If I could give this place zero stars, I would--but yelp requires at least one. Had the worst restaurant experience at the Five Guys in Lehi today. Not only did they mess up my order, but the way the situation was handled was completely unacceptable. I specifically ordered my burger with no onions, and halfway through eating it I suddenly tasted onion. I lost my appetite immediately because I really dislike onions--this is exactly why I asked for them to be left off. If this had been the last bite, I would've just let it go. But the onion was in the middle of the burger, so there was no way for me to know earlier. When I went to speak with a staff member to explain the situation, he was extremely rude. He raised his voice at me and said, "I'm not going to do anything for you. It happens! You're only two bites away, just finish it!" Telling a customer to "just finish it" is not only disrespectful but also concerning from a food safety standpoint. When I asked for his name, he refused to give it and pointed me to their Q&A board--clearly trying to avoid accountability. I had to ask another employee to find out that his name is Aksel. Mistakes happen, but the dismissive and unprofessional way this situation was handled is unacceptable. I'm lucky I don't have a food allergy--otherwise this could have turned into a serious situation. This experience makes me seriously question whether the staff here are following basic food safety SOPs if they think "it happens" is an acceptable response. Very disappointing experience. read more

Five Guys did a great job with takeout service. I ordered my food over the phone. When I got to the restaurant to pay for my food, the employee let me know my fries would be cooked right away. I only had to wait about two minutes for my fries to be cooked. I appreciated that they waited until I got there to cook me fresh fries. The soda machine had the QR code that you can scan with your phone, if you don't want to touch the machine. You can use the soda machine with your phone to select drinks and dispense your soda. I thought this was awesome! I hope it something they keep around. I never like to touch the soda machines because I feel like they are always sticky wherever I go. My burger was fresh and juicy. I got a little hamburger with lettuce & tomato no sauce . The burger was good but the tomato was not ripe . I ended taking it off my burger . I got a little Cajun fry . This was not fresh or hot. The fries tasted old . Usually you get a ton of fries this time the order was quite small . We love they fry sauce ! I was disappointed in the fries they are usually my favorite . I don't mind the grease (it's expected) but they were soggy and had bad flavor. I also hate how they literally burry your burger in the bag of all your fries. I decided to try again and unfortunately the same results. First, you need to get the regular because the patties are so thin, you won't taste meat otherwise. Second, the burger honestly doesn't taste much better than a McDonald's Quarter Pounder but is 5x the price. Toppings are nice for the selection. The fries are pretty good but were so over salted that it was hard to eat very many. Decor looks mostly like a vintage bathroom. There are SO many better burgers in the area. Came to this location around 6:40 tonight. The guy taking our order made a mistake in what we wanted which we corrected before we paid. My husband had asked for no grilled mushrooms but he put it in as no grilled onions. Then when the cashier handed us our soda cups he put his whole bare hand on the inside of one of our two cups. Kinda gross. It took the employees SO long to get our food out. Maybe even 20 minutes and the restaurant was pretty dead. Then when we finally got our food there were still grilled mushrooms on my husband's burger. But we had somewhere to go so we didn't have time to ask for a new burger. The place overall just seems to be run by a bunch of teenagers. We've never had this experience at the Orem Five Guys where we usually go. But the service at this location is not great. read more

Somehow I hadn't been to this one previously. As regular readers know, all 14 of you, I like this chain quite a lot. It is an epitome to me of what a chain should be, which is consistent and delicious, nearly every time. It also has a guiding principal I like and good modifiers for a burger available. They also have shakes and some other crap, but I never get that. Just my tray of nuts, my burger and something from the Freestyle machine (and if the location doesn't have it, they better have Coke Zero and if they don't have that, they need to reconsider their place in the franchise). That aside, this place does a very nice job. Fries were actually crispy, which is borderline amazing for this chain, and there was the usual articulated dumptruck bed full of them. Burger was very nice, more than normal and the patty a bit thicker than usual. They were a bit overly light on the A1, but all the rest of the stuff was well and intact and they did have a Freestyle, so overall, this place hit on all cylinders. This is definitely one of the better locations. If you want a burger my way, choose either single or double patty, add cheese if you want it, bacon, mushrooms, jalapenos, A-1 sauce and get thee face full. Sometimes I will also add green peppers and less frequently a little splash of lettuce, but that's more of an option; the other toppings are standard. read more

Meaning at 10 pm and ordered a cheeseburger with extra patty and they did very well and food was good but they didn't give me the extra patty I paid for and didn't get to notice till I drove home which is about 10-15 mins away. We placed our order online in anticipation of having a later dinner and when we arrived to pick it up the burgers were ready and the fries were just going into the oil. If you're ordering for curbside pickup, you need to know three things: 1. They never bring food out to the cars in the pickup parking. Everyone gets tired of waiting and ends up going inside. I've ordered several times and have never had the food delivered. It needs to be relabeled "to go" not "curbside pickup". Perhaps the staff should be educated as to what that actually means. 2. There are a lot of burger joints, but Five Guys has perfected the classic American cookout burger. This is Fourth of July food. Every time I come to Five Guys I question why I don't come more often. The burgers are fresh and flavorful. Everything at Five Guys is customizable so you get exactly what you want. The normal hamburger and cheeseburger come with double patties so I always order a little hamburger and it's plenty. The manager was a complete jerk. My wife asked for the fries to be "extra crispy" since their fries are always soggy. The manager said that "everything they cook is well done" so he wouldn't fulfill the request to have the fries done extra crispy. Well, what do you know. I hadn't been here in a long time, and just always went to In-N-Out for my burgers fries and shakes since that place is delicious. But I'm glad this place opened because there's something about bacon on a burger that is just so right. They are extremely generous with the portion of the fries, which are also delicious. If you order a large plan on it feeding at least four people. Unless you are all obese, in which case you should stop eating here. I'm also so glad that they *finally* out shakes on the menu. I get the Oreo crumble one which is delicious. They're a lot thinner like we do on the east coast (i.e. No spoon required), but I don't mind them that way. Definitely going to be back here a lot. So I like Five Guys! Better then the average burger place. This is a new nice building with the same look as all the other Five Guys. Great location though! When I went in I kinda waited for awhile. Seemed like all the guys there were slacking. I was the only person in like and ordering too awhile and getting my food took awhile. It really seemed like they were slacking and not really workin. Lacking bacon. Seems like when you pay extra for the bacon you don't get very much. Hardly could tell. I was loaded on veggies which I liked but little bacon ends in disappointment. Overall it's a good place to visit and get a burger but not the best. I like Chubbys more but Five Guys would probably be my second fav. UPDATE: I've been there a few times since. It appears it may have been "just opened" troubles. Since my first visit they appear to be more on point. First time I've been there. Cashier was nice and even Abe me a sample of their milkshakes. I asked for grilled onions but I had grilled mushrooms on my burger. They asked me how my burger was I told him about the mistake and they were very apologetic offered to make me another burger but I was in a hurry so they took my name down to make a right the next time. This establishment is usually clean and the food is always consistent. Locally, I believe this is the best burgers in town. We eat here frequently. My biggest complaint is the soda machines. Coke never taste good coming out of these multi flavored mixing soda machines. If your wanting a great burger today, this is the joint I would recommend. read more

I came in there late at night, they were very accommodating and made me a fantastic dinner. It look like the son of the owner was working hard to keep the please clean.
