Love this chicken spot! Really like this place's aesthetic! The artwork is so cool and eye catching. The service here was phenomenal. Even though I placed my order at the kiosk, in every interaction I had with the service team they tried to go above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my experience. The food was amazing too. The waffle fries are by far the best waffle fries I've ever had. Every fry was so crispy and perfectly seasoned. You could literally hear the crunch with each bite. Absolutely loved my visit here today! The waffle fries were some of my favorite fries I've had in a while. They were so crispy and the meal came with a pretty big portion. The original sauce was really delicious - I do wish it had a little more flavor though but still really good. The chicken bites were so crispy too. I loved the seasoning. I got mild but i think I might try medium next time. The bites could've used a little more seasoning but they were still delicious & had a good amount of flavor. Every employee we talked to was so nice and helpful. I really appreciated the customer service there. I've been wanting to try this new chicken place in town and decided today to order delivery. So I didn't get to catch the Ambiance. (They use UBER and the fee is $8.50) I did end up downloading the app and there was an offer for buy one get one free valid until 12/5/2025. There is no code to apply at checkout, it only says, when ordering click on available offers to apply the discount. There wasnt anything at checkout that I could click for available offers, only an area to insert a promo code. Before I proceed, I want to first express these are my opinions and my opinions only. I want to be honest with my reviews through my tastebuds and personal experience ONLY. The delivery was quick, so shout out to the Uber delivery driver. Presentation was good for delivery, however I would have preferred the sauces outside of my box of food, rather than on top of my food, like maybe just placed In the bag. Upon first glance the sandwich looked delicious and the fries reminded me of Arby's curly fries (the way they look with the batter they use) Looks can be decieving........ I regret to say.... My first bite of the chicken sandwhich unfortunately, was very rubbery and the bread was very soggy. Oh, no!!!! So I went in for a second bite, same thing...I was so worried it was raw......but it didn't appear to be. A little disappointed to say the least. So being me, I have to look these things up.....off to Google I go "Why did my chicken breast have the texture of rubber" (don't laugh at me). The results- overcooked or woody breasts syndrome. I even tried to tear it apart with my hands and it would twist and turn without breaking apart. The fries did taste like Arby's curly fries. Which I rather enjoy. The pickle on the sandwich was soggy with too many seeds. Reminded me of a picked overgrown cucumber. I didn't really taste the slaw being too disturbed by the chicken. ...our first trip... won't be our last!... my friend got the rice bowl with spicy garlic sauce and chicken wings with the Hott sauce... it did not disappoint!.... the dipping sauces was a must!... I had the Chicken tenders that was extra fresh... now I am a mild taste kinda guy so... the mild was perfect!... the waffle fries was hot and just enough seasoning..... I am so thankful I was able to try this place before it gets busy. This place will be busy, because the food is good. The staff were super friendly upon arrival. They have kiosks you can order from or directly from the cashier. I ordered the wings with fried okra. Let me tell you...the sauce on the wings was so good. Paired with the hangry sauce and they have a winner. The best part of my meal was the okra. This was some really good okra! I didn't want to waste an ounce of this food and asked for a to go box to take my leftovers home. My daughter got the chicken and waffles with Mac and cheese. She said it was really good. I was fortunate enough to head here on opening day! This place is gonna be booming. The staff is absolutely focused on Guest service and the owner Mark was walking around and so engaged with everyone there. The team was patient and explained everything nicely. I was a little nervous because I don't like spicy food, but they have no heat!!! I ordered the 6 wing combo. I had okra, waffles and wings with the sweet BBQ sauce. Let's start with the wings. These are nice sized wings and they were crispy and nicely seasoned and then shaken in the yummy BBQ sauce. Prepare to be messy if you don't get a dry rub. These were lick your fingers good. Next up we have the okra. I'm a sucker for fried okra and this was among the best I've ever eaten. It was super hot (temp) and the perfect crispness. Not overly cooked and not mushy. A big YES from me. Try these with the hangry joes sauce. Yes!! Ok now for the waffles. They tasted like crispy funnel cakes with powdered sugar and syrup on the side. Lastly, we had the loaded fries and they were excellent as well. Can't wait to go back again! Oh, they are working on a discount or freebie for local colleges which is great. This place is a nice take-out place. Not really a place to sit down and eat in my opinion, but I wasn't looking for that. The workers there were very polite and nice, and as a socially awkward person, they were very patient with me. They have the soda dispenser for people to use, which I always like because I like to mix other drinks together. It's not the best thing in the world, but it's not trying to be, and that's what I like about it. I'd go here again, definitely over Dave's hot chicken. Though Dave's does taste better, Dave's is too expensive and the wait there is too long. When I went into Hangry Joe's, the service was relatively quick, and the food was still pretty good. I tried the chicken strips/tenders/fingers (whatever I don't know the difference), and they were good. The only non-positive thing is that the ambiance is not that much to write home about, but I don't really care about that too much. I give it 10/10 stars on the service, 5/10 stars on the ambiance, 7/10 stars on the wait, and 8/10 stars on the food, and 7/10 stars for the cost (a little bit less than Dave's). I had food DoorDashed , when it arrived it was soggy , not spicy what so ever and over priced ... the sauce was like zaxbys sauce but with less flavor. And the fries had no salt and 95% grease.
