They buffalo and blue cheese sauce was actually pretty impressive. The po boy had a good amount of shrimp to bread ratio, with a nice sauce included. The gumbo had a deep rich flavor, but was not overly heavy with fatty meats. We were also informed of the happy hour oyster special, so we ended up getting a few of the rockerfella and raw. The rockerfella was amazing with melty cheese, a nice garlic flavor, & served with crispy bread slices. The raw came with crackers, lemon, wine vinegar, and a tasty cocktail sauce. Both were delicious. Marco, the manager came and spoke with us about our experience which really showed the attention to detail this restaurant offers. After sharing our story of visiting New Orleans a few years ago and bragging about the beignets, he brought us 2 out to finish our meal. I have to say, these were better than the ones I've had at cafe beignet in NOLA. They were HOT out the fryer to the point where the powdered sugar was slightly melted. Crisp outside dough but gooey soft in the center. A unreal experience to end a fantastic meal. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Luckily my sister lives 5 mins from this place but I would easily drive a hour or 2 when visiting from out of town just for this experience. My family and I then waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The ambiance is pretty cool and I like how the tables are spaced apart enough where you don't feel like you're part of someone else's group. The food was actually disappointing though. Deviled eggs were surprisingly flavorless and lacking in any identifiable seasoning. The menu stated they were garnished with caviar, however, it was maybe 2-3 actual pieces per egg. Disappointment would be a recurring sentiment throughout our meal. I had the shrimp and crawsfish etouffee and was ultimately disappointed. The flavor was strange and again, not identifiable seasoning-wise. Our kids enjoyed their food, so that was a positive note. The baby had pasta and green beans with pink lemonade and seemed to have really enjoyed his evening, taking in the atmosphere while enjoying his dinner. However, they do not have burgers on the kids menu and when we asked about it, our waitress initially said it shouldn't be a problem since they have sliders on their happy hour menu and they would probably be able to just do that. She disappeared to ask her manager and came back 45 seconds later with a resounding no, and that we could only get it and he charged for the burger off the entree menu. Ultimately, the only thing that really was positive was the atmosphere, but even that isn't enough to drive up to gardens for.

I brought my grandson a few…read moreSaturdays ago on a whim and we had the most delightful meal after a ridiculously stressful morning. Lisa Ann was our server and she was lovely. I ordered my long time staple, the American breakfast, and added a side of avocado because my grandson lives for eggs, bacon, and avocado. I knew I would be able to share my meal with him. The reality is my heart was set on the bread basket which is why I adore this meal so much. I also ordered a cappuccino with oat milk sprinkled with cinnamon and it was delightful. We dined inside because it was a bit warm out and I wasn't sure how he was going to respond to al fresco dining. From start to finish, we had a fantastic experience. Our food was delicious as well as my cappuccino and we had plenty to consume along with leftovers. Finally, Lisa was the ray of sunshine my soul needed that day. We were given an alcove near the water for a private table for 11. Upon arrival on the 26th we were told that the table wasn't ready yet and were told that we couldn't even see it to set some decorations my wife had brought. The hostess was very abrupt and dismissive. Eventually we were told that the original table was no longer available because another patron had "paid" for it. We all know what that means. Miss "self important" took a bribe. We were seated in the main dining room next to the bathroom. Oh boy real festive. Not even an apology from the hostess. From that point on, however, the staff really stepped up. The service was friendly and well paced. The food was excellent and well prepared. Our guests realized the seating issue and were able to overlook it to enjoy a nice evening with friends and family. I would like to think this was a one off rare occurrence, but past experience indicates it's not. Ownership should be aware of what is going on here.

The service was friendly, the food came out quickly, and the staff surprised her with a complimentary birthday dessert, which was a very nice touch. The outdoor tiki bar overlooking the Intracoastal is also worth checking out. Great atmosphere, great service, and a perfect spot for a celebration. We'll definitely be back!

The hummus in the dish seemed to be a bit watery, so I might do 1/2 hummus and 1/2 rice next time and see if that improves the consistency. Especially for leftovers.
