling the juice earlier. To be fair, I know restaurant kitchens are busy places and I'm sure worse things happen, but it was just something I happened to notice since I had a clear view from my table. Mixed reviews here - some items were really tasty while others not much so. First the pluses: First rate were the Hawaiian BBQ Short Ribs - nice and juicy, tender and flavorful. The Kalua Pork was smokey and flavorful, while not being with the cabbage being crunchy and not limp. It is nice that my dish was customizable with a choice of two sides from more than six options (such as regular white rice, brown rice, fresh vegetables, etc. For the minuses, this was the first time I had a Lau Lau, which pork chuck wrapped in a taro leaf and steamed. The ingredients were listed as smoke roasted pork with Ti leaf, banana and sea salt. However, I found the taro leaf a bit shredded which may have affected the steaming process. The meat was very dry, and it had a distinct plastic-y taste. Disappointing. The different musubi were inconsistent. The spam musubi was delicious, while the Hawaiian BBQ Chicken was dry, as well as the chicken katsu. Finally, the fried fish, though cooked nicely with a crunchy crust, had a bland flavor. Being eco-conscious, I am disappointed that they used clear plastic containers instead of environmentally friendly options, such as biodegradable containers. But, I do understand the restaurant trying to keep costs to the consumer down. Overall, my rating is average. Is it fair to compare this with actual food I had in Hawaii? Maybe, maybe not, but quality consistency is important. For this place to receive a five-star rating, they will need to up their game. read more

It is extremely clean, including the restroom. There are so many Hawaiian BBQ places so I really wasn't expecting much. We ordered BBQ chicken and a short rib/shrimp combo. They came with fried rice, macaroni salad, and steamed broccoli. I also ordered the lumpia (vegetable egg rolls). They also have a great selection of Chinese food and desserts. They have a huge selection of beverages such as Hawaiian Sun and my favorite-Mango Smoothie. So how was everything? Really Good, well prepared meals. The four items that really stood out was the broccoli, macaroni salad, chicken, and the fried rice. Always great service every time we order from Be Wok & Hawaiian BBQ. Our order is made quickly and we haven't had anything that wasn't tasty. It's a casual restaurant with friendly employees. The Hawaiian food is delicious, and we love that there are so many side options (like the chow mein, though we wish you could select those options when ordering online). The Chinese menu is always a favorite, too. Wonderful place with nice people and delicious food! Had lunch here today and it was delicious! I ordered the combo plate that comes with two big pieces of fish, 3 shrimp and a mess of chicken katsu.
