Fries are really good, but I prefer Moo Yahs just a bit. However, Five Guys is closer to the house. Burgers are better than most chain competition, like Fuddruckers and Chilis and such, and certainly better than typical fast food, but are not the best in town. And Peebo's endorsement had nothing to do with my opinion of this burger chain. read more

We finally decided to try it to see how it stacked up against Tookies. It didn't. Didn't stack up against Whataburger just a block away. Forget the ridiculous prices -- for any amount I don't see what the attraction is. Undercooked burgers on soggy buns, two tons of fries "seasoned" by apparently shaking all-spice on top of the bag and crossing their fingers. Terrible food. Ridiculously priced. read more

We waited 15 minutes for two burgers and an order of fries. Our burgers arrived half cold and half soggy (bottom half) and the fries had clearly been sitting in the bag as it was fully greased soaked when they were handed to us. My husband and I went to the Five Guys at Bay Area today and it's not as good as the one in League City. I have eaten at both a few times and there's a definite difference. Today our burgers were so greasy the buns were shot and we ordered the cajun fries like we always do, but they've done something different. It doesn't seem like there's any salt in the seasoning but the seasoning was also extremely heavy and very powder-y! I mean VERY powder-y! Like weird! I was disappointed. read more

Read about how great this place was here so I went with the family after work. Burgers had no flavor. We ordered our burgers a different way for each person and there was no way of telling what was what in the bag so we had to open each one and see for ourselves. Burgers are greasy and the meat lacks flavor and so are the fries. It is expensive as well. Will not return. read more

One of my worst Five Guys experiences yet. We came here late at night, so there wasn't anyone else in line when we ordered (and not that many others in the place). We ordered 5 burgers, two of them being the bacon burgers. When we got our food, and bit into our burgers, several of us noticed that (1) they had forgotten toppings that we had specifically requested (and was showing on the receipt), and (2) they had forgotten to put bacon on any of the burgers. We went back and the staff gave us what was missing but didn't seem too apologetic about it -- simply said that they forgot. Fresh ingredients make better burgers, and Five Guys does a really good job. It's better to order a single patty burger, as a 2nd patty causes the bun to disintegrate halfway through eating it. When they first opened, EVERYTHING as far as burgers and fries were homemade. They now use store bought buns. Everything else I assume is still homemade. But I prefer the homemade buns better. They were slightly sweet and melted in your mouth. Ever since they stopped making their buns, I choose not to go there any more. It kind of reminds me of Jack and the Box now. The burgers could be seasoned a lot more. Otherwise it's not a bad place. But it's not my cup of tea. read more

From all the hype I thought their burgers were going to be out of this world, but I think I actually prefer just any fast food place. The burgers are huge (2 patties) but their toppings have no taste (just bland) and their burgers just don't have the licking your hands juiciness like I like them( and I even added BBQ sauce). Also on the night we went they were out of onions!! I have tried both their fries seasoned and original, and I must say not impressive. The fries are too thick and not crispy enough for me personally, in-n-out fries are way better, but we don't have one in TX yet. For quick, cooked-to-order burgers, Five Guys is very good. I love the huge portions of fresh french fries, and when you find a place that serves them with malt vinegar you know they're gonna be good! They also have just about any topping you could imagine, including barbecue sauce, A-1, grilled mushrooms, and jalapeños. Service at this location has been excellent and friendly recently! Definitely worth a try. By the way, the music is always loud at Five Guys. Louder than it needs to be, but I guess that makes the experience more exciting. read more

I have eaten countless numbers of burgers from all over the U.S. in my days, but they all have a difficult time measuring up to Five Guys burgers. Why? Because they are juicy, do not charge extra for condiments/veggies, they are well cooked, have fresh ingredients and they leave nothing else to be desired. Five Guys Burgers and Fries in League City, TX was awesome. Their burgers are classic, fresh, and delicious. I LOVE their fries too. The pickles on the burgers were top notch, and they don't over salt their fries. To top it off, their fountain drinks were GREAT and we were able to order online! I love Five Guys! The price point is a little higher than what I would like to spend on a regular basis, especially if I'm planning on ordering a drink and fries with my burger, but it is a great treat once in awhile. The quality of the food is excellent and watching how the staff communicate and work together shows me that they are putting care into preparing the food. My burger always comes neatly prepared and does not leave a greasy mess and they always give you more than enough of the fries. Aside from the food, I enjoy watching the staff. They always look like they enjoy their job and work together to make sure the customers get a great meal and experience. The staff is constantly cleaning to keep the space clean and while doing so they stop by your table to ask how you are doing and if you need a refill. I have not been to other locations, but this one is excellent for overall experience. read more

We went there on a Sunday night about 8pm. Place wasn't very busy but still took over 15 minutes to get two burgers and an order of frys. The staff was not very friendly. Immediately after my family ate my son and I became sick. Later my wife vomited and hasn't felt well since. Won't be back. I work right by there I have some long days 12-13 hour shifts and when I get a chance to get something to eat it needs to be quick I go in and out most the time since we get busy I love that there fast and Greet you as soon as you walk and have a very nice staff. Well last time I was in such a hurry that when I was at my car door the bag broke and fries all fell so I go back in to buy some more they had already started making me new ones and told me it was ok not to worry about.
