Bacon Cheeseburger (with tomatoes, raw onions, green peppers, jalapeños, and barbecue sauce!)

The Greenbelt, Maryland location of this quickly-becoming omnipresent chain of restaurants is perfect if you crave one thing only: a crisp yet moist burger made to your exact preferences in terms of condiments and toppings. My signature burger: the bacon cheeseburger (with 2 patties instead of 1) topped by raw onions, fresh tomatoes, green peppers, jalapeños, and barbecue sauce! Recently, some locations have started serving shakes; and, although they are palatable, they are not a necessity for your meal to perfectly sate your appetite. If you are ordering for yourself and you want fries, order a small. Their portions for orders of fries are beyond generous.

Offering one of the best burgers off of 193/University Blvd/Greenbelt Rd, these Five Guys stomp on the Burger King's crown, mess up Ronald's mascara and pull out Wendy's weave. The menu here is simple: burgers, hot dogs, and fries. You can add bacon or cheese to your burger or dog for about $0.50 each and all the toppings are free - I usually get a bacon burger all the way with hot sauce, jalapenos and green peppers ($4.79). For my usual long review check out http://www.yelp.com/biz/five-guys-laurel#hrid:0bmV4Rg_DwF-qPuhdl6AZw As far as this location, there are several things to report. 1) they do take Mastercard and Visa 2) there were no peanuts the 3 times I've gone, hence the fifth guy doesn't get his star. And, no, I didn't go 3 times in a week. 3) this Five Guys resembles a Chipotle as far as the diversity of their workforce (or lack thereof) 4) I 'm not a fan of the way the employees do the fries here. They simply put a cup in a paper bag and put 2 scoops of fries in, which isn't as dramatic as when they fill up the cup, place it in the bag, and dump a bunch more in the bag. 5) get in before 12:30 b/c the lunch rush can get rather intense. Combined with the long wait times for the food (5-15 minutes), this may be a problem for those looking for a quick lunch. 11am-10pm daily.

Just had the best experience at this location thanks to Dewayne G. Traveling from DC to Philly and decided to hop off the interstate for lunch. Dewayne is made for customer service! Smiling face as we walked up. We told him it was our first time and he walked us through the whole menu along with suggestions. Although a bit pricey, the burgers were amazing! Comparable to In-N-Out but all the condiments you could want included. Milkshakes are thick and plenty of different options. Dewayne then topped off his amazing service by bringing us water cups to our table since he noticed we only got milkshakes and thought we might want something else to drink....he was right :) Thank you Dewayne!!

Your favorite Yelp correspondent was in the Silver Spring area visiting our son, resident pastor at…read moreGeorge Washington University, and we stopped in at Z Burgers for a quick bite. My son ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, Mayo and Z sauce. He reported it as "Highly satisfying, comparable to the ChiK-Fil-A spicy." I chose the Single Patty Cheeseburger with small fries and a drink. My cheeseburger was good but not spectacular. The fries, ditto. Pro Tips: -The fries are generously portioned in all three sizes. My small was enough for the three of us to share; -The drinks are available in bottles, only. The fountain dispensary is broken; -Be prepared to spend- Z Burgers does not feature any combo specials, so you'll pay a la carte for every item. Our bill, for two sandos, a small fry and one Dr. Pepper, was $28.72...which is downright pricey. (And I write this as a lifelong Los Angeleno accustomed to living in the country's second most expensive marketplace). A nice gesture by the folks at Z Burgers that helped elevate this review from three to four stars: The inclusion of dainty but utterly delicious Baklava pastries at a closing kiss to your meal.

What I didn't like, was the wait time and how off putting this space felt. They worked with what they had space wise. There are some two seater booths that line the one wall and then there is a high top like table, they also had some tables and chairs that went out into the mall area. What was off putting was that right outside their space security sits. Makes you think you might be doing something not right. Once my food was ready I decided to dig in. I was a bit dismayed by the price I paid, that is until I saw the amount of food I received. This turned out to be a pretty big meal that kept me full for the rest of the day. The burger was amazing and all the toppings, which our of your choice, are fresh. You get a ton of fries which was a nicer proportionate helping to the burger. Drinks are either fountain or bottle, kind of all depends on if you are eating in house or taking it to go. With the space being a bit narrow, depending on where you sit, you might be near the trash area or condiment area. Which can and obviously is the busiest areas in the location. Staff were good at their job here and tended to the customers when they came in. Even when it was a large group of customers, which were a little more loud than needed to be. They were patient and made sure they got them out of the space as quickly as they could (remember, the food is cooked to order).

