Some friends of mine recently invited me to join them for dinner at Five Guys and I was reminded how much I love their food. So much that I decided to go back for a second time in an 2 week period. This time at the location off of Lindell Blvd in the Central West End. Like other locations, this location offers their classic take on burgers, hotdogs, milkshakes and fries. Each item is made-to-order and customizable with a range of toppings. I opted to order a cheeseburger and a regular serving of fries- both of which were ready in less than 15 minutes from the time I placed the order. Overall, the ingredients were fresh and the quality was consistent with what I have experienced at other locations. If you have never been, there are a few considerations when dining at Five Guys: 1) the serving sizes are enormous. The cheeseburger is actually a double cheeseburger and the regular size fries are served in a 12oz cup which is enough to serve 2 people, 2) the serving size and the price go hand in hand. While you get a lot of food, a meal for one person can range anywhere from $14-$20 and 3) they double fry their fries in peanut oil, which may be a limitation for some people with allergies. Overall, I am pleased with the experience and will return the next time I have a craving for a burger and fries.

Dear me, I think my eyes are bigger than my stomach! Root beer, fries & bacon cheeseburger with ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomato.

We are defined by the choices we make in life. So, if you're choosing to eat a burger and are considering chain restaurants - choose Five Guys. I love that you can choose the size of your burger stack - choose your toppings - choose regular or seasoned fries - choose your own fountain drink - choose peanuts or not to peanuts (free peanuts are available for the taking) - choose dine in or take out - choose to share your abundant cup of overflowing fries or not. It's all about choices here, and that deserves a high five, Five Guys. PS The service has always been friendly, fast, and spot on when I'm at this location. They've chosen to deliver good customer service. So...that's worth a second high five.

I am NOT into fast food, especially fast food burger places. But Five Guys is different. These burgers are amazing. The regular burger comes with two juicy patties and whatever toppings you want. I like getting the cheeseburger with BBQ sauce and mushrooms. When I say juicy, I mean it. This is a multiple napkin kind of sandwich. Their fries are ok. I'm not a huge fan of fries, but since there isn't another option to eat with the burger, I always get them. No one should ever need to order a large order unless you plan to feed the family. Order the small...they give you a filled cup and then dump a bunch more in the bag. You end up with enough for 2-3 people. The restaurant is big with tons of seating. It's clean and bright and the staff is friendly. Parking is easy since they are on the outer edge of the Schnucks parking lot. That's a big plus in the CWE. I've only lived in the CWE for 2 weeks...and I've already eaten here 3 times. And they give you free peanuts in the shell to munch on while you wait for your food. What else could you possibly need?

Today was the day that I decided to eat at five guys so I could be part of the fast food elitist group that is better than everyone else because they eat at five guys. When I arrived the first thing I noticed was the signs about how amazing this place is. WOW.... Talk about tooting your own horn, this place takes the cake. Ok back to the real reason your reading this review. Does it live up to what the signs say and the answer is yes it does. The gentleman who took our order was so friendly. He was actually excited to be at work and seemed happy to take my order. I ordered a cheeseburger and some fries. I liked the fact that I got a huge list of stuff that I could pick and choose to put on my burger. The French fry gods have heard my prayers and delivered me the salty yummy fries that I desire. My burger was also fantastic. The burger was moist and flavorful. The only negative about five guys was the price, but I will now choose five guys over other burger places.

The one and only Five Guys burger. Not convinced that it lives up to the hype.

I enjoy it every time I get it. No complaints about the food and service, but the music tends to be a little loud.

The mushroom burger is unlike any other I've ever had. It's ground up mushroom in the shape of a patty with cheese on the inside that is then breaded and deep-fried. It was good and something new, but I preferred the regular veggie burger. The veggie burger comes with crispy onions, which I loved. The service was also great. We are a family that loves pickles and sometimes when we ask for extra pickles, it doesn't seem like we ever get enough. It was not the case here! They were very generous with the extra pickles which we were really happy about. The cheese fries were standard. The Oreo milkshake seemed pretty standard as well, but milkshakes aren't my favorite thing. Personally, I didn't care for how everything is served without a plate and with the burgers in the paper bags. I think the paper bags the burgers come in are a great idea to stop your hands from getting messy, but I had to take the burger out to realign everything so that all the bread wouldn't be at the very bottom and it just became a mess. Note: 1 burger was enough for me. I thought I was still hungry after and got another and that was a mistake!

