This place is a scam and the facilities are disgusting. They just charge and charge and charge a bunch of hidden fees and I'm so sad that I ever signed up once they have you there's no getting out without paying another large unnecessary fee. The gym was always leaking from the ceiling and the equipment not ever seemingly properly cleaned. I wish I could give less stars because this place is just low quality cheap and I'm not trying to get any skin infections or anything so I just never went back and still was charged a bunch of money. The staff at this gym is very friendly and helpful. The manager Peter is knowledgeable, approachable, and overall very helpful when you need him. I've seen many improvements to the gym since Peter's been there. I enjoy getting my works outs in there. The only time I get a bit frustrated is when there are groups of teens (literally 4-5) working on one machine or taking up a huge space. They're on their phones, taking 10 minutes rests in between sets. That's the worse. The gym could use a couple more staple pieces as well. They recently added a second squat rack and that was awesome. The leg machines are frequently occupied, adding another piece for legs would be helpful. There is also a shortage of benches. I know the Camarillo location has these black and red plastic benches, I feel like that's the least that can be added to our Oxnard location. read more

I love working out at this gym and recommend it to anyone, regardless of your fitness goals or experience with working out! This gym has a good selection of classes. My favorites are the Zumba classes, especially the ones taught by Jesse, Liz, and Adriana! I also used to take Diana's class and she's good too. The Zumba classes are so much fun and my favorite way to knock out cardio. I appreciate the variety of instructors that this gym has because each has their own personal style. Veronica's yoga class is great. I have heard good things about a lot of the other classes too. This gym also has a good variety of equipment if you're into strength training! I especially enjoy the new equipment that was recently purchased. This gym is stocked with probably everything you'll need for your workout. The gym is clean and doesn't smell. I always see the entire gym and bathrooms being cleaned. I also like that they have disposable alcohol wipes around the gym instead of rags or paper towels and spray bottles like other gyms. The manager Peter does an excellent job managing this gym, and he handles everything at lightning speed. He and the employees at this gym are really friendly, nice, helpful, and provide outstanding customer service. They all make this gym a comfortable and welcoming place to work out. They also have great taste in music lol. Additionally, they have held some fun events which I know the members really enjoyed and appreciated. The trainers that I run into are really nice and friendly. The other members are also nice, polite, and respectful. It's a good crowd. We signed upfor 1 year contract in Aug 2023. We were not going to renew for another year due to financial hardship. Our membership expired Sept 6, so on July 19 I went to their office. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A clerk received my letter of notice. He refused to sign his name on the paper that he received it. He said he will take care of it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I forgot to ask his name. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He did not make me sign a termination paper which I did not know I have to back then.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So come Sept 6, when I checked my credit card, they were going to charge me and my husband $100 for the renewal because the manager said we did not give a 1 month's notice. They ripped us off with $100.00. We could have bought food for 1 week with that money. I've been a member since March of this year. I am loving the training classes with Christina and Mayra. It would be great if their was more booty boot camp classes with Christina in the afternoons at-least another day for the afternoon. I am only able to make it to her Tuesday afternoon class and the majority of the rest of the classes are in the morning. A lot of us work in the day so afternoon classes are the only option. Over all Christina does a great job in targeting that booty! If their was more afternoon classes I would make sure to not miss any of Hers! read more

Every single staff member treats you like a genuine friend but Peter the manager goes above and beyond to know your story and why you started working out and that left a big impact on me. I've been a member at this gym for 6 years and before Covid, I was a personal trainer at this location. Overall this gym is great to get a workout in (depending on the time of day). I really enjoy the classes at this location. I don't attend any Zumba classes because my schedule doesn't allow but from other members' feedback, Jesse and Adriana's classes are really good. I'll have to find some time to make it to them. I personally enjoy the boot camp classes. Being a personal trainer, I have learned a lot about fitness, including leading group classes. In my opinion Chris, Christina, Juan, Joel and Mayra lead great group classes. I especially enjoy Christina's glute focused class on Fridays. It's a low impact class, and she knows how to hit that sweet spot fast so you're sweating right away! I judge a class based on how sore I am afterwards( good sore) and I have to say after Christina's class, I can barely walk. I hope she gets to teach more classes at this location, I'm confident other members would enjoy them as much as I do. Moreover, Chris, is an expert in functionality and stretching. If you are sore after working out, he's your guy to help you stretch your muscles out. I also enjoy Juan's and Mayra's muscle strength focused class and Joel's cardio based classes are always a HIIT ( see what I did there). All in all this location is a great gym with great classes. And they recently expanded which was much needed because us members were outgrowing the place. read more

