First time having lunch in the new location. We forgot we ate at its previous location in Webster closer to interstate 45. Was not busy on a Wednesday morning 11:30 AM popped in and was greeted and seated immediately. The waiter took our drink order on the spot. We kept this first visit pretty simple wife got a cheeseburger, plain and dry as she always does with a side order of tater tots. I went with the old-fashioned cheeseburger all the way and added bacon, and my side order was the thin onion rings. Everything came out fantastic and fast. The tater tots were cooked exactly like I like super crispy. I rarely eat tater tots out because not every restaurant cooks them properly. The thin onion rings were fantastic. Had a very nice little flavor to the batter came out hot and crisp. What I like the most about the burgers were the buns. Almost a buttery texture to them and they did not fall apart like you get on some burgers. The wife got a strawberry shake to go, and it was insanely rich. It was a meal in itself. We will definitely be back again soon to go a little deeper into the menu. I hear that their chili dog is fantastic. That's what I'm gonna try next week. This is a great little family owned restaurant in the Friendswood Webster area. It's a gem for sure. read more

3rd times a charm!! Another great meal at this local spot. We had been spent all day exploring different attractions in Houston during our 33 year anniversary. We decided to eat dinner at a local burger spot we only discovered a couple months ago. Pop Top here in Webster, Texas has a friendly staff and they are always clean and ready for business. I finally was able to get here after about a year after hearing about it from my Uber driver. I'm so disappointed in myself for not making time to get here sooner. It was absolutely delicious! Service was great, the waitress had a smile on her face the whole time. She was on it, and you could tell she enjoyed her job! It was a smaller place but it was clean and inviting. The food was served hot and fresh. We opted for the Mac-a-tak burger, the Oh-lay burger and split the Best of both (tots and fries) The only thing I think that I could say somewhat "bad" is maybe having a specific fry sauce or even fries tossed in a good seasoning. Don't get me wrong they were delicious but I believe that could take them up even another notch. But it's for me that's for sure and we can't wait to get back there to try more burgers! I tried Pop Top Burger for the first time recently when I was in the area. From the outside, the store doesn't look like much, but it's a cute little shop on the inside. You seat yourself, and a server will go to you. There are so many options to choose from on the menu: starters, sides, burgers, gyros, drinks, desserts, andThe portions are large, and the the price is super reasonable. The best part is that everything turned out super delicious. It was so hard for me to pick a burger because everything looked so good, and I ended up going with the Farmer Choice Burger combo with sweet potato fries as the side. This burger was huge and stacked with proteins, and the flavors were perfect. The sweet potato fries were also perfectly crispy and seasoned. I also got the Chilada Dip, and it was so creamy and tasty, and the portion was huge. Pop Top has now become one of my favorite burger spots of all times, and I would love to go back to try their other burgers for sure next time I'm in this area of town again. read more

The dining area was simple but very clean, probably due to the fact that the wait staff worked quickly and efficiently to clear off and wipe down tables as soon as a guest would leave. And the staff! We ordered Togo online, I got the razz burger , my boyfriend got what he thinks was called the farmer burger it had bacon egg sausage and he added a hashbrown, his came with plain fries and then he also got a side of chili cheese fries, and the fried Oreos, EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! Honestly, I've had a few friends rave on it, so i was excited. The result - pretty good! The onion rings on the burger I ordered were several inches tall on the menu picture. On my burger they were flat! It wasn't worth the price, but, maybe I just had the wrong burger, because several friends rated it highly to me. I tried the old fashion Jr. burger with pepper-jack cheese, grill jalapeños, and French fries. I could tell the patty is freshly made, the burgers are cooked medium-well and have the perfect char, the French fries were crispy and well seasoned. I've had Pop top three over a few weeks and this place has really earned its stars. In summary great service, fresh food (grind meat in house), great takeout packaging, just all around a top notch pick. The venue is small, cozy despite being in a commercial strip center. The woman who took my order and I talked for a bit and I complemented on all the options and it turns out she was the owner who made the menu! Great person to give that feedback to! My wife loves the Chopped jalapeño, they really don't skimp on the toppings, that sucker is loaded with flavor, and she added bacon to make it even heartier. Despite what you'd expect, the burgers here aren't nearly as heavy as other burger restaurants, the patty has an airiness to it that has robust flavor without feeling like a grease bomb. The fries are of average thickness but fried well, they kept warm on the 20 minute drive home and just as with everything else full of flavor without feeling too heavy or salty. The thin onion rings had a decent amount of batter on them, they're a great pick as far as onion rings are concerned but when I'm already eating beef that much batter feels over the top to me. To be clear I think they're well made for what they are. The hash tag burger is one of my new loves in the area. So messy. So decadent. The gravy, egg, hash brown just give this homestyle country flavor complementing the beef without competing for tastebuds somehow. All the components really worked well together, and even with me being a pretty serious eater it took me two meals to eat this burger. That never happens. I would ask for light on the gravy next time but I'd definitely order it again. Aye yai yai burger was AMAZING- is a mess to eat but wow it was packed with flavor- fresh jalapeños were spicy, refried beans were not too much but have a nice heartiness and texture, that queso surprised me but made for a nice thing to dip fries in, and the jalapeno ranch really just pulled it all together. On my third visit I tried the Texas style cheese steak, it was definitely good, but I much preferred the three burgers mentioned above over it. To be honest it was about a week after the second visit and I just wasn't craving a burger so I figured I'd try something else off the menu. It actually felt heavier than the burgers, and for most restaurants I'd give it a fantastic review but my expectations for pop top are so high that this sandwich didn't quite reach the same level. I'll be coming back for more, I really enjoy the diverse menu and have been pleasantly impressed with this local gem! read more

The Pop Top on FM 528 has halal beef (not sure about the chicken) burgers. We ordered both to go & reheated them. They tasted really good. Both patties were juicy and delicious. I preferred the mushroom Swiss over the old fashioned. You have to ask for halal and a clean grill. I'm definitely ordering from here again. read more
