First time ever at a Five Guys, absolutely shocked that this chain remains in business, the food was good, not great. Nothing even remotely equates to the price.3 burgers, 3 drinks, large fries, First and last time. I fell for the hype

    Awesome outdoor dining

The burgers and fries are wonderful. Service at this location in up and down line the tide...good days and bad days. My regular size burger, medium fries and large drink was $16.78! Expensive!!! We did a burger joint get so expensive? Service was good, food was great but the prices are way too high and are out of alignment with the other fast food burger joints...

    Filling up on peanuts.

YOU PAY A LOT FOR THOSE PEANUTS.... I have no excuse or anyone else to blame for coming here and spending $16.45 for a cheeseburger small fries and a drink. I knew the deal going in. Great food ... MAN, just mouthwateringly delicious food. I'll be honest, I come here sometimes because I know there will be plenty of empty tables unlike certain other places that provide value. I appreciate diverse business models, what I don't appreciate are pricing structures that are just bat (youknowwhat) crazy. When I brought my family here and we paid $40 for three people (sharing drinks) and had so much food and fries left over we never ended up eating it, that was one thing. To pay what I paid and end up filling up on peanuts afterwards is bloody insane. Now that I've said my peace, I like this place as one to bring your family as it's clean and near the beach, and my family loves the fries especially. There are a lot of wonderful touches but I cannot ignore the fact that it's impossible to eat a full meal here on a lunch budget. It's a burger and fries place, ok?!

I've heard amazing things about this place so my bf and I finally checked it out. I heard it was better then in and out. Now I'm not a huge fan of in and out like outta town people are so I wasn't expecting much. Well the burgers were fantastic. Looks just like an in and out when you walk in with the red and white tiles. They serve peanuts which was odd to me but ok since there thing is they use peanut oil. They don't just have burgers they have dogs too!! The burgers you build your own. It is pricey if your just into a plain burger but if you like fancy mushroom and other stuff on your burgers this is the place. You can have one or all the toppings no extra charge. The Cajun fries are delicious and never ending just get the small honesty and one for two people is good!!!! Customer service at this place was hit or miss. Some employees were awesome some hated their lives. But overall positive experience will come again.

After church I decided to stop by five guys in Imperial Beach. I'm giving them a three stars, only because when I ordered the bacon cheeseburger the cheese wasn't melted all the way. The veggie sandwich my fiancé got the cheese was melted all the way. I also ordered the regular Cajun fries they were good. The Oreo milkshake pretty good. Overall it was OK for lunch.

They just threw my fries in the bag not even in the cup...
    Tony T.

First time coming here, first they just throw the fries in the bag with the cup upside down. Not to mention they forgot to add condiments on my burger, not worth 45$ for 3 burgers...

Magic in between two eggy buns!! I love it here.

I will say, the guy who took our order was very nice, so no complaints at all about the service. Unfortunately, the food was really disappointing. We both ordered the El Swagador burger and neither of us liked it. The meat lacked seasoning, and the pork belly tasted off to both of us. I ordered mine without the serrano chilies (thank goodness), because my boyfriend kept them on his and said it was way too spicy to even enjoy. I also ordered an Oreo milkshake, but it was pretty bland and lacked flavor. The only things we actually enjoyed were the onion rings and fries. For almost $100 total, we left feeling like we completely wasted our money -- especially paying $26 per burger and not even finishing half of them. The restaurant also didn't feel very clean and lacked any atmosphere or vibe. I really don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately this experience missed the mark for us and needs a lot of improvement. Sadly, we won't be back.

I'm waiting for my OG double burger with no cheese and only raw onions l. My son Jordan is getting the fatty melt on Texas toast. French fries with mango habanero sauce on the side. They are still the same ownership so I will have to make a visit to their other location soon") I am not going to compare their burgers and just go with their own style and take. They finally bring them to us. So the burger patties are like crumbled into the burger bun and doesn't hold up as well. There is a slight char going and patty is a little dry. I was not expecting the raw onions to just be cube cut and not round slices either. I don't know how how I feel yet but my son likes his Fatty Texas Toast Patty with the aoli sauce. Maybe try something else down the line. At least I tried it. Am not comparing to others l.

