First off, the burger was pretty good. As I've seen others mention, I'd put it on par with other chain "restaurant" (vs "fast food") burgers. What really stood out to me were the mushrooms you could add for no additional cost - they were quite yummy. The employees really shined as well. They were all incredibly friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the fries - which I have seen hyped to no end - were dismal. They were undercooked and greasy, which, frankly, is a rather disgusting combination. It is sad to see quality potatoes ruined by poor preparation. Finally, this place is *way* too expensive for what you get. Between the fries and the price, I cannot give Five Guys higher than two stars. Save your money and go to either Twister's or Bob's Burgers on Southern. read more

I like five guys for their many choices of toppings. Besides the traditional lettuce, tomato, and onion, they serve pickles, and so many sauces. A1, barbecue, hot sauce, mayo, all for no extra charge. Their burgers are cooked fresh and have great flavor. To me, though, that's just not enough to make an amazing burger. Their buns were very doughy. I prefer buns to be warm and crisp. It tasted almost like it was underbaked. I like their fries, but they don't blow my mind. Went inside to pick up my order and there was plenty of room to social distance, then a women came in with her mask UNDER her nose, puller her mask below her mouth to order, she was maybe two feet from the employee and he said nothing to her, she then proceeded to walk toward me with only her mouth covered so I was able to move away! Not one employee said anything to her! I am going to report this to the state, there are no markings on the floor showing dumb people like her where to stand! I do not appreciate the irresponsibility of the employees or management for not following the mandates and allowing this person to endanger everyone else in your store! I like that you can pick your own toppings for the burgers. Their buns dont fall apart, which is nice; however, it is a bit doughy and can stick to the roof of your mouth if you're not careful. Fries are limp and soft, but they do offer regular and cajun style fries. I like their cajun seasoning on their fries gives a nice kick. But their fries are extremely greasy to the point that the grease permeates to the outside of the bag they put your food in. Can I order a burger and fries and a triple by pass while I'm at it? J/k. For New Mexico goes, this isn't a bad place to go for burgers, especially for the price point; however, sorry Five Guys I think In N Out still beat you on flavor. Five Guys is always a hit in my opinion. I like the fresh, greasy burgers. I like the many and unusual toppings (bell peppers). The bread to bun ration is good. The ingredients are fresh, the soda machines are the fancy ones, complimentary peanuts, and lots of fries, and friendly service. In Vegas I considered Five Guys my favorite burger, in New Mexico there is a lot more and steeper competition. New Mexico knows how to do a burger! The only problem I have with Five Guys (and how I think they'd beat out some of the competition) is to add green chile to their burgers. There are few incidents where I have found myself torn between two different star ratings that I wish there was a half button to meet in the middle. I was torn between 3-4 stars. So, the things I love about five guys is first and foremost, you can add whatever toppings and as many as you want for no extra charge, great concept! I enjoy my burgers loaded up and I have no fear doing that here as I won't get a hefty upcharge. The fries are a sharable portion size, and you can get them seasoned two ways. A lot of drink options with soda and gold peak brewed tea. Free peanuts while you wait, however I have a slight phobia of eating anything that is open to the public to handle (you never know when the last time everyone washed their hands!). So, onto what I'm not so fond of. The buns don't hold up against the grease and toppings for very long, even taking 30 minutes to drive home, your looking at least half the bun is already soggy and turning into mush, so plan to eat there at the restaurant! The burger itself is bland, the toppings and sauces make up for it, but I wish the patty itself had more flavor. It's a good burger, no matter how you build it, but it's not great, but still worth it for sure. One patty hamburger puts you at about $4.50, they are made to order so you will be waiting so don't get upset that its not in and out, the freshness is worth the wait. I went to the location on Unser Blvd to pick up my 79.00 order and was shorted more than half of the food I ordered. The fries that I did get were cold and small. After calling the manager Brianna, I was told that I could pick up the part of the order that they forgot, I asked if it could be remade so it would be hot since I had to drive all the way back to the store to get it. She said she would have to charge me again. I asked her to just refund the order instead and she refused. I asked for the store managers name and number and she hung up on me. I called a different location to get the managers name and number and they were very helpful. I would not recommend going to the Unser and Southern Blvd location.  It would be worth driving however far it would be to another location as this location is only concerned with getting your money and offers the poorest customer service I have ever received in my 50 years alive. I used to go to this location once a week but after the treatment I received from the "manager" Brianna I will never go to another 5 guys location again. Blakes Lotaburger or Whataburger is a great alternative and they don't treat their customers like crap! read more

