Walked up to the counter and had 3 employees look over but none walked over to help. They remade the burger, which took about 15 minutes. Negative shout out to the server Jonathan M. I came into this place earlier and had my order taken by this guy who was apathetic as all hell. On my day off from work I like to pick up a burger and relax. I ordered a burger with "two patties regular not cajun" and was served just two patties on a bun. No toppings, no condiments, just two bone dry patties on one bone dry bun. I will not be spending any more money here after I was charged $7 for a tin foil wrap full of disappointment. OMG that cheese burger was so delicious!!! It's a bit pricier than like a Burger King but it is SO worth it! I got it with "everything" which includes sautéed mushrooms, so juicy =messy. Since we're stuck at home with our kids for our anniversary, we decided to order an old family favorite, Five Guys, for dinner. Although we've had issues in the past year or so with them getting our order wrong--on one occasion literally three times in a row--the food is usually awesome enough to deal with the annoyance. This time, however, it was most definitely the wrong decision. We ordered for curbside pickup early in the evening (shortly after 5pm), yet no one answered my husband's repeated calls when he arrived at the designated time, so he had to go inside. He was then ignored and had to ask several times about our order before being helped. When he finally got our food and inspected it, not all of it was correct (SURPRISE), and the employee wasn't particularly eager to remedy it, nor apparently even aware we had ordered four milkshakes, which my husband then had to wait even longer for. Of course one of them ended up being the wrong flavor, something we didn't realize till he got home, the fries were basically all just shy of being burned (and cold after all the extra waiting), and the burgers were very sloppily and inconsistently put together. To top it off, at least two of the employees were incorrectly wearing their masks, either not covering the nose or literally pulling it down every time they talked (wtffffffffff), and when my husband politely pointed it out, he received an icy death stare and zero response. So. Yeah. We used to live around the corner from Five Guys, have been patrons literally since they opened, and will now not be back anytime soon. Which super sucks, because their food is generally epic and their customer service is usually at least okay. But going forward, we'll only be giving our business to local restaurants taking this seriously while still providing great food and customer service. Superburger, it is. read more

This is a review for 5 Guys take-out. 1) We ordered online w/credit card and it was a thing of beauty. Simple, quick, we bypassed the line, picked-up the bags, and we were out. Perfect. --ride home with the bags (6 minutes door-to-door)-- 2) The bags were another story. They were filled with the heaviest, greasiest, lumps of beef, cheese, sauce, and potatoes that I've ever had to choke down. 3) The fries don't take a journey at all. They went right in the trash. 4) The burgers were enormous and a warm mess. Yes, I finished mine. No-one else did. I was really hungry. 5) The whole thing was gross. The house smelled like nasty grease for two hours until we took the trash outside to get rid of the fries and uneaten brugers. 6) I'll never do that again. The two are so different its hard to compare. Five Guys is a solid burger with lots of flavors coming out because of all the topping choices. In & Out is really more simplistic with a fresher flavor. It all depends on what you are feeling when you want a burger. I like both and will visit both from time to time. Hard to choose. I read about 20 yelp reviews before heading up to 5 Guys today, some poeple love it, some people say InNOut is much better. I left home knowing to order the fries well-done. So a friend and I arrive around 1:30, no line to speak of although one out out the door appeared as we were waiting for our burgers. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger (actually two pattys) with everything sans mayo. Word of caution: The Jalapeños are raw, not cooked so they carry quite a punch for the heat-weak of us. I removed the remaining sweat harbingers half way though my burger and it was nicer that way. For the first time in my life, I received a properly cooked beef burger at a fast food establishment. It was actually pink in the middle !!!!!1 Everything about the burger was great, maybe the buns were lacking 'cause the bread kinda fell apart but on such a big ass burger you don't want a thick ass bun slowing down the frequency of "om nom nom nom" The Fries: SUCK. Save yourself and skip the fries, if you get the double patty burger you won't need them anyways. I had fries well done with Cajun seasoning, my buddy had fries regular and both really, really sucked. I can't think of a establishment that has shittier fries. During my late night Biology class one evening I thought I smelled a burger. And then all I could think about was burgers. Medell's pea plants? Evolution? Darwin? Natural Selection? Nope!! Just burgers. So then I started thinking where do I want a burger. First thought...In and Out! It's fast and close. But then I realized I had never tried 5 guys so I knew I had to run over there after class. The people there were super friendly. They warned me how big the normal cheeseburger is so I got the tiny. Love the fact all toppings are free. Huge points over In and Out which gets boring after awhile. I decided on the regular toppings plus a side of BBQ on the side, plus some fries all to go. The service was fast but I did enjoy reading all the newspaper articles while I waited. I really appreciate the fact they get potatoes from local farmers and they had a cute sign saying where they had gotten them that day. As soon as I got into my car I started munching on french fries. Normally, I don't love fries. They are just okay to me, but these ones were so amazing. Super fresh and salty, just the way fries should be. I couldn't wait to get home and eat my burger. Once home, I dug into my burger. It was pretty big for the little size. The bun could of been better, as it was a tad boring and fell apart quickly. But everything else was on point. I don't understand the negative reviews for five guys! I have a feeling some people are sad their beloved in n out has been bested. In n out is great, but five guys really steps it up a notch. The fries are phenomenal, with or without the Cajun spice. They are thick steak fries and my goodness are they good!! The sizes are generous, too- a regular was more than enough for my husband and I to share. I always order a cheeseburger with one patty. I really like the toppings you can customize your burger with - personally, I recommend grilled onions, mushrooms, jalapeños and BBQ sauce. My only small qualm is with the decor- it's covered with giant quotes from newspapers and magazines who give five guys good reviews. It's not really a problem, but I think their food is good enough to speak for itself- I don't need giant posters to convince me these are the best fries and burger around. read more

