Curiosity got the best of us and we decided to go to Five Guys. It was Wednesday and just before 5pm. Upon opening the door, we were hit with a noise level much like a rock concert. Between the loud music, the employees joking around, and the required yells for, "Order number 89!", it was deafening. The line moved just quickly enough to figure out our order before making it to the counter. All the employees were all friendly and helpful, which I hope doesn't go away any time soon. We are a family of six, and the order was almost correct. One burger somehow had barbecue sauce instead of ketchup. Everyone liked their burgers and agreed they were better than most places in Tri-Cities. The fresh cut fries were nice and not too salty. The soda fountain is a really cool contraption. Name your favorite flavor combinations and it's most likely an option. My 3 star rating is solely due to the noise level. If we could figure out the best time to go and not leave with a headache, I will be more than happy to eat there again. read more

Up front, I'm and In N Out fan but since I heard about 5 Guys and don't live near an In N Out anymore, I wanted to give them a try. Okay, check this one off my list. First off, this place is WAY too expensive. My wife and I could go to In N Out, get two double doubles,two fries and drinks for $14 total. For a similar meal, with one regular fries, it cost $21 at 5 Guys. On a value scale, this pretty much sucked. As for the food, the burger was pretty tasty but the bun could not stand up to the burger and toppings, essentially falling apart way before the burger was consumed. The fries were clearly real potatoes with the skin on, and they even had a sign up that tells you from where the potatoes were sourced, locally of course. They tasted like potatoes and since that can be relatively rare in a fast food joint (In N Out excepted) that was a good thing. They were under seasoned but still fairly tasty. We both had the cheeseburger with all the stuff that comes from the black list. It was tasty enough and it is nice you can choose whatever toppings you want, but for the price this should have been made from Kobe beef. To conclude, if there was In N Out anywhere even close, I would go there every single time over 5 Guys, hands down. Since there is not, I will look elsewhere for a tasty burger and fries, since I value value and this wasn't it, not even close. read more

Our first time at Five Guys on a Friday night around 9pm. The place was busy though we didn't have any problem finding a table for 6. We were in line for about 5 minutes then our order took less than 10 min to be ready. Beverage machines were most interesting with many combinations possible. Burgers were delicious with so many toppings to choose from. I liked the fact my bacon was crispy. Fries were just okay but still we ate every bits of it. I've been a big fan of Five Guys since they opened one in Austin, TX back in 2008. So welcome to the Tri-Cities GUYS and thank you for giving me a great burger option. My mom is in town visiting from China and we were out running errands ... this always makes me hungry! I suggested Five Guys and she has never been - and I have not been to this new one in the TC. As typical with Five Guys there was a long line - but it went fast and we placed our order. I love that I can have a great burger MY WAY. Lots of condiment/topping options - at no charge. I ordered my usual - because why mess with perfection - and a regular fries to share. I was impressed with their "drink" machine because it has like 100 drink options and it's all automated for you. I don't mind waiting for an awesome burger made to order ... so while we waited we got some of the salted peanuts they offer as a pre-meal snack! The place was busy but orders were flying off the counter. Once again Five Guys did not disappoint with their food, service, and cleanliness. Although we did not try this - you can pre-order/pre-pay on-line ... and show up 15 mins later and your order is ready!! So if you're in a hurry or don't feel like dining in - this is a great option. My bf and I have come here quite a few times now. Although I have to admit that I've not sat down and ate here. Most of the time it's pretty crowded, plus this is more of a "on the way home and I need to pick up dinner fast" option. It's fast food without a drive thru. It's not like red robin where you expect to sit down and have a dining experience. It's more like going to Wendy's and having a meal. I have their app. Yes they have an app. I love their app! It's extremely easy and fast. I saved what my bf and I want (we order the same thing every time so I have it under favorite) and I just hit buy and I head over after work. I'll get there in 10-15 minutes and walk straight to the pick up area (they already know it's me because this happens at least 3 times a month and my bf just use my acct anyway) and they'll tell me they're making fresh fries so it'll be about 2 minutes. I go and get a couple containers of ketchup and the order is ready. Sometimes I think it's even faster than a drive thru. I'm in and out of there in under 10 minutes. People who works there are really friendly and nice. They asked me once to ensure they're saying my name right and every time I walk in for pick up, they will say my name and tell me the fries will be ready in a couple of minutes. Even the MA in the dr office I've been going to for over 2 years still can't pronounce my name right. I digress. Food: the food is tasty! Way better than most fast food crummy hamburgers. I get a ton of toppings with my little burger though - grilled onions, grilled green peppers, grilled mushrooms, lettuce, and tomatoes. My bf gets the bacon cheese burger with grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, grilled mushrooms, lettuce and tomatoes. We also get the regular large fries. I enjoy their fries. We tried the Cajun fries but it's a bit too salty. They have the soda machine but I'm not a fan of soda in general. Overall we like this place. It's one of our top 5 options to grab a quick dinner on the way home. Service is always fast, friendly and right! They have never gotten my order wrong or missed anything. read more

