First things first... taste and quality of my food was excellent which is why I lend a 4 star vice the 3 I intended to leave. I feel a need to caveat a bit; my order is a bit off, so its more understandable when things aren't quite right. In this case it wasn't 'quite right'. I ordered the JCW Crippler (dig the spirit of the name) which is a fully loaded triple patty beast. 3 x 1/3 pound patties with all the goodies... I asked for that to be a double (being clever) intending 6 total patties. The man behind the drive through was confused and said it was a tripple... I told him I was aware of the make up and I wanted it doubled.. he was a bit taken aback and said he'd not heard of it before... That's fine, I said it was a different order. So we sorted it out and I conveyed no bun, no fry sauce and sides of mayo and mustard. I get my order back to the hotel to discover I was short one patty and no mustard. Being a drive through order, a stacked aisle, I didn't fully check the order: rather, I grabbed and went. We usually go to the one in South Jordan. The Lehi location was pretty terrible today. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came at 3PM, and the place was mostly empty but there was plenty of staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the burgers and most of our fries in about 15 minutes, but at 28 minutes from when we ordered, we still didn't have a chicken bacon salad and cheese fries we ordered. When I asked why I was told the salad was almost ready, although no one in the kitchen appeared to be working on anything. And he told me he already gave us the cheese fries. I told him he did not. He clearly didn't believe me. They handed me the salad, which was ready and sitting for who knows how long, and eventually decided I wasn't lying and asked for an order of cheese fries. The food was all good, eventually, but I can't see any reason for how long it took for those two items and the fact that it seems like we would never have gotten either if I hadn't gone up to ask where they were, even though he told us when he brought the first bunch of food that the rest was coming. read more

I was in town for business. This review is about this location and this specific occasion only. I suspect on average this place does better. I went on a Wednesday (6/29) evening a bit before 1800. I walked out to my car with my food at 1843. My fault, I ordered wings at a burger place, however in my defense they are on the menu. I perhaps wrongly, assumed that they were prepared at all times for someone to order them- hence they would be ready to jump to the task of serving them in a reasonable time frame. I stood there after paying and literally watched a hundred burgers/fries/shakes etc come out and get served. In the end, the wings were not that bad, although a bit overcooked. I suspect had they taken them out five minutes earlier we could have all been a bit happier about the visit. I got spicy and they were, that nice sheen on the forehead hot. Pro Tip: Wrap the carrot sticks/celery in foil and serve cold...partially steamed vegetable sticks are not a thing. I don't think this had anything to do with it. I am not accusing anyone working that day of any foul play. I however can't help but think about it because I can't help but think about it. I used to be a JCW regular but in the last two years, genuinely don't think I've had a singular good experience. Service has been non existent, wait times are always 20+ minutes (for just my wife and I) wrong orders or poor food. I really wonder if they got sold or how many managers they've changed recently. So I have been to another jcw location, but I came with my friend and she has a favorite order and I literally feel like it changed my life haha. It was a Thursday night about 7pm and was pretty busy, but nothing crazy. We ordered online thinking it might be quicker, but it wasn't. We wanted to add to the order so we actually ended up going inside. The workers we interacted with were pretty nice. The cheese fries with a ranch on the side was good, plenty of cheese. The turkey bacon and Swiss is the showstopper. I am not a big fan of Swiss, so I picked American cheese instead, but the key for prime enjoyment is to dip it into the ranch (that you can order with the cheese fries). Unbelievably delicious and I am craving it again as I write this up haha. This sandwich has plenty of meat and lots of flavors. Kind of messy, but totally worth it. The cheeseburger was for my son, it was nothing special compared to the sandwich. It was a little dry, but did the job. Also gotta love the fry sauce option, it is a really good addition. read more

I'm sitting at the drive through currently in front of the pick up window now. We have been at the window for 21 minutes with no explanation. My wife and i ordered a chicken sandwich and I ordered a fish sandwich and one order of fries. We have no clue what is happening. My best guess is someone had to go catch the fish. If I hadn't been charged before I pulled up to the window, I would've driven off a long time ago. There's no excuse for anything to take this long, and when I tried to get some understanding of what was going on that they couldn't tell me anything. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, but will gladly tell everyone not to come here. Update - we finally received our food after 27 minutes with no apology or even concern. My sandwich had likely been done for 5-10 minutes at least, so that added insult to injury. I hate giving bad reviews, and as you can likely see from my account, I don't give them. When your in-laws are in town and your father-in-law's favorite restaurant is JCW's, you go there for lunch. It's almost a given in the marriage understanding. Nothing wrong with that, I like me a good burger and fries! We pulled into the parking lot and noticed that there was a pretty big line in the drive thru. But when we went inside, we were able to walk right up to the counter. The young man that took our orders was pleasant and thorough. I had not planned on ordering a shake, but the picture of the mint shake convinced me to try it. So I ordered a mini. The soda and condiments are all self-serve. Everything was sparkling clean-no sticky floors or trash littered about. The tables were also pristine. Our food came out pretty quickly. My "mini" shake was enormous! (My wife ordered a small and hers was even more gargantuan.) I had to discipline myself to eat my food first, then my dessert. I made it halfway. The burger was soooo good. The mushroom burger is definitely one of my favorites but all the other burgers I've tried is great too! They have nice service but food did take a little to come to us. JCWs is my go to burger place. Their portions are huge and everything tastes so fresh. I love their Hawaiian burger and ranch bacon cheese burger the most. Their side options are a salad, fries or onion rings and because they have salads you can get lots of different sauces for your fries and onion rings! If you haven't tried the ultimate fry sauce yet, you should! It's their BBQ sauce with mayo and it perfectly compliments their onion rings or you could try them with blue cheese! Their cheese fries have grated cheese on them and are easily enough for 2 people to share and go so well with their ranch! They also have a turkey bacon sandwich that I order with avocado and on sour dough bread and it hits the spot every time! They also have thick milk shakes that are huge! I usually only get a mini because it's about all I can handle. They also sometimes have fresh chocolate chip cookies! The upgraded kids meal is not on the menu but you can request it. It's about $11 for a smaller version of one of their burgers but includes a small fry and small drink. JCWS "small" sizes are more of a medium compared to other places since everything here seems to be a larger version. The burger had an ample amount of bacon and jalapeños on it. I like to request ranch dressing instead of fry sauce for my fries. I love their ranch dressing. It's more of a runny ranch dressing than a thick and creamy one. The kids meal is more than filling for me. I usually can't eat my entire regular size burger here and even struggle with the kids size. They definitely give you a large amount of food, which makes you feel like its equal to the cost you pay. JCWS is more on the expensive side when it comes to burger joints. read more