There is parking on-site and on the street. You can enter the parking lot either through Sea Coast Drive or Imperial Beach Boulevard. We arrived at 9:30am on a Saturday and found plenty of open parking. Upon walking in, we were greeted by a friendly staff member and seated ourselves in the patio area. A server came over right away, took our drink order, and brought us menus. She refilled our drinks before they were empty and brought us boxes once she saw we were done. She was attentive and anticipated our needs. She was always friendly whenever she stopped by our table. My Denver omelet came with home fries and toast, for a small fee I substituted the toast for pancakes. The cheese on my Denver omelet was burned. I prefer the cheese to be melted and stretchy, as it adds flavor and texture to the omelet. The burned cheese took away from the overall flavor of the omelet. The home fries are always delicious - slightly crispy, well-seasoned, with sautéed bell peppers topped with queso fresco. The pancake was dry and didn't have much flavor. I've been here many times before, and the pancakes are always delicious. The breakfast sandwich was okay. The tomato was a bit overwhelming and made the sandwich slightly soggy. The breakfast burger was tasty and made just as ordered. The mini chocolate chip pancakes were really good, definitely on the sweet side. The portions are big and you will definitely have leftovers. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Both areas have many TVs showing different sporting events, making it a great place to watch a Padres game. I came down here because I have a friend from up north who's come down here a few times and suggested this place. He said it's one of his favorite places when he's in town, so that's saying a lot if it's a top place for him and the family. He was right. This was a juicy and incredibly tasty burger. I'd say it's up there with Amboy in Chinatown (Los Angeles) or the newer Amboy spot at Haven City Marketplace in Covina. This place is a gem. Ordering can be a little misleading; hence minus one star. This is a food court setup, and there are menus for each restaurant in these individual stands that are placed on top of a snack wall. If you're going to order from Rey TJ Burgers, it'll be to the left of the main restaurant/register that's directly in front of you when you enter. The main line is Mexican (and seafood I believe?), so I was standing for a while until a lady realized I was holding the Rey TJ burger and called me over. Ordering was easy. Rey TJ's didn't have drinks, so I hard to order from the Mexican food line. The cucumber aqua fresca was AMAZING. Definitely one of the best experiences since I've had since I've moved to the San Diego area. I'm loving it here more and more. I've also had the opportunity to practice a lot of Spanish which I absolutely appreciate. The people here are amazing and much warmer than many of the parts of Los Angeles. Buen dia!

It's a food court with its own shared parking lot. When we went in there was a huge line to the door. As you go up the line, there are multiple menus placed to your left in which they have multiple different food options to choose from. Gave me anxiety as I felt rushed coming here for the first time. A line gathering up behind us, ppl in front of me, didn't want to be rude reaching over ppl to grab the menus. So just waited as we moved up to look at them. There's so many options it's overwhelming. Once we got to the front, we were trying to place our order only to find out we waited in line for nothing. The burger line was the empty line to the left which there's no signage or nothing to explain. We did order 1 adobada taco, a horchata, & a sprite. The girl forgot my sprite, told me to go order in the left line for burgers. So when I was placing our burger order, I asked for the sprite I never received. The cashier for burger spot said I have to go back into the other line to order that. Confusing af. Luckily it had 2 customers & not a line out the door like when we first arrived. I ordered the smoked brisket burger, my son the Russel cheeseburger, & my hubby the "burgers & fries." My son did not touch his burger, literally went to waste. My husband said his was ok. As for my brisket burger, I did not like mine at all. It was super salty. It came with a meat patty & CHUNKS of cubed brisket? When I got smoked brisket I assumed it would've been like a pulled pork texture. Quite the opposite. They were chunks of cubed meat. I didn't finish mine. We took everything to go & didn't eat the leftovers once home. We paid around $50 for some less than mediocre burgers that I could've done better at home. I liked that the food court had a self serve salsa bar with plenty of salsas, ingredients, etc. The presentation of the food was good! But the food just wasn't it for us. Probably would never return tbh. Also, when we were wrapping up - the server was hovering over us to finish so she could take the boards/fry basket back. Not like we're gonna steal them. Lol. But I get it, maybe previous patrons have put them near the trash or thrown them away. As the burger place may be its own individual business aside from the food court.
