I really like Five Guys, but why are they always so stingy with condiments?
    Brett N.

Why 4 stars? Because this is a great guilty pleasure. --- --- --- I get Five Guys a handful of times a year when I'm having serious comfort food cravings. This was one of those days. My go to order is a bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, lettuce and BBQ sauce. But most importantly, a "little" Cajun fries is an absolute requirement. A little is the largest portion of fries you could ever imagine. It's hard to picture how many fries you would get with the bigger portions. But aside from the size, I love the cajun seasoning and wish it was universal for all fries. Here are my two pet peeves: 1) I visited March 27, 2022. It's clear they still require employees to wear masks, which is just preposterous. When these people have to stand over a hot grill all day, I cannot imagine how uncomfortable it must be to wear a mask. And for what purpose? They do nothing and no customers wear them, so it's just optics? At the sacrifice of the employees? It's just gross. 2) This is universal no matter what Five Guys I have ever visited. I always ask for BBQ sauce to dip my fries into. They fill the dipping cup up to about 15% capacity. I specifically asked for 4 of them because I knew this would happen. Sure enough, it did. Why are they so stingy with sauce?? Other than that, Five Guys is definitely one of the only chain restaurants I enjoy and actually crave from time to time.

8 employees and I'm still waiting for a cheese burger

Wondering why the world needed another burger chain? I did and still do. 5 Guys offers a Burger with Two patties and a "Little Burger" with ONE patty. Who wants little? So, I paid twice as much for the regular cheese burger with all toppings. Great Marketing! It was messy, with double burgers sliding together fighting back. No big deal. Neither was the experience.

Burger was OK but you would think for $16 you would get great tomatoes. Not the case. Also, the regular drink is $3.00. Family of four with fries you are pushing $80.

A double cheeseburger with absolutely no cheese and no burger. Seriously. We ordered three of the same, but this one was empty.

Q: How many guys does it take to screw-up a lunch order. A: Apparently Five. First things first; Five Guys probably has the best fast-food burgers around. Having said that, the amount of times our orders get screwed up is astonishing. Today's adventure involved ordering 3 identical double-cheeseburgers and having one of them be completely missing both the meat and cheese. It wasn't late. It wasn't a complicated order. It wasn't busy. ...It was just Five Guys.

I think they are a bit overpriced. My burger and fries were better than McDonald's but not thrillingly so. They were just...meh.

All the hotdogs on the menu are $8 each except the French Dip $9 and the Carolina $10. When making it a combo (add FF and a drink) add $7 more. My total was $23 for 2 hotdogs, a drink and a FF. The NYC had onions and sauerkraut, the Local had blended queso w/ground beef. The Philly has peppers, onions and provolone, and the Chicago had veggies. All the dogs tasted good cuz they're Nathan's, the bread used was fresh, FF were tasty, the wieners could be hotter (temperature wise) upon serving. And there could be more ground beef in the queso on the Local dog. The sodas have the good ice...soft airy crunchy. The menu offers other items, chicken tenders, sliders, grilled cheese, frito pie, salads, deviled eggs, fried cheese curds, fried pickles, etc They have several beer choices, frose', wine and frozen margaritas (made with wine) Connected to restaurant is their snow cone place. But the unexpected highlight? The French fries--they were some of the best I've ever had! Definitely worth the stop, and we're glad we made the short detour before heading home.

You walk up to the front and you order which is really easy inconvenient. The staff was nice but not over friendly at all. And when you asked for something extra, they made you feel like you were bothering them. To me that is not good customer service My friend got the double meat Rodeo burger and I got the regular cheeseburger. We both got the combo which came with french fries and a drink. Our order took about 12 minutes to be completed and they called our number and we picked it up. We did have to ask for a fork and napkins as they were not out or available for us. At first look, everything looked really good so I was really excited to try this. Unfortunately, the burgers were super greasy. I personally do not enjoy eating a burger and grease running down my arms. That is just my personal opinion, but the burgers were really greasy. The french fries tasted stale and not very fresh. They were edible, but I would've liked to have had fresher french fries that were really fresh. The drink drinks were actually very good and very fresh and perfect on the combination of syrup and carbonation. I think I would possibly try this establishment again and try their hotdog, but as for the burger, they were way too greasy and weren't anything real special.

Elite Week at Portillo's!…read more Stopped by Portillo's in Katy for Elite Week, and of course we had to see what the hype was about! We went with the burgers, fries, and Dr Pepper floats. Baby, that burger was GOOD! It had that delicious flame-broiled flavor that I love, and the fries were cooked perfectly. Hot, crispy, and exactly how fries are supposed to be! Now...the Dr Pepper float? It didn't quite do it for me. It was way too thick, even after we asked for it to be made a little looser, and it was also much sweeter than I expected. I love a sweet treat, but this one was a little too sweet for me. But the burger and fries definitely saved the day! I'll absolutely be back because there are several other things on the menu I want to try. Burger: Fries: Dr Pepper Float: Not for me! We ordered a hotdog, polish sausage, Italian beef sandwich, french fries, queso, dr. Pepper shake. The hotdog, polish sausage, french fries, and queso were really good. They pushed the Dr Pepper shake on me (I really wanted the chocolate cake shake). I took three sips of the shake because I really wanted to like it (I like Dr Pepper and I like ice cream) but I didn't want to torture myself so I threw it away. The tables were a tad greasy but the restrooms were clean. I would come back for the hotdog and Polish Sausage!!!!

First off, the outside as well as inside of the establishment is beautiful! When you walk in, the restaurant is beautifully decorated; it's a cross between a fast-food establishment and a restaurant dining-style. I believe another Yelper also mentioned that fact as well. One can order in two options: using the self-kiosk, or going to the counter where there is someone there to take your order. Having both options available is rather convenient. For my food, I got the Famous Meal #1: Italian Beef Sandwich. However, I came prepared: it was going to be personalized to be the perfect meal. FIRST: make it big ($2), then add sweet and hot peppers ($1.98), mozz cheese ($.89), and ordered slightly wet. For my sides, I opted for the large onion rings ($4.99), and in addition --- this is A LOT -- I got the famous Chocolate Cake Shake (additional $6.19). If you were going to get a normal meal, it would probably cost you about $14.57. Mine -- with all the add-ons? $26.88. Take that into consideration. How was the food? Portillo's is definitely the experience many Chicagoans have heaped about. The "dipped" Italian Beef Sandwich was generously portioned, and if I had anything to comment-on --- it would be adding more sweet + hot peppers to the sandwich. Besides that, everything else was spot-on. On to that famous milk-shake: if you're a first-timer DO IT. How does it taste? It honestly tastes like a "real" version of a frosty from Wendy's --- taste wise. At least we know what's in this milkshake: Ice Cream, Milk, and a slice of chocolate cake. It was thick, creamy, and hit the spot. All-in-all, I totally recommend Portillo's if there is a location near you! It's definitely an American institution and is worthy of the hype.