So many people rave about Five Guys so I had to give it a try. I love that you can design your own burger without extra cost for the toppings. I'm glad that I went with a friend who informed me that the burgers come with two patties. I ended up getting a kids cheeseburger, which had just one patty and added pickles and grilled mushrooms. The burgers, while definitely better than fast food restaurants were just okay, but maybe it takes experimenting with the toppings to make the perfect burger. A small order of fries is plentiful (and can really be shared), but I was more excited about the roasted peanuts! Gotta have those again on my next visit! Burger was pretty darn good- all 3 of us felt the same. Lots of options for toppings that are included in the price. The fries- were AWFUL! Limp & Soggy. We put 1/2 the order in the trash. Said they were fresh potato's but they were smashed & soggy. The place is horribly loud! They have bags of "fresh" spuds piled around inside the restaurant- they should remove those and make more space for customer tables. Very crowded. Several seats not accessible because there were people blocking access to them- chairs too close together. Also, the staff couldn't reach them to wipe them off. Kind of a disappointment. read more

The best fresh grilled burgers in the Tri-cities! I love that a 'regular' burger has two patties because it fits my appetite perfectly. The quality of the meat and condiments is heads above any of the fast food chains and is totally worth the extra wait, but the mobile app cuts out all that 'waiting' nonsense. I submit my order just before I hop in the car and no matter how many people are in the place, my food is ready only minutes after I arrive. Went to Five Guys today for lunch. Line was short, service is friendly and excellent, place was clean. If you have a peanut allergy steer clear. There are peanuts in shell in boxes for you to munch on while you wait for your meal. The regular burger was too big for me. A "little" burger would have been plenty; it is a regular sized burger, while their regular has 2 patties. All the toppings are free including onions, tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, jalapenos, all kinds of sauces. The cheese and bacon do cost extra but the bacon was crisp and good. Burger tasted good, like a good home made burger. Nothing amazing, just a good burger. My daughter did not like her hot dog and wouldn't eat it. They are large and they split them down the middle and grill on both sides so they are almost burned. Okay for me but not for her. We got a regular order of fries to share and it was a massive amount of fries. Small would have been plenty for 2 people. Sadly they were soggy not crisp, too salty. The soda machine is very cool. First pick a soda (Coke, diet coke, powerade, sprite, root beer, fanta, ginger ale) then pick a flavor to add (lemon, lime, cherry, strawberry, raspberry, vanilla, orange, grape). The diet Coke with orange flavor was amazing. Free refills. If I go again I would just get a small burger and a drink and not bring my child, It is very loud in there. read more

