It is definitely on the pricey side for burgers and hot dogs, but the food quality is solid and they are famously generous with the fries. This location stood out for having a super friendly staff and getting our order out quickly. It's strange because you hear about 5 Guys quite often regarding burgers and fries but of all the times I've eaten there, nothing really stood out or impressed me...especially with the size/taste of the burger for the high PRICE. Every time he calls my order and sees it's me he gives me a hard time. I always smile, thank him, tip 20% but just grimaces at me and often ignores my existence. It's a good place to go to grab a burger. Stopped by because I was in the area and needed to grab a quick bite. Now Five Guys, you know a little cheese burger should not cost $8.09 and a little Cajun fry should not cost $4.49! Now the burger is solid, though I truly wished you would just toast the bun!!! My issue with this place is the price. I have a problem paying their price for just a burger then having to pay for fries and a drink. $20 for a burger meal without table service crosses the line. We LOVE Five Guys. This location is terrible. The chair takes all the phone calls and takes forever to take your order because they answer 3 calls between you trying to order 2 burgers and 2 drinks. They have a ton of people cooking, yet took almost 30 minutes to get the order out. Nothing complicated either, so not sure what that's all about. We also paid for bacon on both burgers and didn't get it on either, but it wasn't worth waiting potentially 30 more minutes to get it fixed. The burgers here are fresh, real beef and made to order. I had a "little cheeseburger" "little fry" and a drink. The total came up to $13.95 for one meal. I understand the quality of their ingredients but $13.95 for a burger fries and a drink you can get a bigger better burger and be served at a number or other local burger places. For starters, two ladies that walked in before me walked right out when they took a look at the menu. I was initially confused until after i saw how much my total was for a burger and milkshake. I felt rushed by the cashier to order my food. While waiting for my burger i went to the restroom to wash my hands and saw a sign hanging that said they were rated the #1 place to get a burger under $6. Five Guys serves a really good burger. There is no doubt about that. Anytime we are road tripping somewhere and Five Guys is an option to stop at, generally we are going to go there. They do the griddle style burger thing really well. Also, the fries are great and served in plentiful amounts, enough for several people to share. I definitely recommend getting them cajun seasoned, they are superior to the standard fries. For many towns, a Five Guys burger would be a 5 star burger. However, in Greensboro we are largely spoiled by a wealth of great, locally owned, burger locales. The other thing that hurts Five Guys here, is that ALL of those places are serving up a burger that is just as good or better than theirs for less money. Nine Dollars for a Bacon Cheeseburger is pretty nuts, no matter how good it is, especially if we are talking about "fast casual food". I'll pay that while out on the road to get a burger I know is good, but they are getting trampled here locally by local owners with bigger and better grub. That is a good thing, in my opinion. They surprised me on my last visit with no salt fries which of course is way better for my health but the fries did not taste the same. If you like fries this is the place to come because they give you a boat load. Five guys makes decent burgers and their order of large fries is really large. I tried the cheeseburger with everything on it and it was pretty tasty, but not the best I've had in town. I ordered regular fries and Cajun style fries, but there was no difference between the two. They had sprinkled Cajun seasoning on both! There were a lot of customers and many had to wait to get tables. The orders did not follow a first in first out process, so one has to listen for their order number. Mine was 65 and order number 67 was ready before mine! All the employees seemed overworked and tired and not really interested in making great burgers.
