Unimpressed. My son has celiac disease and 5 guys is recommended for Celiac's because of the use of foil on the grill and the fries are fried in their own fryer. We went yesterday to each lunch and because of my son's medical condition, I asked the cashier to confirm the fries were gluten free. I can't just trust what people on the internet say. This is his health and I need to physically speak to the people preparing his food wherever we go. The girl at the register was clueless so she asked the people working on the food. No one there knew anything about gluten (both celiac and gluten allergies are covered in the food handler's test) and everyone had an attitude that I bothered them with my questions. I couldn't believe how poor the customer service was. There was no one behind me in line so there is no reason the employees couldn't have been more understanding and patient. Fast food workers want $15/hr!?!? For what!?!? Apparently it's to just sit there and do a mindless job because having any amount of decorum or customer service skills is apparently out of the question. We left, went up the street to In and Out Burger where my son had a gluten free meal prepared by caring employees who put in the extra effort to keep him healthy. read more

OMG THIS PLACE IS LOUD! The music and all the yelling that went on at the Five Guys in Mira Loma completely STRESSED me out! The burger itself was good but the french fries were limp and greasy and they don't have any ranch dressing to dip them into. nice location, clean, friendly people, etc. I have nothing bad to say about any of those things... I just dont care for the burgers themselves. Their handburgers taste very homemade, which is refreshing, but I can cook a better burger at home for more people for less $. Thats the other thing...i dont mind paying high prices for food that is REDIC yummy, but this was just average to me, so paying $21 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 sodas just didnt do it for me. Ok so i have seen several reviews comparing this place to In-N- Out.. Some good and some bad but.. This place simply doesn't compare to In-N- out at all. That being said they still have a very good burger. The cheese burger was very fresh, hot and juicy, the fries come in a large portion enough for you to share and they serve the food old school in play brown bags and aluminum foil.. As others have said they have tuns of peanuts to snack on. ( be careful if and have bags all along the wall. ) The staff was fun and friendly. I would go again if i were in the area but would not go to far out of the way.. Overall this place is good but it is not in-out so if you want in n out then drive to the one in Norco or ontario . read more

Had to see what the hype and the long lines were all about. Great burgers and fries. It is a little expensive, to feed my family of 4 cost about $40. You do get a large amount of food (and free peanuts). It's somewhere I will probably go once in a while but not visit often. Went here a couple weeks ago. I thought, what was the big deal? The line was out the door. There was a loud East Coast vibe coming from the 5 guys behind the counter, however a bit overdone. There were free peanuts, but why was the floor so clean? I bypassed the peanuts because I would have thrown them on the floor and didn't want to make a mess. Couldn't tell if I was allowed to toss them on the ground or not. Hamburgers were tasty, bun was very fresh but got soggy before I finished the burger. Suggestion: Toast the bun. Fries were pretty good, but I love INO's! I will return. I would give this establishment a 3.5 stars. read more

Ok ok so everybody has been talking about this joint so of course I wanted to try it out.. Ordering is alittle confusing if its your first time.. I ordered the bacon hamburger with bbq sauce sauteed mushrooms and all the extras.. Burger size is ok but looks can be deceiving.. My little burger filled me up.. I prefer the cajun fries over the regular ones.. The great thing about this place is it taste like homemade food and not like Styrofoam! Ive been twice you get what you pay for .... My first visit, I had high expectations based on word of mouth. I was disappointed with the noise level and the wait. Not to mention the burger sticker price!! And that price doesn't even include French fries! I don't know, I'd rather have a Red Robin burger w/ bottomless steak fries... Or, in this same parking lot is the best cheesesteak sandwich at Philly's Best. For $5 you can get an awesome sandwich! So I finally got to try Five Guys. I would give this place 3.5 stars. I felt like it was a little greasier than In-N-Out, but I really liked the fact that you can chose from a pretty large list of toppings. This is great for those pickier eaters :P They also have free peanuts which I thought was kewl. The most awesomest thing? The soda machine! It's touch screen and you choose what drink you want by touching the picture! Another interesting thing is that they tell you where exactly the potatoes for the fries came from. My housemate bought me dinner so I don't remember how much it was exactly, but I remember it being a bit pricey for what you get. I might come back, but I think I prefer In-N-Out. read more

With the amount of flies there were inside, I don't know how this place can have an 'A' rating. Just like every other Five Guys place I've been to--the burgers are good. However, they're comparable to In-N-Out just with extra topping options for double the price! So if you want a change from your normal 'animal-style' double-double come here. My husband and I will be back for more without a doubt!!! Ive been wanting to try this place for the longest, especially since everyone I know hyper this place up. Well I have to dissagree with everyone on one thing, In-n-out do not stand a chance with 5 Guys. The fries are 20 times better and the burger's are 100 times more amazing. 5guys burger's tastes homemade, and the beef is a perfect size (small burger). The fries are perfectly cooked, not to soft or to crispy. I love the fact that I can customize my burger the way I want it with no extra charge. We were in town for a golf tourney. After a practice round I brought my daughter here. I'm not a burger eater but I am a fry eater. She LOVED her cheeseburger. We both LOVED our fries. They had a rad soda dispenser with Caffeine Free Diet Coke!!!!!! The guys that work there were really sweet. The floor was covered in peanut shells but that is because they give you free peanuts while you are waiting. Not sure if they do this at all of the locations. They have the calorie count next to all of the items on the menu. This def puts a dent in my fry enjoyment. read more