My most recent experience with 5 Guys will more than likely be my last. Called in order at 12:30,which was not verified so was wrong (of course). Told 8-10 minutes. Paid at 12:46 and the lady who took my money clearly called out "Order for Eddie." While I was waiting for the order that was supposed to be done, a family of 4 came in, ordered and received their food. At 1:00, I asked about my order and was told by the fries cook that I "should have told him I was there." When showed receipts showing my name and how long I had been there, he just said "It happens" and walked away. I yelled at him to get my order. When he brought it, the bag was so greasy from the fries and they and the burger were cold. $20 for 2 burgers and fries and they were almost inedible -- not to mention no cheese!!! Go at your own peril. In the lockdown days, you will NOT have a pleasant dining experience. The only reason for the 1 star was that the lady at the counter was pleasant and offered to remake our sandwiches and the patty, while cold, was cooked properly. read more

Ok...so this was my first time at Five Guys. I was impressed. When we walked in there was no line...which was awesome! So the cashier must have known it was our first time at Five Guys, so she explained how to order and so we did! My friend and I ended up splitting a regular burger (BIG-2 patties) (we asked them to cut it in 2 for us as we were splitting the burger-and they did, no questions asked) and ordered a little fry, and a cajun little fry, as well as our large drinks. We went to fill up our sodas and found the coolest soda fountain ever! There were so many choices! Unbelievable! We got our food very quickly and it was amazing! Best burger I've had in a very long time. And their cajun fries...oh, the cajun fries...let me tell you, they are delicious. The regular fries are good too. The only downfall is that they only had ketchup...no fry sauce. I was kind of bummed, but the food was so good it didn't matter. It is a little spendier than other places I've been, but I guess when compared to Red Robin/Bob's, about the same price. In the past we've had good experiences at 5 Guys (all over the country) but this one is really bad. To be fair, it's not that the food is bad, per se, but the service is abysmal. I believe they've tried to hire from the inside & move people up in the organization, but it seems that the current leadership at this facility needs remedial training. We ordered last week on their online system - and we sat in the restaurant for :15 mins asking repeatedly where our order was. The kid at the counter had the order from the minute we walked in - how come no one else did? When we inquired of the guy at the counter, he looked at us like a deer in the headlights! When we asked for the manager, he asked, "Why?" WTH!?! When we got the shift manager she really didn't express concern about our wait, and told us, "We don't cook the fries until you get here." It takes :20+ mins to cook fries?!? My wife contacted 5 Guys the next day, got another manager, who said, "Well, if there's something I can do, let me know." We are NOT going to ask for a free meal. We are not going to say "Get your act together." We just ARE NOT going back. Hey, we've got Bob's Burgers, Qdoba, Jamba Juice, Starbucks....heck, we could (we won't) eat at the friggin' McDonalds, even. But I can assure you - we won't give this 5 Guys another try. Great food!! On the way home from work hubby stopped in and picked up dinner. He said the line was super long and took him over an hour to get our food. No complaints there as it was grand opening day and we were anxiously waiting for them to open their restaurant. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, fries and coke. I asked hubby to throw some grilled onions on mine. Hubby ordered similar hamburger with mushrooms. Fries were fresh and tasty but wish they didnt get soggy so fast. I come here for burgers and fries that is what they do and they do it well. They yes sir me and sure sir me right back here each time. And the best part is because they seem like they like it here so they will like you, at least during the order, and that is when I need them the most. One problem here ever in the 10-20 times I been here. It was loud chairs, metal on the floor made the place 2 x louder than it should be. But it is fixed and it showed they listen. I really like eating stuff and putting its elements on the floor and peanut shells are best. Sham in you who try not to because your stiffing some kid out of a good sweeping job. Five Guys love themselves also all their awards and stuff mentioned in the walls. But they don't fake me out with imagery of local events, or some American heritage crap pictures you see at Hobby Lobby all the time. Burgers really are great better than other fast food places, a little more expensive but we'll worth it, burgers are a nice size and unless you extremely love fries a medium fry is big enough for 2 people. The peanuts on the floor are part of the restaurant culture so don't knock on that. My biggest complaint is the tables are always sticky but the food is good enough to warrant the table for 10-20mins also it's ALWAYS loud so be wary of that going in read more
