Great location! You can never go wrong with a Five Guys, and this one is no exception. They have one of those new age Coca-cola fountain machines (you know the touch screen one where you get to select a concoction of whatever flavor you can imagine). They also have a friendly staff and a clean bathroom. Went to five guys for the first time tonight. Overall it was a good experience. The service was good, very quick too the food was ready within five minutes of ordering. I got a bacon cheeseburger small. If we didn't ask about the small and regular burgers I probably would have ordered a regular which is two patties. The small burger was plenty, even for my dad. The three of us also split a large fry which was plenty there were a ton of fries. The burger was delicious I loved the grilled onions, and the fries were nice and crispy. The only problem I had was next time I would save the money and calories and not get the bacon cheeseburger because I couldn't really taste the bacon. So I have been a fan of 5 Guys since they were a small chain in the DC area. Have visited this location several times and always had a good experience. The cashier was prompt and polite. My issue was with the cleanliness. Door was filthy, floor was greasy, not all tables wiped clean, one of the cooks killed a fly against the back of the menu board, he showed it to the other cook as it was on his finger. He than continued to work behind the line....The cashier was also the shake maker. Did not wash hands or use gloves as she bounced between the two tasks. (I was excited that this location was trying shakes..but probably need to work on the food handling issues.) The shake was $4.49 for maybe 10 oz) Overall this restaurant needs a good scrubbing and some food safety training. read more

These 5 guys definitely got it right. I swore they had to roll me out on a stretcher when I was done. The burgers are done just right, that is of course after you dig yourself through a bag full of delicious golden fries. We have been in there many times for lunch and the service is fast, the quality of the product is consistent and the portions of fries are large. I find the price slightly higher than I want to pay for a fast food burger, however the quality never dissapoints. Parking can also be a problem in this location during busy hours. read more

I like Five Guys. I stop there occasionally as treat. Always have had good experiences at this location. I ordered online and was there on time to pick up. They usually wait for you to arrive before they cook the fries. However, on my way home, I noticed that the fries were not hot and fresh. Not the end of the world, I usually don't eat them all anyway. At home, I tried the burger - it was a single patty cheese burger. It basically was well done, burnt. I ate half and threw the rest away. Really didn't want to drive back and complain. Maybe they are under new management? I won't rush back. Disgusting. The fries are so yummy and you get tons of them! If you're looking for a quick burger without sitting down to order and that is better than fast food this is the place to go. The burgers are really sloppy and greasy but taste good...sometimes really plain (little seasoning needed) but the meat is better than any McDonalds or Burger King. When I was coming home from my busy 9-5 schedule all I wanted to do was kick my shoes off and relax with a big juicy burger to drool like my stepson does but all over my plate. Sometimes if I'm feeling edgy I skip the plate ;). So I took off to my local 5 guys because going to one that isn't local is inconvenient. I drive up in my '09 vehicle and parked in their parking lot. First I parked in the package store parking lot (I bet those tunxis kids love that spot for when they raise the roof). I found an adequate parking spot for my vehicle afterwards. I walked up to the establishment and held the door for another fellow woman who seemed to be struggling holding a large bag. I did my good deed as the good person that I am and held the door for them. I bet they will remember this day for years to come! I also do donate to charities sometimes because I know that some people are not as fortunate not talented as I am so I feel I do need to give back. I do post it on my Instagram if you want to follow me. Also I don't donate for just tax purposes. I walked up to the register and the employee working it greeted me very nicely. He was a 8/10. He asked for my order in a very nice way, and I would rate his service 10/10 so I give him a 8.5/10. When I received my burger, I noticed cheese on it. I always request no cheese as I am a vegan and am trying to help stop the suffering of animals in the food industry. The worker was rude and I'm pretty sure he just scrapped the cheese off. Gross! All in all, it was pretty good. I didn't get too messy and was able to eat a sufficient dinner. My mommy let me have dessert after, yum! 5 guys was pretty good too. read more

This restaraunt is absolutely fantastic! The people who work in this particular location are very friendly. I like the atmosphere and the food is delicious! Heard good reviews about this place on Route 6... Was quite excited as I do love a tasty burger. I got about 5 burgers and 4 fries for my family. The following is my thoughts on just my burger and on all the fries. First, the fries: They were soggy, over salted, fairly greasy, and unimpressive. I was told by someone who had their fries that they were crisp and tasty last time he got them, and that the fries we got were pathetic. The burger: the burger was ok at best. It was big enough for the price. The toppings seemed a bit old (the lettuce and tomato seemed pretty dry, and the mushrooms were completely flavorless). A place with "burgers and fries" in their name should have pretty amazing burgers and fries, which I was expecting, but I was sorely disappointed. There are places that are very close by which have far superior burgers and fries, even though they arent known FOR that. read more

After hearing people talking about how great this place is, and looking at the full parking lot every time I drive by, I decided to check it out. I have been to a Five Guys before, while I was in Baltimore and it wasn't bad. I finally checked the Farmington location out last week, and all I can say is the food wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say it was good either. Definitely not as good as the Baltimore location. I was going back and forth between 2 and 3 stars. I don't see it as a special burger at all and I really don't get the buzz about this place. I prefer going to some place that has gourmet 100% Angus Beef burgers that are created in house, so you aren't scared to get a medium rare burger. I don't mind paying more for a better burger. This place is not as amazing as everyone seems to think it is. I am convinced that everyone is seduced by their large portions: I guess for the bucks you get a lot, but I prefer quality over quantity. I thought the fries were too greasy. I only ate a small portion and threw the rest away. Because of the crowd I had to wait awhile for my order. I grabbed a hot dog on my second visit, and there are at least a dozen places in the area that have better dogs. I am going to change my A-OK to a "I've experienced better," and the better Five Guys was in Baltimore. Better than McDonalds, but definitely not my ideal burger or dog. read more

My husband and I went there for lunch. Having to be gluten-free has made it difficult on our restaurant experience. I am so excited to say, these guys were awesome about keeping my food separate and safe. As soon as my husband said the food had to be gluten-free the man at the counter was extremely kind in assuring us they knew exactly what that meant and what to do. They only cook fries in their frier, so I got to eat awesome french fries for the first time in about a year! When my husband asked about the seasoning on the fries, the man at the counter went and got the bag of seasoning so my husband could read the ingredients. They have a separate grill for burgers and grilled cheese, so no cross-contamination there either. When they served my food, it was in a separate bag from my husband's, we didn't even have to ask. I've been to three Five Guys in CT. The food is all the same in every one of them. You can't beat their burgers and fries they are the best. They don't have hot coffee.
