I would love to give Biscuitville 5 but unfortunately, I cannot. We went for breakfast last Sunday and I ordered a pork chop with American cheese on a biscuit, fries and Cheerwine. The young lady who took my order was most cheerful and was very nice. I hope they keep her for as long as they can! My food was fresh and good UNTIL I got to the middle of the sandwich. It wasn't cooked all the way through and by the time I got to it, we were on another side of Greensboro-we ordered from the Battleground location. I called almost immediately (it took some time to google the location as it's not on the receipt ). I spoke to Victoria and she said to ask for her when I returned and she'd take care of me. Very customer-centric! I was leaving to come back home so I stopped back in on the way to the airport and I again was extremely impressed with the high level of customer service this establishment provides. I showed my receipt and briefly explained my situation and at least two team members were eager to assist me. I advised them of my order and in my haste, I didn't check my sandwich in store-the forgot my cheese. As I was in town for the weekend, it was my personal mission to try places that I don't have in my home area. I came across Biscuitville in passing and the name and super cute exterior design made me stop and give it a try. Upon pulling in I was excited to see the dual Drive-Thru as that always allows for a swifter process. Pulling up I was greeted by Alexis with a huge smile and warm "Welcome to Biscuitville!" I told her it was my first time and she became just as excited as I was. As I was a ways back from the main menu, Alexis provided me with a paper menu to review. Talk about good customer service! 5 Stars for Alexis! Taking a moment to review the menu I decided on the Spicy Chicken Honey Biscuit Combo with Grits and Sweet Tea!!! Oh yes!!! I was ready for this experience.. Getting to the pickup window was super quick even though both lines were loaded with cars. The process they have in place is spot on and allows for a true in and out flow. The Food: The Biscuit was buttery and GOOD. Crunchy around the edges and soft in the middle. The Chicken was well seasoned. Crunchy on the outside while remaining moist and meaty on the inside. The spice level was about a 2.5 out of 5 which is perfect for a breakfast sandwich. The Grits... they taste like grits. The Sweet Tea was a great pairing to the honey biscuit as it kept the southern charm theme. LoL! As far as flavor, the sweet tea tastes like Southern Sophistication and Everyday Charm. Not too sweet but just sweet enough. North Carolina staple - Biscuitville. One of my favorite biscuits in the state will forever be Biscuitvilles - bold claim, I know. Their ultimate bacon egg and cheese biscuit is salty, fluffy, creamy and packed with flavor. Not crumbly biscuits in sight! My wife had to work overnight and I picked up her up and she wanted breakfast so the Biscuitville Battleground drive through was convenient. There was no line and we got through quickly. The lady could not hear me on the intercom and I had to repeat our order a couple of times. There was some loud machine noise nearby. Then the cashier at the 1st window did not give me a receipt and walked away quickly. However, the food was decent and consistent with the other Biscuitvilles we have been to. The biscuit was soft--melt-in-your-mouth kind of fresh. I tried the pancake too because my sister told me they were good--and it was, big and fluffy. Service was fast and the lady was so friendly--true southern hospitality. I enjoyed the coffee too. First off, I don't like drive-thru's because there is so much room for error. I also tend to avoid this Biscuitville location because of the looooong line of traffic extending out to Battleground Avenue. However, now that the new drive-thru is complete, and I figured it was safe to try this location again. I was greeted with the traditional mumbled, unintelligible upsell (something about strawberry soda?). After giving my order for a bacon, egg & cheese combo and repeating it very precisely, I drove around to window #1 to pay. I was asked for a name (why?) and my order repeated... "bacon, egg & cheese and small decaf coffee?" "A bacon, egg and cheese COMBO, with decaf coffee," I replied. At this point, I was losing confidence in the whole process, but I carried on. Driving up to window #2, I was asked if I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese biscuit and small decaf coffee. (Dear reader - you see where this is going, don't you?)