Look, the gym is nice for $10 a month, but when I wanted to end my membership, I was SCAMMED by Fitness 19. They asked me to pay the ANNUL FEE ($40) for the FOLLOWING year even though I was ending the membership! Why is that? Only for that reason, in the future, I won't join this gym again, and if you can, I would highly recommend you to look for better alternative. Fitness 19 Oxnard deserves an updated review from this Yelp elite! I absolutely appreciate the COVID 19 guidelines they have in place. The manager Angelica "Angie", is doing an amazing job making sure employees and members follow the rules and guidelines. The gym is clean and always stocked with wipes and cleaning supplies. They make sure the weights are always re-racked and they go around cleaning machines and weighs often. When the machines breakdown they are quickly fixed as well. All equipment is in great condition and the workout room is spacious and well maintained. The bathroom is always clean and well stocked. Angie is amazing at communicating with her team and members. The whole tram has excellent customer service and I can honestly say Angie truly care about us members! Whenever there is an issue, Angie addresses it professionally and efficiently. I truly appreciate how all staff at the gym are there doing their job and not just socializing among themselves! As soon as you walk in you get greeted with a warm hello and a friendly goodbye on your way out! Classes are great too! Zumba and boot camp are both phenomenal classes. They have great personal trainers who are absolutely knowledgeable and passionate. Membership prices are very low compared to the value you are getting for being a member. Good little gym! Sometimes you will get greeted other times you don't. Nastia has been basically the only one who has been able to help. There has been two ocassions I have asked regards to my membership and staff has no idea how to help and I have been placed to expect a response from management when it is simply a question about my club account (items such a retail or personal training charges). Some say a manager must approve alot of these changes but honestly anyone can just depends if they want to help or not. There are some good instructors for classes depends your liking of taste.Frank teaches great classes he is one I highly recommend. Jessie by far has that mix of reggaeton and some english for those who don't just like spanish. Classes you do have to register online by the way. Location still has some odor to it, like sewer but you adapt eventually. Personal training available I used to train here and it was great downside there can be a few times each month for rescheduling or no shows from trainers and you will be placed last minute with another for that one session. Sometimes, it's best to keep one trainer only. This has been an issue for years so not just recently. Fitness 19 is a good company but maybe investing in giving members a better location in just the past years it went without an aerobics room due to some underlying issues and members did go without classes or aerobics room for around 5 months and then recently bathrooms broke down which they constantly did and had porter potties literally outside in front of the entrance doors and that took nearly 2-3 months. Aside from all pricing is low you will expect an annual fee within 3 months once you sign up and it is contract based but monthly options are available. If you defenitely want a starter gym and a place where you don't feel intimidated this is your to go to place! I've been to many gyms and had many memberships, but I think this location specifically has some joie de vivre. I walked in for the first time just before Thanksgiving - I knew I would need help getting through the holiday season, and asked Rudy for a trainer that could get me back into shape. That's when I heard him call, "Mo! This girl wants a trainer that can kick her butt - think you can do it?" He shook my hand and promised me he would get me to the goal I was seeking. After the last three months, I'm stronger and able to lift heavier; I have rebooted my old spark and love for endorphins / running; I've lost body fat and feel happier in general. 'Mo' is probably the most caring, involved & motivational trainer I've ever had. He keeps me accountable, pushes me when I need a challenge, and kicks my butt 3 times a week. #TME read more

There are many cardio machines to include stairmasters ,bicycle machines, and treadmills of course. Many classes available if that is your thing, multiple trainers and always eager to help clients. My personal opinion the gym is just right but as more members join it would be awesome if they can do another expansion, or maybe relocate to a bigger commercial space. Just some food for thought.
