This Five Guys is a bit smaller than other locations I've been to and all the tables were taken when I arrived. Customers tend to eat quickly though, so it wasn't a problem to get a table before our food was ready. The service here was better than I expected. For example, I changed my order and the cashier was able to remove the standalone burger and add the same burger as a combo without me repeating the customizations! I stopped by this location because I was craving the malt vinegar and fries. They give you soooo many fries which is good and bad. There's no way I can eat that many fries so I end up wasting half the bag. Their fries are always greasy so I get extra napkins to squeeze some of the grease out (call me weird lol). I love the malt vinegar and fries combination! I pour a lot of the malt vinegar over my fries. I don't get any seasoning on my fries (no salt or Cajun). I was surprised to see that this location only has 3 stars. I've come to this five guys about a dozen times over the last six months since I started my new job nearby and it's always a nice meal. The service is excellent. The dining area is always clean. The person who hands me my order is always so polite, sincere, and helpful. I ordered online and I typically ask for a side cup of their house mayo in person when I get there but when I opened my order they remembered my order and included it even though I hadn't asked for it. It may seem like such a minor courtesy but I've worked in fast food before and that's a sign the kitchen is well managed and that they genuinely care about their customers. read more

This Five Guys is located in the Culver City, Westfield Mall. Just turn into the mall and park near Macy's. It is located on the outside of the mall on the North side. We love this Five Guys and always go to this one. The manager is great and the place is always spotless. Service is very good and it does not take long to get your meal. They have a nice selection of burgers, fries, shakes, etc. There is something there for everyone. A vegan would not be happy, but a vegetarian can find something. We just love their service. They are great at making your order the way you want it and they get it right the first time. All of the food is fresh and prepared for you. It is not usually too crowded, so you will be able to find a table and get your food in short order. You can, of course, get it to go and I assume a place like Grub Hub delivers. When you walk in you will see rows and rows of shelled peanuts for you to have at no charge. The place is cute in red and white tile. You get in line to order your food and your receipt will have a number on it for you to pick it up. It is all made right in front of you. It is really a step above fast food. Located in the Westfield mall, this Five Guys is situated in an ideal location for both shoppers and people just stopping for food. The restaurant is right next to a parking lot so you don't have to go in the mall to find it. Five Guys is known for their peanuts. As you walk in, you pass by a row of dozens of 20-lb bags of peanuts (still in the shell) plus multiple baskets of peanuts which you can freely grab and snack on. They are complimentary. If you have a peanut allergy, beware: there's probably peanut dust all over this place. I'm not much of a burger person so I decided to order the BLT instead. The BLT was just ok. It came on a hamburger bun rather than sliced (ideally sourdough) bread, which was a major step down from what I was expecting. The lettuce and tomato were of typical fast-food quality. I think I would've been better off with a traditional burger here. We also ordered a large bag of fries for 3 people. It was SO MANY FRIES. Just a heads up. An order of large fries will probably feed a small army (more literally 6-8 people). So plan ahead before you order it. read more

Poor management and a total lack of integrity in how they conduct business. If a customer calls at 6:55pm and you neglect to inform them of your special hours. That's poor judgement and thoughtless. I'm going to give this place 4-Stars because this was the very first location I had ever tried a Five Guys burger and at the time, it definitely lived up to the hype. It is located at the Fox Hills Mall in Culver City so the parking is pretty easy (usually). Just go during off-hours. The burgers here are solid and the fries are large enough to share. Everything is made to order. Is it the best burger I've ever tasted. Absolutely not, but for fast food and chain it's a mighty tasty choice. I always go with a junior because the regular would be way too much unless I split it. Of course, this all depends on how hungry I am so scratch that. I recommend splitting a burger, splitting a regular order of fries, trying the malt vinegar but still get the ketchup, grabbing a handful of peanuts and saving room for a milkshake for a pleasant dining experience. Their 'regular fries' cost $5. And they're just meh--though better than McDonalds fries. If this is a best in class burger joint--I don't see it. Overpriced? Definitely. A drink is $2.59 plus tax. But it's their operations process that bothers me. It's dependent on a call out by the cashier on the number of patties. Why can't they use computer screens???? On a Sunday afternoon they were understaffed with 3 employees working the grill and 1 cashier. 