Tried Five Guys for the first time ever today. I was excited about this new burger place; I've heard fantastic things about them. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. To start, the place is LOUD. Unnecessarily so, it seemed. And they weren't even that busy; only a handful of tables with customers and two guys in line in front of me. Secondly, the prices are absurd. After I ordered my burger, fries, and drink, the total was around $12. I wasn't yet irritated by that, though; I figured they had something to prove at that price. The burger was just as good as I've heard. The bun itself was incredible; the burger was well-cooked and tasty. And I initially really liked that they included any toppings you wanted for free; that is, until I saw the final price tag on a meal for one person. For that much, they better include the toppings. Finally, the fries: very disappointing. I ordered the Cajun fries, wanting to try something new. Limp, undercooked, and overseasoned. They gave me a lot of them, but I couldn't finish even a fourth of the order. The fries were just not very good. I'll give them time to get into their groove, and I'll try them again in a few months. Hopefully the fries will improve (and the noise will die down as they finish training people). I don't have a lot of hope for those prices, though. That will certainly prevent me from becoming a regular. read more

The only reason I tried this place was because they were ZAGAT surveyed that's really deceptive advertising as they don't actually have an award plaque in their restaurant. Also, they have a lot posters advertising good reviews from, at a minimum of, a decade ago and none of the old reviews are for that particular establishment. I only order a burger and a bottle of water. I was expecting an eye popping flavor but was totally disappointed. Also, the bun was soggy just like they are at a McDonald's. Over all I rated my burger on the same level as every other fast food joint but at nearly twice the price. read more

I have eaten at many different 5 Guys burgers in California, Nevada and Prescott Arizona one of the best things I liked about them is the cook the burgers fresh when you order them, the Prescott Location which I visited a couple weeks ago on a Saturday, about noon the place was medium crowed, normally I would expect a 10 minute wait for the order to be ready, so after I place they order I went to wash my hands, and that took a couple minutes, I came out to find my other family member's seating at the table and our order was ready, and I thought the fries were hot and as good as ever but the burger was not right it was dry and warm , but not like it was fresh off the grill, and I thought what up with this, 5 guys going down hill too, after we eat and I left, we talked about the food and mentioned to my wife and Granddaughter it wasn't as good as I remembered, then it dawned on me that the burgers were most likely precooked and warmed up kind of like McDonald's , (except 5 guys are at least twice the price) that explained to me why the burger was dry not fresh as usual, and why it was ready so quickly. Dear Five Guys, I have been living overseas for about 4 years and missed the Five Guys expansion into my home state of Arizona. Upon a recent visit to Flagstaff my dad convinced me that Five Guys was far better then In & Out and that I needed to try it. Now, the one thing I miss the absolute most being overseas, is pickles. I love pickles. A burger without pickles is honestly one of the worst things that could happen to someone who loves them as much as I do, and who does not have the opportunity to eat them. I currently live in a world, where sweet pickles and gherkins are all there is. It isn't pleasant. That being said, upon my arrival at Five Guys I ordered, and requested extra pickles be on my burger... if possible. The guy said it was absolutely fine, until his co-worker quickly approached and said these distressing words, 'We are out of pickles.' Now in my mind, having a burger place, there are a few things that you can't run out of, the main one being pickles. My hope of having a delicious burger were crushed by the mere fact I couldn't have the traditional burger I hoped to, the all American burger with pickles. I traveled over a thousand miles to experience a burger with no pickles. The only burger I managed to have time to eat while on vacation, was consumed with great sadness. Something I never thought I would say about eating a hamburger. I ask that in the future, you please ensure you never run out of pickles, so no one has to be as disappointed as I was, sitting there, wishing I was at any other burger place, knowing that they might have had some pickles for my burger. This is a new location for Five Guys. The staff still needs work. Ordering was not smooth. And when I picked up my order, I asked for pepper packets as none was in the self-serve area. The employee told me Five Guys did not offer pepper, but he could get me some cajun season from the cooking line. WTF? Five Guys has competition in Prescott from In-N-out, about a mile way. Essentially the same order at In-N-out would have been half as much as Five Guys. I won't be going back to Five Guys...nothing compelling to justify the high prices. read more

Always polite and make my burgers just right. Bathroom always clean and dining area always clean. One suggestion: clean trash cans a little more often. Back in California our five guys has a much bigger menu, bummed they don't serve milkshakes at this location.

I love five guys. Their always so helpful when ordering and it's nice to know you can see then cooking your food right behind the counter. Their fries are HUGE. I ordered a large and it was the full cup plus about another half cup in the bag. The buyers are so big and everything is fresh and juicy. read more

I give them credit the place is very clean and they seem to be following Covid rules very closely. I grew up in AZ and remember Prescott as a tiny sleepy town. Not anymore clearly. So I give them a break knowing these towns where the people outnumber the places. But dang they are sloooooow. This is a kind of place that cooks to order. They don't make their stuff and sit it under a heat lamp. So if that's what you value this place is good. But if you don't have 20 minutes to wait for your order to come up I would pass on by. read more

We had a good visit. The burgers were not over cooked and the order came out just as ordered. It was quick. The restaurant was clean. So as far as fast food is concerned, it was up there with the better of them. We would come back again. read more

