Decent gym. They do very well with keeping it clean. There's a housekeeper there around the clock it seems. It's very small & there's no amenities like a sauna. If you come during the peak hours it will feel like you're working out on top of each other. The women's center downstairs is a bit of a mess. There's just random weights in there and sometimes none at all and all the weights are upstairs. So if you want to work out you'll have to grab some from upstairs.. especially the heavier weights. read more

Seat warmers and cell phone browsing while occupying exercise equipment is a growing problem for serious members who only want to do their workout routine. I have observed some people seated for over one hour only occasionally looking up from their phone screens to do a few exercises motions. This can be frustrating and only adds to a bad experience. In town for some biz & wanted to get a good pump in so I came to fitness connection. It's quite a large gym with two levels & I only spoke with 1 employee at the front desk & she was cool. It all looked pretty clean & organized but I only saw two showers in the locker room & no sauna or steam room. I've been trying to cancel my membership as I am unable to get to that location. I finally got in contact with some but it was after the 15th and I got charge $54 dollars and because I cancelled my membership they are gonna charge me another month of membership. I am literally moving out of state this weekend. so yay another month being charged and I won't be able to use the gym. and it's unrefundable. This location is so small and it's overcrowded in the evenings so I decided to come in the mornings when they open at 5. It's now 5:30 and the gym still has not opened. 1 HOUR LATER... The gym is unacceptable. The air conditioning continues not to be on or inoperable in the morning. The lighting outside continues to be dark. The homeless people panhandling and taking up residency has become a nuisance and the poorly maintained machines and gym continue to get worse. Inoperable and poorly maintained equipment, poorly cleaned and holes in the walls make for such a classy place. The problem is truly ineffective management and those reaping the profits and not reinvesting in the gym. If sucking is the goal of Fitness Connection they would be rated 5 of 5. There is no one enforcing rules or quality on the actual gym floor. Everyone does as they please such as: recording all others without their consent , gym bags on the floor , holding machines that aren't being used , throwing weights in a dangerous manner, men's restroom is disgusting to walk into with the horrible smell and members illegally taking pictures and video inside the restroom. read more

Visiting from out of town and wanted to get a lift in. I've been to several gyms in quite a few states and this one is the worst I've been to. It has all the equipment you need, but it's rusted and not well kept at all. It's also $20 for a day pass. Not worth it unless you're really itching to get a workout in. read more

Nice place to work out ,plus it's cool bc 24hour gym!!! This gym is awesome place to workout at. The staff is very professional with their customers! Very helpful & attentive & from the moment you walk in the door they greet you with a smile & kindness.. I love the Cycling Classes, Zumba here but they have a all women's area that is pretty awesome!!! If you want more change to your regimen go check the other Fitness Connection''s they have basketball, pool!!! I like basketball & it's a good workout!!! I give this a low rating because the staff tends to get "personal" with significant others. I like the fact that it's 24 hrs. The staff isn't too welcoming either. When I still had my membership, I loved the women's area as the weights area was always way too crowded. They also have a nice kids club. I like that I could watch my children on the monitor in the kids club from them women's area. That's where the star comes from. I recently had to cancel my membership. I have 3 biological children and 2 other children that I have custody of. I work at a school so the two who go to my campus come with me daily on weekdays (1 biological and 1 not) and sometimes my 1 year old daughter who I like to ge out of the house as her and the 3 year old are usually with the nanny. One day I decide to bring 4 of the kids. I rarely bring the 3 year old but she's been. She is mixed race. The two kids club attendants who are the same ones who've always been there start whispering in Spanish and began to question me about the 3 year old. I informed them that I have custody of her. They call downstairs and then tell me I have to leave if I don't have documentation. I go downstairs to talk to the manager. She says the same thing. I ask them is it practice to #1 question people about their children and #2 provide documentation on every kid that comes to the kids club. She tells me yes. I tell her I know that is not the case because I've never provided documentation on my own biological children and I have never been asked. Keep in mind I have already been bringing these children for a year. For her to blatantly lie in my face and not even let me complete my workout for the day and say, "You know what, you've been bringing these children just bring documentation tomorrow." It was handled very poorly. I cancelled my membership the same day. I could have provided documentation but I don't feel like I should have had to. I know for a fact that people aren't questioned that way. The only thing I can think of is that the child is mixed race and looks differently from the other children. But again. She's already been there with me before. Not to mention her sister has been at the gym with me daily. UPDATE: after reading reply.. again I'll add. I asked Several members that I know personally as well as making a post on my neighborhood page. Not a single person has ever been questioned or asked to provide documentation. If this was asked of me at sign up like other gyms, no problem. The issue is not with the policy itself but of lack of equitable enforcement and random questioning. The way it's set you you can single out or question any parent at any time without provocation which opens the door for discrimination. read more

