We came with a group of 9 which we called ahead and made reservations for. They would not sit us together until we explicitly requested it. Service was slow, and when the food came, the steaks our table ordered were undersized and served over well done on a medium rare order. We sent them back and the steaks we got in return were also overcooked. Their "shrimp scampi" was served with no noodles and their "Mac and cheese" looked like buttered noodles. You're better off grilling at home.

Cozy holiday atmosphere tonight. Christmas music and and a jolly festive holiday atmosphere to celebrate the holiday season.

This place was on the side of a lake, as the name says. In warm weather it is fun to have dinner outside. I was there on a Saturday evening. There was a 30 minute wait to get a seat. Prime rib au jus, which was the Saturday special was my favorite item. Beer battered fish sandwich was my other item. It was good as well. Chili soup was flavorful. Kids chicken strip was very nice.

Fish tacos, great flavor, absolutely loved the chilli lime sauce

This is a great little weekend spot, you can literally drive there, spend a few hours and when you get home you feel like you've been on a getaway! The food is solid and they had a very delicious rum punch at only $8 a glass it packed a punch, Fitz is a hidden gem.

Great waterfront location for a meal, happy hour or just hanging out with friends and family. You can even boat up to their dock. Plenty of seating both inside and out. We stopped by for a late lunch/early dinner to celebrate my brother's birthday. YELP ELITE TIP: They served us the all-u-can-eat fish fry dinner early for $5 off of the menu price. I liked having the option for 1/2 fried fish and 1/2 baked. Both were good but I wished they offered perch or walleye in addition to the haddock. My brother enjoyed his bloody Mary too. It was right-sized without an outrageous number of add-ons (the beer chaser was there tho).

This may not be a lot it's because I already eaten it but it was delicious and I love the taste and everything

I love going for the salad bar. My husband gets the fish fry on Fridays, but I enjoy the herring.

The Saturday special: baked tilapia in a bed of risotto and zucchini was delightful. The service was excellent. The only downside was the A/C. The dining room felt extremely cold at 4pm. It was the first weekend they had their patio open to dining, so we naturally chose a spot outside -- in the shade, it was a bit much in the unabated sun. I thought we'd have a river view, but it was hidden behind some trees and a few cabins. Oh well. Still a nice outdoor spot away from the city. We were warned that there was a party of like 20 people coming in shortly to the patio, but we did not notice and interruption in our service as the gang flowed in. I will never love the ability to smoke cigarettes on an outdoor patio, so maybe I should have sat inside, but still worth being outside despite the occasional irritation. To each their own. Our server was great, and was very patient with our slow proces of ordering drinks, appetizers, and the meal in relatively spaced out time periods. The Old Fashioneds were great, without too much of the muddle and soda and more emphasis on the booze -- still a Wisconsin Old Fashioned, though! I enjoyed the cheese curds and was very intrigued by their potato and cheddar crusted cod. I usually get the fried cod during a Friday Fish Fry, but this sounded somehow elevated. Alas, I didn't find it to provide any extra or new flavors, and there was nothing crispy about it. The breading was more like a mooshy exterior that didn't do a ton for the fish. The fish was cooked nicely, but the very high price was very much not warranted. I can get crispier and lower priced cod closer to home, so just can't justify the trip for the fish fry. But then there was dessert. I'm always looking to recreate a favorite (late) childhood dessert that involved brandy infused ice cream. I always ask at a Friday Fish Fry if they can make a Brandy Alexander that's thick enough you need a spoon. They claimed this to be the case, and they did not disappoint. This was a delicious Brandy Alexander and definitely worth a trip back. So, while I wasn't crazy about my overpriced, non-crispy fish fry, I still enjoyed myself and enjoyed my food... I'm glad we came and tried it out, and if you're looking for a nice supper club spot, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Took a while to get seated, as the attendant seemed to be busy carrying out plates of food and making drinks at the end of the bar. After getting seated, we ordered drinks and three entrees (two specialty salads, a pasta meal, and a burger). The drinks came relatively fast, but the service on the food was incredibly slow. Well over an hour's wait. At one point I guessed, "They must be growing lettuce for the salad." Food arrived, but incorrectly prepared on one of the salads. The server offered "I specifically told them dressing on the side...I can bring it back and get it made over." We had already waited well over an hour, so we just took it as it was fearing an even longer delay. Actually, three of the meals were quite good (except for the overpriced and totally unremarkable burger), but I doubt any of us will return after the sluggish service. It was such a lengthy wait for the food and the server was so harried and overworked that ordering desserts was not offered. We had to get up and walk in search of a way to pay our bill. Good food, but that does not in itself make for a great dining experience.
