Some reason, we don't frequent Five Guys as much as the other burger establishments. But sure am glad to revisit this experience as it was delicious! The menu is not extensive, but the options are just enough to have a pleasant dining experience. The made-to-order burgers are tasty with many options for toppings. I opted for mushrooms and jalapenos, which hit the spot! The fries are very generous even for the smallest option. Add a little malt vinegar and it was perfect! This location is very friendly and the service is fast. There were plenty of seats available and parking is shared among the shopping center. Will definitely be back for more! Enjoy!

skimpy $10.31 Five-Guys burger

Restaurant is clean; well-maintained, nice atmosphere. I had a bad Five-Guys Burger here and a bad experience, both instances unique to this store. I like my burgers "messy," which means extra lettuce, onions, tomato, healthy stuff; while ordering, I joke with the cashier making a facial and hand gesture of a messy burger and expect some humor in the display. This particular cashier had no humor, and when I got the burger, it was like too many others, slight in portions of all condiments - 1 small leaf of lettuce, 3 squished sliced pickles, 1 jalapeno slice, slight mayonnaise, no onion. They seem to be counting the pennies at this store. This overpriced burger cost $10.31. I have attached a picture of a smaller Wendy's burger, given the same "messy" description, and I found it a value at $3.99. This Five-Guys burger was a bad value and lacked what I asked for. As I was leaving, I felt obliged to share my opinion with the manager, and she argued as if to "win," that her employees needed to hear the word "extra" to correctly service the order. I was asking for no renumeration, but expected a "thank you, and sorry you did not enjoy your meal," but what I heard was "attitude" and "push back" that this "skimpy" burger at $10.31 had the standard portions of condiments. This is the most expensive burger in this area; one of the worst; with unfriendly service. There are other Five-Guys that do offer a superior product that deserve your business. By the way, the standard at fast-food restaurants seems to offer internet, but Five-Guys does not. By the way, a regular drink is $3.59, higher than standard, and water is served in a small .5 oz cup. After a $10.31 burger, I want a water-cup that services the meal. I was not impressed with this particular restaurant.

These were the pickles that were in the burger.

Ordered 2 cheese burgers. One only mayo and the other one was only tomato, lettuce, mayo and ketchup. My burger with mayo was fine but they put pickles on my fiancées burger. She very sensitive to sulfite so she absolutely never eats pickles as they make her face puff up and swell. Unfortunately they put pickles in her burger for some reason? Because mine was fine and she took a bite into it and instantly spit it out and went running to the sink to wash her face/mouth. I called the restaurant and the employees didn't care, I could hear the manager in the background speaking in Spanish telling the employee to just hang up on me. Bet he didn't know I spoke Spanish. I asked for his managers name and the employee says "uhh I don't know my managers name" and then says "I think it's Marc?" And then he goes sorry and hangs up... I've never experienced that before at any place so definitely ain't coming back here

12/27/22 On 12/21/22 5 Guys was on my mind yesterday. As a matter of fact, it was on my mind for the past week. Yesterday I decided to have some Cheese Hotdogs with grilled onions. The store wasn't very busy, but I did see some tables with left over peanut shells on a table. I spoke to the manager on duty Axel J, or at least that is who was using the register earlier. The prices have indeed gone up, but the food smelled good. Evidently I was pretty hungry. Unfortunately after ordering two cheese hot dogs with grilled onions, I saw the orders came out wrong. Moreover tje food made me sick. I called the same night tree times and two times I got no answer. Between the first and third call some one picked up the phone and did not say a word. This past Friday I spoke to two managers who were not very helpful. I did not wish to eat more food that could possibly make me sick again and the manager would not do a refund. I highly recommend not eating here unless you want to be feel nauseated and shit diarrhea all day long. I am seriously considering letting OSHA know about this.

Reception area - ordering at right; pickup at left.

When you're hungry for a burger, Five Guys is really satisfying. Getting a little cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, and ketchup with a side order of fries will put you in a food coma. This branch was not busy on a Saturday at 2pm when my 16 year old son and I came here for lunch after his baseball game. Since I could not place an online order while driving, we entered the restaurant to place our order and only waited about 10 minutes. There are tables for indoor dining, but most people seem to place takeout orders. The reception area is well-organized with the right side for placing orders and the left side for pickups. I would say that it's important to keep your order simple and straightforward. If you buy a drink, the soda foundation machines give you a tremendous selection of beverages. This location in Merrifield has a large parking lot, but access to the shopping plaza is limited to a single entry point with a traffic light on Gallows Road. During peak times, I would imagine it gets backed up with cars in a long line. If you are heading north on Gallows Rd. (away from Route 50), it's possible to pass through the nearby gas station and exit there to make a right turn. The only downside of Five Guys is that the delicious scent of burgers and fries will occupy your car, which can make you even more hungry as you drive home!

