At Duane Reade cortisone cream will cost you 4 bucks. Here it's $1.29. A 6 pack of sponges is $1.99 vs. Gristedes where it's $6. Open 9am-9pm, you can get toiletries,cleaning supplies, housewares, food staples,candy, batteries, stationery, first aid supplies, small tools and hardware, gloves, hats, t-shirts, balloons and seasonal items (Christmas decorations, Halloween supplies, etc.) We have a number of tourist hotels nearby and folks find the items they forgot to bring without breaking the bank. We locals who appreciate the value, convenience and personal connection shop here, too. We're fortunate to have a number of these independently-run small discount stores in this neighborhood and each one has something to offer.
