Despite this, they continue to charge my bank account. I followed the proper steps, spoke to staff face-to-face, and was told it would be handled. It clearly was not. I ultimately had to contact my bank and block the payments, which should never be necessary after canceling correctly. This feels careless at best and dishonest at worst. I would not recommend this gym unless you're prepared to monitor your bank account closely.

All of these bad reviews are about the old trainers and management, and I can assure you this is the right place for you if you want to see real results while meeting great people and working with a kick-ass trainer. I used to be embarrassed to go to the gym because most trainers or members made me feel self-conscious, sometimes not even purposefully. This is a great powerlifting gym in the Pasadena area! It's in a warehouse area towards the back so…read morethere's plenty of space here with lots of room for parking. The main entrance room has fridges stocked up with macro-friendly meals and snacks as well as energy drinks, protein shakes, etc. They also have Iron Sight merch that you can purchase. Right when you walk in (and even from outside), you can hear the music. Even with noise cancellation, you can still hear the gym's music so if that's not your thing, this gym might not be for you- it's all rap and latin music so at least it's not like a Planet Fitness playlist lol. This gym is very spacious (8400 sqft). There's a powerlifting side with lots of combo racks and 5 (I think) deadlift platforms. There's plenty of bars (TSS, OHP, etc) with all the kilo weights. Even when the gym is at its busiest, I never had to wait that long to get a rack. There's also a bodybuilding side where there's plenty of machines and dumbbells to workout with. And in the far corner, you have cardio machines and turf space to warm up. As for amenities, there are only two bathrooms and the only light source inside is a LED strip light (dark green). Personally, I like brighter bathrooms so I can check up on myself in the mirror before stepping back in the gym. I also wish there was an extra table or space to put my clothes down for when I change. But in one of the bathrooms, they have extra deodorant and perfume which is going to come in real handy because this gym does not have AC and the summers in Houston are brutal. The only places where this gym has AC is the main entrance room and the posing room (yay for posing room)! In terms of pricing, the initiation fee is expensive ($100) but the monthly membership is $65 and they offer discounts to students and first responders which is nice. In terms of the gym itself, I would give it a 4/5 but the workers and owner are 5/5! The staff here are all extremely friendly and always make you feel so welcome. Not to mention, everyone who works out here is always more than happy to spot/support you! I doubt that will happen as they are telling us, we have the part odered but we can't tell you when its coming in.......... yeah right. Thats new managements way of stalling on the fix, not wanting to spend the money just like they did in November when it broke. Most frustrating. The only reason I'm still a member is because its only 5 minutes from my house and my office but GD they sure make it tough to stay. This is Houston, 5th largest city in the nation and you cant get a part to fix a steam room, makes no sense. Think twice before joining.