1 cashier and a line 7 people long. The soda machine had no ice. That's poor management. The burger is good -- not gonna fault it. Tragically, Five Guys tries to do the work of 10 people, but ends up unable to keep up with the workload. Great toppings on a good patty, and on this visit the whole package stayed together remarkably well! The fries are a great addition, and plentiful. I'm kind of between 3.5-4 stars on this place, yet I'll just round it to four. When I lived in Washington, DC, I tried Five Guys for the first time there. The burgers were dinky and tasted mehhh to me. That's why I haven't been back to any Five Guys (been about 2.5 years) and always went to In-n-Out. However, after work today, I went to the mall to get some food and I decided to give Five Guys another try... why not? I ordered: -Little cheeseburger with everything but mayo -Fries Pros: -The employees there are all really nice and hardworking. Seems like that one guy in there kept sweeping peanut shells off the floor but the place didn't seem to get any cleaner O_O -The burger itself was HUGE. I asked the lady what the difference was and she said the Little ones only have 1 patty as compared to 2. When I bit down on it, there was so much good stuff in it...... my favorite was the ...mm...mushrooms. -Fries and lots of it!!! Overfilling and spilling out everywhere. I couldn't even finish half of them so they are now in my fridge -I liked the free peanuts. So COOL. Cons: -Slightly pricey. The 2 items above cost me $8.25. At In-n-Out, it'd probably cost me $4. Granted, I have leftovers from Five Guys, the $4 difference is not worth it................ -Fries are not as good as In-n-Out. Some were burnt. Overall, my impression of Five Guys have improved. Total came out to be $11.72. The burger was good but nothing extraordinary. The Cajun fries were flavorful but rather soft and not crispy. They give you a lot of fries though. Overall, i thought the meal was good since my expectations are very minimal. If you come with high expectations, you'll definitely be disappointed. Salt lovers, come here for their Cajun fries! There's a bunch of saltiness on every single one, and you won't be disappointed (maybe). So they have Cajun fries and their Five Guys Style Fries. What is the Five Guys Style Fries? Fries with salt. REALLY??? If you call the fries by your name, they better have someone special about it. So I ordered the cajun fries, and they were good, but there was a lot of salty bits to them. The portion was nice too. A whole cup full plus a scoop or two extra. Mmm. Their burgers are just okay. People say they're the other In-n-Out (mostly prices), but those people are liars because 5 guys is much more expensive than In-n-Out and the two taste nothing alike, but nonetheless, let the comparisons begin! I love how you can customize the burgers here. It's sort of like basic version of The Counter, but without the cool form to put down your customizations and with just the more basic toppings. I really love how they don't charge an amount per topping. HOWEVER, the bun isn't really toasted, leaving you with a very mushy burger. It doesn't stay together well, destroying the consistency with every bite. I got mine to go, but the drive was no more than 10 minutes. When I unwrapped my burger, it looked a bit mushy, but when I picked it up, it totally fell apart. In-n-Out's burgers are cheaper and smaller, but even with a half hour trip home at times, it doesn't get all mushy! The buns are nicely toasted and things just go well together. Simple, but it kind of sucks how a grilled cheese is the same price as a cheeseburger. At least with five guys, the cheeseburger and the veggie sandwich (?) differ in price. OH, In-n-Out has ANIMAL style, which is quite a unique style. It's THEIR style. Five Guys Style is fries with salt??? Really? Person behind the counter told us that, and it was like wait.. what? That's the generic style, not your own style! We cannot get over that. We're hoping we were just told incorrectly just so we can keep our sanity. Soooo yeah... I have been passing this place for weeks now just waiting for them to have their opening. I read this morning that today was opening day. I already had plans in the area, so it was not an extra trip to make my way over and suffer the parking lot. To be honest, I would have if I hadn't been in the area anyway. There were several tables of people already eating and no line. I stood back a bit to look at the menu and decide what I wanted. The enthusiastic employee at the register (so sorry I didn't get her name) waved me over. After asking if I had been to a Five Guys before (I have, but it's been years) she wanted to gave me the run down. Regular size burgers (2 patties), smaller burgers, hot dogs, drinks, fries. Burgers come plain, you ask for the toppings you want. There are 15 different toppings to choose from. I went with Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickles (I know, weird combo). I also ordered the regular size of the cajun fries. Took my receipt and change and stepped aside. As I was waiting for my order to come up, I was snapping photos when a very nice staff member came up to chat with me. We were having a good old time just shooting the breeze .. I snapped his pic .. and as it turned out, his name is Joe and he's the Regional Director of Operations (I think that's what he said). I really enjoyed the chat, so much so that my food came up and I stuck around to wrap up my conversation. I did managed to express my love of Five Guys burgers and happiness that they were now in the neighborhood. Once home, I dove into the burger like a kid dives into birthday cake. Would the Culver City franchise do justice to the Michigan version of the burger I remember from years ago? Yes. OMG .. yes. Fresh, tasty, moist, dripping with ooey gooey goodness. Bite after bite .. This Five Guys in located on the side of the Westfield mall in Culver City. The employees here are phenomenal. This is my second time at this location and it was perfect both times. I usually order the regular cheeseburger (two patties) rather than the little cheeseburger (one patty). You can either order your burger "all the way" which includes more of your basic hamburger set like mayo, lettuce tomato, etc. I always add lettuce, tomato, mustard, ketchup, pickles, and sliced jalapeños. When it comes to ordering fries, get a SMALL if you're ONE person! Large is good for about 4 people. Seriously, it's huge. Lots of parking since it's at the mall, it's never empty here, and the outside patio is a great spot to have a good lunch under the California sunshine. read more