Like what? We chose that and Carolina Gold...when I say the wings are juicy, they're juicy. Crisp on the outside, flavorful, and juicy on the inside. The lemon basil is my new favorite, even more so when dipped into their Yum Yum sauce. The Carolina Gold reminds me of honey mustard with a little extra pizzazz. The cauliflower bites (we got mild) still had a nice kick. Bring some to your veggie-head friend and relish the praise, along with the fried okra. I make it a point to try fried okra if it's on the menu, and yes. All the yes. It was cooked through with the perfect snap, so fresh. Add some mozzarella sticks if you're feeling generous. I brought those home and popped into the air fryer for 3 minutes. Perfection. Next up is the Cheesesteak egg roll. I could literally eat 4 in one sitting. They're so good that the next order placed will involve a cheesesteak. Survey says...10/10. Great service, delicious food, all in all a great establishment. Love the colors inside too.

I had wings (obviously) and selected 2 flavors - Honey Lemon Garlic and Thai Chili. They were fried hard and held their crisp under the sauce. WIN!! Both sauces hit but I think the lemon garlic was my top. Add to it, the customer service was great. Seemed family run. There was a young man and an older gentleman at the register. Both were helpful and welcoming and seemed to have a familial respect for each other which was also awesome to see. I'll definitely return.

Representing 2025, H is for Habit Burger:…read more I've been to the Bowie location a few times in past 3 years. They didn't have the best first impression. They had a free burger event in July 2023 for free charburger, but when I got there a sign saying due to unforseen circumstances they had to cancel. It would've been helpful to have known before driving all the way over there. I emailed the company, and they sent me a free meal to use within the next year. Habit Burger is good if you have an issue, which is rare, they will take care of it. My girlfriend & I went to this location twice, August 2024 & June 2025. In August 2024, we had a long Bowie walk with a Meetup group and were hungry for dinner after. So, we went to nearby Habit Burger. Like In-N-Out Burger, which is only in the West, Habit Burger also started in California. In-N-Out started in Baldwin Park near LA in the late 1940's, and Habit Burger started in Santa Barbara in 1969. I love In-N-Out, but I think Habit is even superior to In-N-Out. They know how to make the charbroiled burgers so well. Fries are delicious too, and they have specialty strawberry lemonade, which is sweet & tasty. We went again to Habit Bowie on Friday, June 27, 2025 since we had to pick up my g/f car from repair in east Annapolis car dealer service. That June 2025 was kind of rough. We had a great trip at the beginning of June to Toronto & Niagara Falls. But starting June 16, I had 3 rounds of chemo, which thankfully was a success, except for the leftover teratoma (at least not viable cancer) which led to major surgery in February. On Friday, 6/20, after first round of chemo, we had a minor trip to eastern shore MD with a small group of friends. My girlfriend drove us since I was leaving from chemo. Although I wasn't feeling great for the trip, that wasn't why that trip wasn't fun. The worst part was our friend brought a total whack job with him who created unnecessary drama (he acknowledged it was a terrible mistake). Now he has a girlfriend, who is nice, so his +1 will definitely be better. The 2nd worst aspect was that Friday, my g/f car broke down in Easton. We had to wait for tow to drive car from Easton to Annapolis dealer (since my g/f car has no dealers on eastern shore, and mechanics in Easton didn't have the right part). And then get a ride from someone coming from more than 30 minutes away already there. Annual trip in June 2026 has got to be better as the June 2025 was 1 in 1000 year confluence of bad events that weekend. The following Friday, June 27, 2025, Habit was running a deal for free double charburger with purchase. One of us purchased the fries (to split) & other purchase the drink, so we both got the free double burger. We enjoyed that for lunch on the way to Annapolis. This was a big meal especially considering I was on chemo, but it was delicious, and I managed alright that day. Once again like in August 2024, I commented to my g/f how this is the best at least casual dining burger out there.

Additionally, they have an app with a rewards program that is a good amount back. Service: The BEST in college park. Especially if you're there frequently, the workers are as nice as can be and make conversation/remember you very quickly. From my first time to my most recent, I haven't had a bad experience. Ambiance: Hands down the best "bar" in College Park. If you like to avoid crowds, and prefer a little space to yourself (and even your group), this is the place for you. Gets a little busy on the weekends, but an extremely chill setting to watch games or enjoy yourself 99.9% of the time. If anyone asked me to recommend one place in college park, it would be here. Between the draft beer selection and excellent food, there's no better place in CP!

Workers said "technically they are allowed inside but we would rather have them outside". It was off putting to advertise being dog friendly but not allowing them into the establishment.