I decided to come here since it was close. I've been to five guys before and have not been disappointed, however today it has changed. First off, it was a very hot today and it felt like they had no air conditioning whatsoever. Second, the staff working there, which was only four people were constantly shouting at the each repeating the orders. They were shouting so loud that you couldn't even hear the music. Third, the fries were hard and a bit overcooked, which gave it a bizarre taste. Food was good as usual. Fries were a bit over cooked, but good overall. Between customers, the two people on duty just chatted behind the counter rather than cleaning off tables. Once a third employee arrived, the girl who had been working the register came out to push in chairs and collect napkins. She didn't wipe down any tables and she took napkins left by customers on tables and put them back in the new/fresh napkin stack. So gross! I saw them in the napkin holder and a couple had visible ketchup stains. Don't recycle disposable napkins from tables! You never know what a customer does with them. read more

Go to habit burger, or maybe even McDonalds. I ordered a bacon cheese burger ONLINE, they had the order printed, extra cheese, extra toppings etc. Why did my burger have no cheese, no bacon, and none of the toppings I ordered? $9 for a burger by itself, and cant even get that right? this place recently opened near my work, had to head over for lunch to see what all the east coast hype is about. there were tons of people, which i expected, thankfully there is a single file line leading to 3 different registers to make things more efficient. a major perk of this place is you can get as many toppings as you want, free of charge! the downside to that is it makes the burgers extremely messy and slippery. the burger taste itself was nothing that will knock your socks off. all the toppings tasted very fresh, especially the grilled mushrooms. i ordered the hot sauce on mine, but unfortunately they also drowned it in ketchup and mustard so i could not even taste it. their fries/cajun fries are good, and they cook them with the skin on, which was refreshing. they do not use a PA system to call the numbers, which makes it really difficult to hear your number called because its already so loud in there. so it kind of forces you to stand at the counter instead of sitting down and waiting. i'd probably come back once in a while, but i'd rather head over to in-n- out to satisfy my burger cravings. read more

I love the cajon fries here. I think that's all I would go for. The burgers are nothing special and I could probably get it cheaper somewhere else. Our new favorite burger joint (fast food style). Great service from clean cut all american burger slingers. The food is great, the service is friendly. Kind of reminds you of an old burger joint in the modern era. If you order a double cheeseburger be prepared for a good old fashioned burger that is messy and gets everywhere. Second time trying Five Guys. This place is good! Had the double bacon cheeseburger and medium fries. The guy said the medium is good for two, but i love fries and i thought i could finish them. Wrong! Burger was juicy, delicious, and dripping with oil, no more than a juicy burger should do. The burger didn't get all over the place or fall apart (much). You can customize your burger with your favorite toppings - i had grilled mushroom, tomato, raw onion(sliced to little diamond shapes), mayo, and pickles. I knew i was in for a heart attack but oddly enough it was really well balanced with all the toppings and did not make me bloated or sluggish after. The salted fries were good. They were better than in n out fries. Overall i think a double double meal is the smarter choice if i had to compare. In n outs portions are more sensible and their burgers may have the advantage with their perfectly toasted buns. Without a drink my order was $12 (ouch). I was amazed that after stuffing all the fries i could eat into my belly i still had a BAG full of fries that couldnt fit into the serving container. I really liked that since i hardly ever leave leftovers and now i have something to enjoy later. Oh yeah and free peanuts! Decided to give this place a try after getting a good Amex deal. I ordered a regular cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, jalapeño peppers, and BBQ sauce. My wife ordered the cheeseburger with grilled mushrooms, grilled onions and mustard. I don't think I've ever tasted a burger with so little flavor despite all the toppings. I was expecting it to have so much flavor since it had so many options for toppings. The cajun fries were good tho, really flavorful. But the burger was soggy and just really unappetizing. I love burgers and it's rare for me to eat one I didn't enjoy. My wife said she felt nauseous after a few bites cuz it tasted greasy and underseasoned. The portions were huge though, a TON of fries, the burger looked insanely big. If I had paid full price for this..i think it would have been close to $9 just for the burger, I would have been REALLY sad. Nothing spectacular about this place. The fries were limp and the cajun fries were oddly lacking in flavor somehow. The burger was just sad. The meat was OK. I couldn't really taste it over something that tasted like worcestershire sauce. The onions were OK, but the mushrooms reminded me of canned mushrooms, and the buns were just sad burger buns you could buy at albertsons; no texture, poor flavor. Ketchup tastes like a watered down off brand and made the burger soggy and sloppy. I came away wishing I had gone to in-n-out. Definitely not worth the super long wait. read more