Good size gym..I'm enrolled in a gym back home but joined fitness connection because my husband was going to be working here for the next yr so i would be coming often to visit , only downside is no tanning beds in this one but other than that staff friendly and enough machines to get lots of workouts done. read more

So, I'm two weeks into my #getfitdietrying regime. Yesterday at work I mentioned it to one of my friends, who is also a coworker of mine. Keep in mind my friend is very physically fit and I am over weight. He decided he was going to join me and Katie Sanchez Dwoll Dyuh today. We all worked out together had fun, broke a sweat, laughed, and someone us cried. Lol. Well, while we were working out we got approached by two Fitness Connection Trainers, they tried to pull my fit friend to the side, and told him he can't "train" me. He was not training me. We were working out together.They made a big ordeal about the situation and told the manager. We told the two trainers that we were just friends working out together, and I wasn't paying him. Next thing we know the manager comes walking in hollering, "hey big guy" to my friend. He took him into his office where he then threatened him, saying that he doesn't stop "training me" his membership would be cancelled. When my friend asked him what is considered training the manager arrogantly responded with, "What I say so is". What kind of crap is that? I feel like that was so unprofessonal. My friend has never been approached before. He has worked out with his fit friends before with no problems. I feel discriminated against, because I'm fat and he is so fit. They made accusations and threats, because of their sad preconceptions. I could not believe it. I thought gyms were built to promote health and well-being. This location is deceptively big. It may not look like much from the outside since it's part of a plaza, but when you walk in, you'll realize how big it is. There are 2 levels to exercise on. The first floor has the threadmills/ellipticals while the second has the weights which is perfect for my needs. The only downside I see maybe is that there are no basketball court or swimming pool like some of the other FC locations, but I don't really care for that. They also have various classes throughout the day. My favorite is the cycling. It's a lot more difficult than it seems. You get a real workout. They also have an area to watch your kids while you're there. For $10/month, you can't really complain. read more

Best feature is that this gym is 24hrs so you don't have to worry about being.kicked.out being kicked out if you go late at night. The staff at the front always have smiles on and are very down to earth. The trainers are very helpful and will push you to help meet your goals. I tried the black friday membership. After an appointment with my physician I was informed of compressed discs, and nerve damage in my back. Until a regimen could be established my physician told me to avoid strenuous activity. I brought his letter to management as they requested in order to end my training contract (which I had never participated in yet) and gave them a copy. I was instructed to also cancel my membership online. Several weeks later I receive and email stating I owe 1/2 the total year's fee. When I informed them that I had provided medical paperwork to them for my termination I received a different email from Affiliated Acceptance Corporation with they full yearly amount due. Anyone know of any legal counsel that has dealt with these troglodytes before? I would appreciate it. Thanks. read more

I started my membership back in June and should have known from the start it was a mistake...the sales person kept trying to charge me more than the advertised price took a while but finally got that worked out. Used the membership ONCE because my son wasn't happy with the daycare, he criedaboutnot wanting to go back (he's 5). I went out of town for a month came back and tied to cancel my membership. I didn't get charged in August and didnt think much of it since I had called to cancel. I got charged in September for 10.77, called the club again to cancel was told they would take care of it immediately and not to worry. But here we are I just got charged 42.70. When I called the club the manager was rude and unhelpful told me I should have sent a letter but if I came in they could cancel via online service but too bad about my money, I tried to explain I have canceled several times but she hung up on me. Now I have been on phone with Custer service for 20 minutes and no one answers phone, guess I will contact the BBB too. Do not use this gym! I regret it. Olive on social security and 42 is alot for me and it messed up my whole budget and they don't care! After waiting a long time someone finally got on the phone and get this they said we don't care it's your responsibility to make sure the cancel request goes thru, then she hung up on me without canceling my membership again!!! DO NOT USE THIS GYM. Their customer service is awful. The gym is always crowded and it's difficult to find free-weights and machines. There are a lot of young adults that don't know how to use the weights. While canceling my membership I was belittled by people in their call-center.