Five stars for Five Guys This place always prepares burgers perfectly. It should be a crime to produce such tender, juicy, flavorful burgers. The fries 3/4 of the time are to die for. The fact that they don't hog tiny ketchup packets like some "Golden Arched" places and actually have pumps for ketchup is perfect for a ketchup lover like myself. You can watch them prepare your food, another plus. Personally the only thing I think could be improved is the seating, the chairs aren't all that comfortable. And, on seldom occasions, the drink machines might be out of order on some drinks. All in all its one of my favorite fast-food places in the area. read more

We only go here if In n Out is too busy, and it's a sad substitute. The floors are either greasy, or sticky, and the food is way overpriced. 6 bucks for a little cheeseburger? REALLY? Must be made of gold. read more

It's a Five Guys....what more can you say. I understand that some people don't like their style of Hamburger...but it hits my sweet spot. Their fries are also always wonderful and they have a great fountain machine. The service was VERY friendly and really on top of things. read more

Follow up to my original review: Within 48 hours of expressing my displeasure with the noise and behavior of the staff at this location, I received replies from the regional manager via yelp, email and phone! He was truly apologetic, informed me that my complaints were not unique to that restaurant, and that changes had been made. Even included a card to encourage me to try again. I did today and the change was noticable. Music not as loud, staff friendly and smiling but without the antics that had gone on previously. The food, as I stated before, while not my favorite is still solid burger fare. Food still rates a just OK from me, but I am extremely impressed by the quick, professional response from their upper managment team. That alone will keep 5 Guys on my radar when I'm in the area. read more

This outfit has a very successful PR campaign, unfortunately the reality of the product is very disappointing. They seem to have tried to copp some good ideas from IN N' OUT BURGERS and a sub sandwich restaurant, but the results are mediocre. Delious every time. I never was a big burger person but now I am!! Fresh tasting ingredients nice patio area and huge portions. I always get the small cheeseburger because the regular size is way too large. Its a tiny bit pricey but very much worth it. Better than some sit down restaurants. read more

Used to be our favorite place to go the last time we were in there about a month ago the music was blaring so loud you couldn't even hear we asked the gentleman to turn it down he didn't. The last three times we've been there we've had a problem with either the food or the music too loud. My wife and I first experienced Five Guys on a trip to Scottsdale, we loved it and make an effort to return on several opportune occasions. When Five Guys appeared in Prescott we were very happy, and we still are happy with the local store . I'm reading the complaint about the volume of the music, to which I can generally sign on to - I haven't gone in a couple of weeks, maybe it will be better, I'd like the background a little quieter myself. I've never had any problems with the staff, since opening - I'm often taken with their helpfulness (and we're customers one or two times a month). Love the ingredients on the burgers (except how the cheese isn't really melted - but it's their style and distinction, I expect others are happy with it) and I've never had a less than above-average burger so the cost is OK (Carl's has potential, if only the actual product matched their commercials). The fries have never been my favorites (that's where Carl's wins) unless I get them well-done, and then I like them very much ... my most recent trip I had no problems. read more

Five Guys has great burgers and even better Cajun fries. Also the only place I've been to that doesn't charge you to add extra toppings such as Bacon. It is a bit pricey but they make up with it by loading up on the fries, offering peanuts while you wait and friendly service. read more

I wanted one of these in prescott as soon as i heard about this place a few years ago. It's more expensive than in-n-out which is almost literally across the street, but theres just something about the my usual order that keeps bringing me back. Bacon cheeseburger, sometimes with an extra patty, with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, grilled onions, mustard and A1 sauce, with a side of cajun fries (these are the bomb, super greesy and dank, check the bag you know im right). The amount of food is worth the money, the fries are a nice portion for the price. There are peanuts inside the store so forewarning to anyone with strong allergies to them, theyre littered everywhere and also in boxes free for your munching. read more

Didn't know they had a Five Guys in Prescott. Saw the place on our way into town on 3/13/12 and just had to stop...not disappointed. The regular (double patty) cheeseburger was divine...the meat was really good and tasty. I didn't need to add any salt which I always do on other burgers. The fries were delicious! Seasoned well; crispy and moist inside. The small order of fries fed both my hubby and me easily. I appreciate the girl at the order station telling us that the small order is enough for two. The one thing I think can be improved is the bun. It didn't hold up well with the double patty and the toppings..need something sturdier. It is loud which could be rather annoying. Hopefully they will turn the music down a little in the future. Will definitely return... read more

What's the fuss? Underdone limp fries and pretty good burgers that only come well done. Not worth the hype and wait. For $5.69 you ought to be able to get your burger the way you want....not well done only. With a very small menu everything should be great. Do not know how to time fries apparently. Staff was very friendly and the restaurant very clean. The Burgers, on the other hand, leave a lot to be desired. I've learned from various cooking shows, that you don't press down on burgers while they are on the grill. It loses a lot of it's juiciness. The cook pressed down on the burgers twice, once on each side, leaving them very dry. read more

Usually pretty good, but last time I was in (8/14/16), the bacon on my burger was very weird. Slightly green, very undercooked, and tasted absolutely terrible. Usually good, but the one experience has turned me off for the future. read more

Very sorry burger for the price. Ordered ours to go and really disappointed when we got them home and unwrapped them. Two dry patties and a few pieces of bacon. No lettuce, no tomato, no nothing but dry meat and bacon. Ordered two burgers, one order of fries and one small drink for just under $23. Could have gone to any other fast food place and had a much better burger with lettuce, tomato and it would have been about $10 less. Fries had so much salt we couldn't eat them. read more