I love the vibe of this location and the people are always nice and quick. The food is always quality, the Cajun fries are the best!

Excellent service, good food, and friendly staff. This is one of the larger Five Guys.

Attached photo is my receipt which proves my patronage.

Burger was a serious amount of food- by default it came with two patties. "Little" fries seemed more than generous amount, super tasty! Milkshake was wonderful. Yeah, it's pricey compared to fast food, but it is what it is.

I had a very disappointing experience at this McDonald's location (3009 Gallows Rd, Falls Church)…read more I stopped by to pick up an online order and decided to try the advertised "Big Arch" sandwich as it appears on the large display at the ordering point. The person taking the order (possibly an automated or AI system) confirmed they had it and even asked what size I wanted. I even asked again to confirm that they have it. When I pulled up to the first window, the cashier had no record of the order, seemed confuse and can barely speak English. At the second window, I tried to clarify whether they actually carry the "Big Arch," but there was a clear communication barrier, sorry but the lady there didn't speak any English. I was unable to get a straight answer and asked for someone who can speak English or maybe the manager, but there were none and got ignored. In the end, I only received my original online order and left frustrated. This experience reflects poor coordination between their ordering system and staff, lack of awareness of promoted menu items, and inadequate customer communication. Until these issues are addressed, I cannot recommend this location.

Their proteins and fries are perfect, their salad is cold and crisp, and the execution of their rice is consistently the benchmark. First off though: the lighting is really harsh. It's Temu hexagonal 10000K bright white led honeycombs from blaze hell. The walls are primer black, and there are no paper towels in the bathrooms. Solution: I almost always get my food to-go. I flip flop between the Falafel Platter and the Mixed (Chicken + Lamb Gyro) Platter with the following no-charge mod: NO fries, MORE salad. This leaves the rice alone - you will get rice - and it is a very long grain, saffroned, Basmati rice that is distinctively al dente. Not fluffy or clumpy - they are highly separated and firm rice grains, and I absolutely love it this way. This rice blows the competition far and away. If you like fries, they are good - they're the double-fried "Burger King" style and keep their heat decently well in the to-go clamshell. The sauces are quite special. I like them all. I always ask for the following on-the-side (no zig-zags for me): the white (tahini-like), the green (cilantro), the red (spicy), the orange (signature Blazin spice). There are a couple of others, but I find these 4 create a nice balance. Oh and the late-night hours secure the 5-star rating. This can feel like the perfect late-night food - thanks to the owners for accommodating the late-night fans. Quickie review notes: The burger is just okay - the patty should be bigger. The Chopped Cheese is convincing, but not the best value item, IMO. The milkshakes are very tasty!

You can definitely find something here that you'll like. My go-to is The Loaded Philly and WOW. It's a Philly cheesesteak with onions and peppers, plus mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, fries, and a homemade chipotle sauce all stacked together. It's messy, over-the-top, and absolutely delicious. Don't skip the Blazin Sunset drink either--half strawberry, half mango and super refreshing. Perfect balance to the savory food. If you're hungry and want something fun, flavorful, and different from the usual, this is the spot. I'll definitely be back (with extra napkins).

Nevertheless, I do find myself coming back to this spot after a few months when I have a specific bartaco craving. Tacos are known to be smaller than your usual on a 4 inch tortilla. You will want to eat a couple if you're coming here hungry. I usually need at least 3-4 to be satisfied. Highly recommend the seafood tacos especially the fried oyster and baja fish which are my go-to's. Glazed pork belly is pretty popular and the sesame ribeye has that korean bulgogi flavor. Duck birria under "not tacos" of the menu is tender and cheesy.

I let the employee at the register know I was there to pick up my order. He told me it would be about another 10 minutes, which I completely understood since it was getting busy. Unfortunately, it seemed like he forgot I was waiting. I watched several customers who arrived after me receive their orders before I did. When I finally went back to the register to ask about my order, I was told that my food had apparently been given to other customers. This was extremely disappointing because the order wasn't just for me--it was for my coworkers as well. I ended up spending my entire lunch break waiting for an order that I never received. A mistake like this can happen, but I would have appreciated better communication and more attention to customers waiting for pickup. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, and I hope the restaurant improves its pickup process to prevent this from happening to someone else.
