    Little Cheeseburger
    Ruby L.

I placed an order for delivery yesterday. I had no issues with that at all. My concern was with the little cheeseburgers that I ordered, which there were two. I asked for grilled onions on both orders, and grilled jalapeños on the one of the two. The onions were barely cooked, definitely still super crunchy. But the worst was the jalapeños. They were cut extremely thick (see photo) and couldn't have been thrown on the grill for more than 30 seconds. Considering the Garland Groh location is the only option in Hagerstown, you need to do better Five Guys. Please don't offer grilled vegetables as a topping option if you aren't going to grill the vegetables.... Another thing I should mention - both burgers were cooked somewhere between medium rare- medium. Definitely not how I like my burger cooked, especially when ordering to-go. All around, 2 thumbs down for this particular order...

Dinner for two, they make really good burgers here

This location right off Duel Highway, next to Weis Markets seems to be a better 5 Guys, for some reason they make the burgers better. Milk shakes are better, bacon cheese burger rock here. Tonight it seemed to be a all girl staff and they rocked it with excellent service, attitudes, and burgers to perfection Bathrooms extremely clean and staff nicer than others. Other 5 guys should take notice!

French fries exceptional. They brought my order to me sitting at table with broken ankle. Hard to walk. No particular level of ambiance.

Square cut, perfectly seasoned, but if you insist there's an array of condiments including vinegar.

The venue can be overwhelming, with lots of choices. One section of the menu was dedicated to hotdogs, one section is dedicated to non-hotdog entrées, and also Appetizers, desserts, and drinks. The dogs here are amazing! I loved the Chicago dog, but when I had my a bite of the Big Mac dog I wished I got that one too. Then we had the pastrami dog making it a three dog night. The fries are also especially delicious because they are crunchy and battered. My little one had a kids meal that came with fries and he was forced to share. With any hotdog, you get your choice of beef,/chicken, or veggie. We went beef all the way, and it was a great choice. The dogs are split and grilled on a flat top, and maintain all of their juicy goodness. And the toppings just enhanced everything. If you're a hotdog purist, ketchup and relish or mustard and onions would also make for perfect dogs. The staff was friendly and super accommodating to a feral toddler. For three hotdogs, a kids meal, I need rings, and drinks, the $40 price felt like a bargain. Great quality and value.

Husband got the foot long coney dog and my son got a sausage with some kind of sauce on it. I eat about 2 hot dogs a year so when I say it was delicious, I mean it. Now the bad. My 4 year old grandson got grilled cheese. It took forever for the food to come out. Like forever forever. He ate like nothing bc he drank his whole drink while we were waiting as we had been at the park for a couple of hours beforehand. I know, not unusual for a little guy. That's not the real problem. I got a side of onion rings and it was almost $5 for like 6 onion rings. Ketchup in little packets... not cost efficient and annoying for us. Had to track down waitress to get husband a second beer and me a first. There was no air conditioning and it was so hot in there!! AND THE WORST THING OF ALL... WHEN THE BILL CAME THERE WAS A 20% INCLUDED GRATUITY FOR "LARGE PARTY", which was not discussed. First of all, it was 4 ppl. That is not a large party. Second of all, this was not mentioned by staff. I see this sometimes with a group of 8 or more and it is usually noted in a menu somewhere or mentioned. But 4 people is not a large party. My husband and I both worked in the restsurant industry in our younger years. We get it, servers need to be taken care of, but come on. BEWARE. I would have gone back for that hot dog even with the sloooowww service and just not gotten a side, but that automatic gratuity thing is ridiculous. Customer lost.

With it being mid-week we didn't think we would need reservations but the bartender that seated us quickly let us know since we didn't have a reservation we'd have to sit at a bar high-top. It wasn't said in an inviting way and the vibe from this particular employee/manager/owner (??) unfortunately permeated the entire evening. Because we were seated in the bar area, which was entirely fine with us, we overheard frequent swearing in general and what should have been more private convos between her and various wait staff as they came to retrieve their drinks for their tables. We advised the waitress it was my friend's first time eating German food and my friend asked several questions just to seek clarification. The waitress didn't engage with any enthusiasm, so I proceeded to guide my friend at that point. The food was a solid 3, warm and decent, but nothing special and not much seemed to be made in house based entirely on the appearance and taste. Was the experience awful? No. Would I return? Also no. It was adequate for two folks that were hungry, but it was not the experience we had envisioned or hoped for.

This review is for Orange Julius / Dairy Queen at the Hagerstown Outlet Mall Food Court…read more.. What do you do when you get to the outlets at 10:30am on a Saturday...not quite lunch time but 4 quasi-hungry ladies want a snack? You find the Orange Julius!!! After a bumper to bumper one hour car ride (WHY did we decide to go to the outlets on the Saturday before Christmas???) 3 sisters and their mom were only interested in finding the nearest restroom so we headed straight to the food court. Walking the gauntlet you are greeted by fresh made pretzels drenched in butter, pizza sold by the slice, all types of meat sold on a bun and even french cookies that melt in your mouth for $2 a piece...and we walked all the way to the opposite end of the court because MY MOM (I'm 41) wanted a frozen orange drink (Growing up in the 80s and working at the mall, I am very familiar with the frozen orange drink that taste like actual orange juice but better because it's icy and creamy...nom nom nom...) So we are greeted by a friendly teenage who probably woke up just minutes before but he was so patient and sweet! Too many choices!! Do you order dairy queen soft serve in a cone or in a blizzard? Do you order a burger or hot dog...and now they serve french fries!! How about a fruit smoothie made to order??? Makes me chuckle that we finally order 2 juiluses (is that the plural form? lol), diet coke, a corn dog and nachos...if you are going to snack at the food court, go all out and get the processed cheese (did my uber-healthy Mom really just stop my sister from throwing out 2 tiny chip pieces and a glob of cheese so she could finish it? LMBO!!). Were we at the county fair or were we at the outlet mall? Who cares!! Great start to a Saturday of spending crazy money!! Bring the kids and introduce them to a small, yummy part of your childhood!!