... I was given my order and - this not being my first rodeo - I checked the contents of the bag. You guessed it, just the biscuit - no hash browns - and no "coffee-stirrer" (I am not sure what the proper terminology for this is... swizzle stick? You know, sometimes it's wooden, sometimes plastic or even a plastic straw that - depending on the core temperature of the hot beverage it is used on - will often melt upon use?). They are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside... and they are not healthy. they flood them with liquid butter before putting on whatever topping you choose. So they are made well but are really unhealthily! I had to limit myself. I'm now older and don't eat them(The last one I had was a couple of years ago). The orange juice was a bit acidic and I avoid it. If you expect to use the drive through in the morning, expect to wait in a long line, often going into the street (Which is very dangerous in my opinion.) I live a couple of blocks away from a Buscuirville, and there is always a line at the drive through in the morning, and I'm surprised there hasn't been a wreck on the street yet. I was so happy to be able to get down to Greensboro this past weekend. I love all of my travels - big and small. I was happily going to drive the four hours to the city to meet up with friends, but to also get a sampling of some of North Carolina's amazing food. I've been a longtime fan of N.C. barbecue as a Southeastern Virginia native. I was really excited to try this establishment because my friend that's originally from Murfreesboro raved about it. Upon pulling up to the establishment, I was shocked that it was a breakfast joint with a drive-through! Super unique. I ordered the grilled chicken breakfast sandwich and cheese grits. I was really impressed with my sandwich. The chicken was flavorful and the sandwich itself was the perfect blend of English muffin, egg, cheese and chicken. But, my cheese grits had absolutely no flavor and they put way too much shredded cheese on top - to the point that I only ate half of the cup and threw the rest away. My two friends got breakfast platters. My friend from Murfreesboro was surprised that her cheese eggs simply had a huge slice of un-melted American cheese on top. Apparently, there food was also really bland so we all added salt and pepper to our meals. I was impressed with the strawberry muffin, it was sweet and a good size. It was a tasty delight during my drive back to Virginia. All-in-all, the food is good, you can't really mess up breakfast food. But, I wasn't blown away. read more

We popped in early yesterday morning for some comfort food, our usual choices - a Steak Biscuit, Country Ham Biscuit, a Bacon, Egg & Cheese, and a Sausage & Egg Biscuit - total cost about $10. All were nice, but the Country Ham & the Bacon, Egg & Cheese are my favorites, same for Alice. The Steak is good, but not as flavorful as some - probably gonna give up on it.. The Sausage and Egg is pretty good as long as they don't overcook the egg - the sausage is mild and rather thin so you need some nice flavorful, liquid yolk to help. Today we come and order and although nothing is wrong with the food I get home and realized they never gave me my credit card back. I now have to run back to the store and wait outside the door while hand gesturing what I'm there for because the doors are locked and the dinning area has been closed since COVID. It's 38 degrees outside and I'm being rained on waiting for someone to understand hand gestures when someone finally did she came out and handed me my card. I love me some Biscuitville. I was in Greensboro to visit family and I kept seeing the signs advertising their new Chicken and Jalapeño Pimento Cheese biscuit. Well me being a lover of pimento cheese; I could not resist. It was delicious albeit a little pricey at 4.59 for the biscuit only. If you like chicken biscuits, pimento cheese and a little spicy kick you will like this biscuit. Be forewarned that the traffic backs up on to Battleground Avenue past the KFC next door to get into the drive thru. I used to make fun of Biscuitville when I saw the billboards on the highway as I drove through North Carolina. I mean, why specialize in just biscuits? I thought this until I tried it in Greensboro on a trip back to my wife's hometown. These biscuits are far better than any other local options. Better than Bojangles. Better than the Chapel Hill's overhyped Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen. They are so fluffy and buttery that they nearly give you an immediate coronary. The only thing better is when they are paired with a nice hunk of fried chicken, or smothered in Biscuitville's excellent sausage gravy. Biscuitville is what made me fall in love with the chicken biscuit. You know it has to be good because Biscuitville is able to to thrive, profit and survive only staying open until mid-afternoon. Specializing in breakfast and only breakfast is a tough thing to do in any economy, which should tell you something about how crowded Biscuitville is all throughout their open hours. The line for the drive-thru often reaches well onto Battleground. Trips to Biscuitville (as well as Stamey's) get me excited to go to Greensboro everytime. This place was my glorious reward for myself on a particularly hard week, a day in which I just couldn't get things right or the once a year my mom and I went out for breakfast. The biscuits themselves are to die for, the butter ones especially so (seriously, they just add liquid butter to the inside of your biscuit). I've been known to order for or five biscuits for breakfast on trips back home (I don't get there very often) and completely gross out anyone who has accompanied me.