This review is based on placing an ONLINE order. Food was excellent for the price as always but the ball was seriously dropped with picking up my food. We ordered online and the estimate was that it would be ready in 8 minutes. I showed up and approached the pick up counter as instructed and they asked if I was there to pick up and what my name was. They assured me my food would be ready in a moment so I sat down. 20-30 minutes later as order number 48 was called I decided to ask again if my food was ready and a different guy grabbed a bag that had been sitting by the fries for ages and put the fries in and gave me our cups and muttered a barely audible sorry. The number on the bag was 26!! Fortunately the fries weren't served until I said something and the burgers are wrapped in foil so they stayed warm. If someone is going to order online they need to announce when your food is ready. I did exactly what I was supposed to do and having food just sit there for that long in a fast food environment is unacceptable. Hopefully that won't be the case next time we order online. read more

Well, I finally made it to Five Guys! Since moving to California I have become an In-N-Out loyalist. After hearing people compare them to death, I knew I had to try them and decide for myself. Here's the verdict: It's honestly not a bad burger. The meat is fresh but lacking in flavor. I was concerned after reading so many reviews that said it was a sloppy and soggy burger. But I took mine home and it wasn't a bit sloppy or soggy. The fries were plentiful but extremely greasy. I'm not sure why they were dark brown because they weren't overdone. They were decent but also lacking in flavor. My vegetarian boyfriend got a grilled cheese "all the way." His sentiments were the same as mine: It's good, but not In-N-Out good. Five Guys has more toppings and that plays to his advantage because he likes mushrooms and other toppings that I don't. I just like lettuce, onion, and ketchup on my burgers. They're more expensive, but not outrageously so. $4.39 for a little cheeseburger, $3.19 for a grilled cheese, and $2.69 for a regular fries. The staff were friendly and had our food ready in ten minutes. While they don't beat In-N-Out in my book, Five Guys is still miles better than your typical fast food joint. Well, as with most things of this sort, you get folks who consider themselves experts ranting and/or raving about the product. I'm not one of those so much. I really enjoyed my burger; it is not so much that it's better or worse than an In-N-Out, it's just different. In-N-Out makes a good burger and so does Five Guys, but they are apples and oranges. I've read a lot of comments regarding seasoning, or the lack thereof, on the burger; I didn't notice missing spices and thought the taste was excellent, but then I did order it "all the way" and got the Bacon Cheeseburger, so that may have played a part. The bacon is awesome! The flavor of the burger was great and you'll never be able to get anything like it at In-N-Out: they don't offer the same options. This gives us good reason to visit both places when the specific place's menu calls out to us and justifies having these two places so close together. The staff was friendly and attentive and one in particular, a gal sweeping up inside and out, was extremely friendly and helpful in pointing out her favorites and asking what I ordered, giving me pointers for my next visit. I liked how they seemed genuinely concerned about outdoor litter had people out picking it up regularly. I only had the burger this time but will likely have a hot dog soon and cajun fries after the P.D.'s BiteClub reviews and photos. In-N-Out has horrible fries in my opinion and I'm always surprised when people say they like them but who am I? To compare home fries from anywhere to In-N-Out's lame fries seems like comparing Recaro racing seats to an inverted bucket. But, again, each to his own... The restaurant is clean, busy, open and noisy and too bright for me, but I will go back and do suggest it highly so far! read more

All the burgers are made to order and what makes it more fun to order is you can choose your own toppings and there are so many to choose from. I'm a west coast person and love In and Out but as so many reviewers have made the comparison, I don't really see one. It served burger and fries, but the price range is different, concept etc different. So, enough with comparing. 5 Guys is the best burger I've had in Sonoma County since the Dog House went to crap years ago in Bodega Bay. The burgers are fresh tasting. The fries are wonderful but ask for them crispy because they do have the tendency of under-cooking them. I will say the service is not the best and I have had a few orders messed up, BUT the place has only been open a month and I know it takes time to get things grooving right. I love these burgers! I've been here three times in the past three weeks and ordered the same thing every time... Little Bacon Cheese Burger with; Mayo, Mustard, Grilled Onions, and Jalapenos Small Cajun Frys Visit #1 Tuesday Noon-ish Burger patty seemed very small, didn't come close to size of the bun. Toppings were perfect. Frys were WAY over seasoned!!!!!! Frys were WAY undercooked, no crunch, when broken in half they resembled a baked potato that was only partially boiled (white, solid and translucent. Visit #2 Thursday After 5p Burger patty was good size. Grilled onions were raw Frys were cooked better, still no crunch (made In & Out's frys seem over cooked). Visit #3 Wednesday Noon-ish Great patty. Added catsup that I didn't order (I couldn't eat the entire burger, I detest catsup). Grilled onions were raw (still white and crunchy) Frys were straight up RAW Frys were under seasoned, could barely taste the cajun flavor. All in all, I love the bun, bacon, cheese, and beef.
