I went to Five Guys Burgers and Fries at about 2pm last Thursday. It's located at a prominent place on Summer Street. I walked along Summer Street, and then the restaurant just came into my sight. They have burgers, sandwiches, dogs, and fries, and you can choose as many of their free toppings as you want. Also, they use fresh ingredients to make the burgers, and their fries are really made of fresh potatoes, it's healthier than some other fast-food. Their kitchen is open for everyone to see, and it looks very clean and tidy. I ordered a cheeseburger and small fries, and I recommend them because they really tasted delicious. The small size was not small at all; in fact, it surprised me when I saw the double beef in the burger and plenty of fries. And they were healthy because they were fresh. It took about ten minutes because there were two persons in front of me, but I think it was worth the wait. The price was not cheap but acceptable; it cost me about 10 bucks to have the cheese burger and fries, and I could eat my fill. Additionally, their service was good;, since it was the first time I went to this restaurant and didn't know about the toppings for the burgers, the server told me about them. I think Five Guys deserves a five-star rating, and I really want to eat their burger and fries next time I'm hungry! read more

Food with good taste, burger was a bit soggy but excellent flavors and definitely tasted fresh. Toppings are free which is a plus unlike places that nickel and dime you for things like onions. Huge amount of fries provided too, don't get one per person read more

The young staff members working on July 17th were amazing. The young woman taking orders called them out loud and clear, and the guys who were cooking were fast and efficient. The food was super hot---the fries were FANTASTIC, and the burgers were very good. Everyone was polite, and when they weren't busy at the counter, they were clearing tables and sweeping the floor. We were extremely impressed all around. The music (from Footloose to Ed Sheeran to classic rock) was fun too. We will be back. read more

Their food is great - I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a good American burger. This is nothing like your average Burger King, Wendy's, or McDonalds. The service is amazing - I love how everyone works as a team shouting out orders and getting them done quickly. They seem to have a lot of fun serving the customers! read more

Had the pleasure of being harassed by an employee in Five Guys this afternoon. Walking in, I started to feel ill and made a beeline for the bathroom. Seeing I needed a code, I kindly asked one employee for it. Turning her nose up and stating she couldn't open it until I ordered something, I tried explaining I was two moments away from puking at her feet. So of course the only thing she seemed programmed to do was repeat her statement but louder. Great. The line wrapped around and I was turning green. Walking over to a customer sitting down, I attempted to explain the situation before being SHOUTED at by this same employee that I really needed to order something. I've never met someone so robotic and unfeeling as I was literally walked out of five guys whilst she chanted her same tune. Being a long time customer of Five Guys in both New York and Connecticut, it's safe to say I will NEVER be returning to this one again. read more

EXTREMELY rude chubby hispanic guy working there. I asked if i could get the code to the bathroom and he just stared at me, after a while of this stare-down he finally said "yeah you could" and continued staring at me, when i asked him to give me the code he told me that i was blind because its on my receipt, when i told him i threw it out he said "well too bad you're gunna have to hold it" even though he was the one that took my order. I thought it was a joke at first--- if you are looking for rude people serving your mediocre fast food- this is the place for you. I've been to Five Guys in DC a few times when visiting, and I remember it being good. I knew that a location had opened in Boston, but I hadn't stopped by yet. I was out running errands on Saturday and decided to drop in for lunch. Maybe I don't accurately remember what the Five Guys in DC was like or maybe the food is just a little different here, but I wasn't that impressed by this location. I had the Cajun fries, which weren't as good as I remember them. The spices are good, but they're too thick and potato-y for my tastes. I like a crispier fry. I don't like burgers so I ordered a hot dog with pickles. It came with exactly five pickle chips. Not great. And the hot dog was split in half and grilled. It sounds like a good idea in theory, but it actually ended up throwing off the bun to hot dog ratio too much. There was more bun than hot dog in each bite. I ended up eating about half the dog and half the fries, just enough to sate my hunger, then tossing the rest out. read more

Used to love this place. They recently raised prices where a cheeseburger, little fry and small drink is $14. You priced me out.

Even though I am not a fan of burgers and fries, I like their cheese burger and fries. They give out/you can take free peanuts before you order. They have regular burger, which has 2 patties and little burger which has one patties. I think that the little burger is big enough because you can add as many toppings as you want. Terrible service! Where is the management in this place!?!? Got to be the worst 5 Guys experience I have ever had. Ordered a shake and Burger. Just 2 staff on duty. 1 member of staff took my order and made my shake straight away. The other started cooking my burger or so I thought. Instead the staff member making the burger made it for himself completely ignores the other member of staff. Came round the counter and proceeds to help himself to a soda, drinks some, tops it up, goes back to the counter, picks up his burger and goes and sits down for his break?? I'm left standing there waiting for a burger that isn't even been cooked like a complete spanner! During this time the staff member who took my order is screaming at the other to to work and not go on break, he obviously ignores her. 5mins later another staff member comes out and then starts cooking. I'm so shocked I still wait instead of asking for my money back. A joke way to run a business. Won't be back. read more

Five Guys burgers is great for the person who is looking for that real movie look to their burger and fries restaurant and also if you don't mind the extra grease and god knows how many calories in your burger. First time guest be aware unless you eat very large portions that a double cheeseburger and fries is basically a serving for 2. The fries are great some of the best.. but I can't say that the burgers are my favorite. Excellent fountain drink options though. I've also had the breakfast sandwich which the only options are egg and cheese or bacon,egg and cheese which is smothered with cheese I think they actually overdue it with the cheese that's all I can taste but I must say the bacon is cooked to perfection. My fair warning would be to only visit Five Guys once a month unless you want you gut to hang but overall a really fun looking place. I'll give it 3 stars nothing too crazy about them but also nothing bad to say. Check them out sometime and experience the epic burger. read more

I took a taxi here from Charlestown section of Boston during my visit. I ate lunch here. We got cheeseburger and fries. The best cheeseburger I've EVER had. Is so juicy , salty, and cheesy. It's delicious. The fries are moist, salty, not hard like McDonald's. it tasted like all the other five guys I go to . Same quality burger as in the ones in New York where I live. Five guys is the best chain there is, the fries are perfect unlike McDonald's French fries which are hard. I hope five guys prospers and opens more chains. read more

Love the burgers but discovered that they cook their fries in peanut oil!! For those of us that are highly allergic to peanuts and peanut products, BEWARE! Perhaps they would consider a different oil source? This is the reason they get one star, I hope they can address that issue in the near future. read more

The only reason I'm taking the time to rate this Five Guys is because I think the company as a whole is great and I've had nothing but great experiences at other locations. At this one however, they forgot my order and after I waited for fifteen minutes before politely asking what happened, they gave me attitude. And messed up the new order. Get it together. read more

Love the double wide but can be a little greasy. But the meat tastes great, better than some other places I've been to. Fries are the BEST I've had at burger joint. What I also like is the fact 5 Guys is CONSISTENT with their quality. Burgers are always good and cooked the way I like them. All in all this place is great when you want a huge burger that actually tastes like beef. read more