I mean, really, really small. It just wasn't worth the price. I also ordered a regular Shake Shack chocolate milkshake and it too was very small. But it also tasted "off". There was something about it that just didn't sit right. There was too much chocolate to the point you couldn't taste the ice cream flavor at all. I was going to have them remake it, but honestly, it just didn't seem worth my time. The people who work there are very friendly and kind. The place also seemed immaculately clean. But my experience was frankly rather negative. Thank you for the good times, Shake Shack! You had a good run. But there's no value to your food, and things just don't taste the same as they once did. Epic fail.

It goes without saying that not every restaurant deserves 5 stars but since I typically don't rate…read morefast food restaurants much, I have to separate this evaluation into its own category. It's not fair to evaluate a fast food restaurant against, for example a place like Ruth's Chris. With that said, as far as fast food restaurants go this is a 5 star fast food restaurant. Lee's definitely has the best fried chicken in the state. I live in California so when I come home for the holidays I like to get the junk food I grew up on and Lee's is one of my favorites. The restaurant was very clean but extremely warm. I was going to ask them to turn down the heat but I decided to sit under the ceiling fan and turn it to high. That helped a lot. I ordered the 5 wing plate combo. The wings came with a biscuit, two sides and a drink. For my sides I ordered baked beans and potato wedges. The crispy chicken had a great crunch followed by a very unique and slightly spicy flavor. The chicken was very moist and flavorful. If you ask for bbq sauce for dipping (free), it elevates the chicken even more. It also wasn't overly oily like some fried chicken places. The potato wedges were very good but a little under done. The center of the larger wedges were a bit too firm. The baked beans are phenomenal; a little sweet and spice that compliments the entire dish. I wish the biscuits were a little more moist but the flavor of the biscuits were spot-on with its flaky, buttery exterior. Accomplished by Lee's infamous sweet tea, it was an indulgent meal that I have about once a year. If you're ever in the area and your looking for some fried goodness, stop by Lee's. You won't be disappointed.

I wanted to pull out the drive thru line. But again my mother wanted me to just allow the disrespect from the rude lady working the drive thru taking the order. I will not be visiting any location from south city, north city are north county. I'm a person that believes in mannerisms. I always show mannerisms when I'm placing my order at any fast food location. I started out working as a food service worker. I know the ups and downs of having rude customers. So I don't want to make anyone job hard, especially being rude for no reason at all. Please do me a favor and close down all these locations mentioned. I will never eat here at any location, I've finally convinced my mother to not portinize this business at any cost. We will fry chicken at home and make our own famous sides like back in day. Covid-19 didn't teach the rude workers anything. But my family not visiting any Lee's location will. I hope all your locations go out of business.

I often saw the other location on Chouteau Ave but apparently this one was closer to hotel, walking distance wise. I regret not going to that location. When I arrived here around 10pm, the inside/walk up order was clocked locked up despite lights being on. There is no signage indicating the hours for that area, unfortunately. Since we already walked there and were hungry, I simply placed a pick up via their website around 10:18pm. Per the tracking, it said my order was ready about 10:25pm. I waited for drive through to clear and went to the window. It wasn't ready yet and I was told to go to the other side. Around 10:35pm, I received the food. My mistake was not checking the order but largely because it was cold and wanted to get back to hotel to eat it before it got cold. For starters, I peeked in the bag when it was given to me by staff and fries were everywhere! Then, Only 1 of the 3 sandwiches were correct! It wasn't even that busy! Order: Cheesy Bacon Clucker (Crispy), BBQ Pretzel Buford, and Pretzel Pubster Burger Combo! The clucker was correct but my Buford was missing the bacon AND the bbq sauce. The pubster burger only had 1 patty vs two and no bacon crumbles. There was no ketchup or napkins in the bag either. This was very disappointing experience. I would have been less upset if it was a regular burger but my bbq Buford cost more due to the extra toppings. I wasted my money. If I had a car, I probably would've went back but we were not going to go there and back in the cold.

Highly recommend if you love bold flavor and great value!