My wife and I love Five Guys and have been to this location numerous times. Today when our number was called another customer picked up our meal, we let the girl behind the counter know and while she was trying to figure out what happened, the person who had picked it up by accident returned it. Up to this point no big deal, accidents happen, but then they proceeded to hand the open bag back to us as if we were good to go. My wife had watched as he had opened the bag (customer) eaten fries, and opened the hamburger, before returning it. My guess is that when he opened the burger he realized that it was not his, likely because it was a single. Again I am still not upset, until I walk up to the manager who watched on while this all unfolded. I asked him if we could get our food replaced, he snatched the bag out of my hand, put it on the counter, turned to the person on the line and said make him another one. That was it, end of story, no apology, no nothing. We waited another 10 minutes while they made our order and left. Outrageous! I work in the restaurant industry and number one, that is a health code violation. Two, we didn't do anything wrong. Why are we being treated like bad guys for wanted food that hasn't been snacked on and touched by a stranger? I expect better than this from a large franchise like Five Guys. read more

I ordered on line so I wouldn't have to wait. The order was supposed to be ready at 6:03. I got there a couple of minutes early and waited until after 6:15 before the order was ready. The burgers had been done for at least 10 minutes and I guess I was waiting on the fries. By the time I got home the burgers were cold and buns soggy. I should have known better because it's not the first time it's happened. To make it worse, the one burger wasn't even made right. I tried to call the restaurant to complain but they didn't answer. I love 5 guys but this location has really gone down hill. In the future I'll drive farther to a different location. read more

This is my go to burger joint. They lettuce wrap it so I don't eat the glutenous bun. You have to ask but they will even grill the jalapeños and green peppers. Don't come here if you have a peanut allergy though. They use peanut oil for the fries and you can sit and shell and eat peanuts while you wait for your burger. read more

They probably have the best burgers locally in Rio Rancho, I'm from Southern California and charbroiled burgers are a huge thing, including chains like In N Out, Tommy Burgers, etc... I've been enjoying this restaurant chain for years. When we moved to Albuquerquer, I thought to myself. "Does the Burque really need another hamburger joint?" Especially with Blakes and Bob's holding their ground here in the Land of Enchantment. This particular location is right up street from our casa. Tucked away in a standard strip mall. This was our go to burger in our last town. I can't say that is the case now with the all the competition. Don't get me wrong the other places only have one guy and this place has 5! All kidding aside. This place grills up a tasty burger. If you didn't know where it came from you would swear it was homemade. When you enter the building these restaurants all look the same where ever you go. Lots of white, peanuts, bags of fresh potatoes, and a person smiling as they take your order. This place is great because all the topping are included. No nickle and diming here. What do you want on the burger? You get it. The portion sizes are good too. A regular hamburger is acutally 2 patties so watch out. When we go we allways share an order of french fries. They load you up on french fries. They have to use up all those bags of potatoes. If you are in the area and want a very tasty burger, then Five Guys is here to help satisfy your hamburger cravings. The only thing they don't offer is green chile. This review is way overdue as we've visited Five Guys on Unser 10 times in the past 2 years. We like it so much that we asked Santa Claus for a 5 Guys gift card. GREAT burgers and fries, large portions - couldn't be better. BTW we love being able to get grilled onions (and lots of other toppings) on our burgers at no extra charge. But the main reason I sat down to write this review is to compliment the management and the employees for being so friendly and welcoming. I have mobility issues and my husband has his hands full because our little dog likes to come to sit in the sun on 5 Guys' patio and eat french fries. Although this is a counter service restaurant, every time we come they insist on bringing our food out to us and more often than not someone checks back to see if we need anything. A business just can't buy the good will that this kind of attention has earned. read more

I love a good burger and I heard this place had one. My wife and I went just thinking we were going to blakes or something like that. First of all after we ordered it was 30 dollars for 2 people!
