In the past we've had good experiences at 5 Guys (all over the country) but this one is really bad. To be fair, it's not that the food is bad, per se, but the service is abysmal. I believe they've tried to hire from the inside & move people up in the organization, but it seems that the current leadership at this facility needs remedial training. We ordered last week on their online system - and we sat in the restaurant for :15 mins asking repeatedly where our order was. The kid at the counter had the order from the minute we walked in - how come no one else did? When we inquired of the guy at the counter, he looked at us like a deer in the headlights! When we asked for the manager, he asked, "Why?" WTH!?! When we got the shift manager she really didn't express concern about our wait, and told us, "We don't cook the fries until you get here." It takes :20+ mins to cook fries?!? My wife contacted 5 Guys the next day, got another manager, who said, "Well, if there's something I can do, let me know." We are NOT going to ask for a free meal. We are not going to say "Get your act together." We just ARE NOT going back. Hey, we've got Bob's Burgers, Qdoba, Jamba Juice, Starbucks....heck, we could (we won't) eat at the friggin' McDonalds, even. But I can assure you - we won't give this 5 Guys another try. I called in an order during the grand opening week. It was insanely loud on the phone! The girl who answered was very polite and chipper. She apologized and took special care to make sure I could hear her and that my order was right. When I went to pick it up, I found out the same girl rung me up, kind of cool. The food is really good. I think its awesome that they offer online and phone in ordering. You can bypass the line and cut your wait time down to nothing. When they ask you how your day is going, they actually wait for an awswer. Five stars, five guys! read more

Fries bathed in salt....... Overpriced burger. Never going back. Don't know why the ratings are so good.

Burgers really are great better than other fast food places, a little more expensive but we'll worth it, burgers are a nice size and unless you extremely love fries a medium fry is big enough for 2 people. The peanuts on the floor are part of the restaurant culture so don't knock on that. My biggest complaint is the tables are always sticky but the food is good enough to warrant the table for 10-20mins also it's ALWAYS loud so be wary of that going in read more

The prices may seem a little spendy but you get an awful lot of food and the food is great, I was expecting this to be a fast food joint but to my surprise I was wrong, it is a fun place to go to with family and friends and I would only come here if you're very hungry, you get a lot to eat at this place and the staff is really cool, so glad Tri-Cities now has a Five Guys! read more

Burgers and fries were excellant. But I went in for a late dinner and with only four people in front of me I expected fairly quick service. Half-an-hour later I was getting frustrated. One of the best burger places in Tri-cities. Shakes are very good. Real French frys even the small is pretty good sized.

Ate at Five Guys for the first time today. I had the Cheese Vegetable Sandwich (wish they would have had a veggie burger patty) - it was ok, the mushrooms were definately out of a can, they were slimey and disgusting. My boyfriend had the Little Cheeseburger. He is a big burger lover and said it was a 3/5. We ordered the Cajun Fries and wish we would have gotten the regular ones. They were coated with so much Cajun powder it was almost difficult to eat them. The restaurant itself is cute and the employees were nice and friendly but for the money I will probably go somewhere else next time. read more

I can't believe this place is getting the reviews it is. I paid $10 for a burger and fries. I got a double burger instead of a single, with both patties very VERY overcooked and had no seasoning. Really simple order of a burger with mustard, ketchup, and mayo. They didn't put the mayo on it, even after the guy taking the order asked and confirmed in three times. The french fries were, again, very over-cooked and under-seasoned. The place was filthy and smelled bad, with debris from peanuts all over, including tables and counter tops that were not occupied. I get that they're supposed to be a peanut-shell on the floor type of place, but it looks like no attempt is made to clean it from opening until closing, and why are peanut shells all over the counters with the napkins and ketchup? Disgusting, over-cooked and under seasoned food, filthy environment, incompetent workers. Just awful. read more

This is my first time ever being at a 5 Guys. First impressions walking in was well, they sure did not spend much on decor. It is very basic and all over the walls are signs praising themselves. I thought, OK, they must be good! The day we went in it was about 92 degrees outside so at first it seemed cooler in there, but after awhile it seemed warm in there too. I wondered whether their A/C was working. The line moved fairly quickly. We ordered the regular burgers not realizing those were the double burgers. We also ordered a large fry for two of us to share. We munched at the table on some peanuts while we waited. That distracted us on how long it took. I understand they are freshly made, etc. We were NOT impressed with the two fancy soda machines. There was no ice in either one of them. Warm soda- Yuck! (They did give me a refund on my soda) Also, the machines were out of over half the varieties of soda. The burger was really good! I prefer a charbroiled burger, but it was tasty. I was disappointed in the fries. I guess I was expecting crispy fries. They were not at all. They were soft and limp. I did not see where they had that much flavor either. We had way too many for the two of us, but for $5 I guess you would expect a lot. I guess I just prefer crispy fries. I also did not like how the tables in there were all crowded in together. Though the place was only half full of people it felt like we were all setting on top of each other. And, lastly the music is blaring in there. I don't mind loud music, but not if you are trying to talk. All in all, I came out of there disappointed. All the hype just did not shine thru for us. I doubt we will be back. I wish so much they had brought a Smashburger in instead of a 5 Guys. They are sooo much better for the same amount of money. read more

Decided to try 5 Guys again as my initial review was not glowing. Decided to just do the cheeseburger (2 patties) and skip the fries and drink. Brought my tab down to 7.00 so I still think the place is spendy. The burger was fresh and not overcooked and the topping were fresh. Not seasoned enough for me. The problem was the bun. After a couple of bites the burger just disintegrated. Others have complained about the small, cheap buns as well. They are like those small, Sunday picnic buns trying to contain 2 pattie, cheese, tomato, lettuce etc. they need to provide a bigger, better quality roll. I wrapped it in the foil wrap and didn't dare set it down for fear of the soggy bun exploding and having to ask for a plastic fork to finish my lunch. Sat outside to try to avoid the noise but no luck. It blares trough the outside speaker so there's no escaping the tunes. So burger ingredients pretty good, the rest of the place still not so much. For about the same money without the drink you can get a great burger and a mountain of fries ( that aren't soggy) at The Pub, the Uptown Tavern or Dax's. And the bun holds up. read more
