Went and got 2x cheeseburgers, 1x Large Fry and 1x Drink and paid FORTY THREE DOLLARS. There was 4 teenagers working, not a single adult in sight. The ketchup was empty, most of the drinks we tried in the soda machine were out of syrup. Our burgers were smashed into a bag, mushed and incorrect toppings. They gave us some extra fries in the bag but not near as much as they used to, maybe like 10 extra fries. For paying $43 for 2 burgers, 1 fry and a drink I should be blown away, I was not even slightly impressed with this establishment at all. Sadly won't be returning, I give this place a year or two before closing being run like this :\

We were very hungry and came to the restaurant 5 minutes before closing, there were a lot of us, 30 people! But the guys agreed to feed us! We ordered cheeseburgers! Very tasty, 5 stars!!!

While i was ordering the staff was very very rude, i was ordering for my family of 4 and they thought all the food was for me they said "damn girl" and they made comments about my weight . VERY Disrespectful never going back ever again it was just disgraceful. While i was eating the burger it all started falling apart, it had a veryyyy funky taste. DONT Recommend, Very Expensive for horrible food.

I tried this place a few years back. I was not impressed and haven't revisited since yesterday. The burgers are sooo good ! Once the topic of hamburgers comes up. People are quick to compare with other restaurants, specially in-n-out. I believe each burger place has its own identity and should be judged alone, not compared to other places. The burgers here taste like a homemade backyard BBQ burgers. The bun is extremely soft and all ingredients are fresh. I love the Cajun fries! They do not carry ranch! Although it's my favorite condiments and most people's favorite as well. I didn't mind so much , I actually like it when certain places don't carry certain condiments . I went with the good old mayo mustard and ketchup. I ordered a double bacon cheese burger and enjoyed every single bite ! I see a lot of people here complaining about the increase in price. What the average person does not understand, meat prices have doubled in the past year. At the end of the day , they need to profit. They don't have any trays or plates . Not very dine in friendly. Although the staff was very nice. The ice machine was broken and they only offered bottled soda, paid $5 for 2 cokes with no refills. This place won me over and now part of my restaurant rotation

It says that their store is close, scheduled to reopen Nov 21,2024. Maybe they need to make repairs or remodel for a few days...

Inside it's just nicer, quieter and less crazy and has lots of tables that feel nice to eat off of. The outdoor portion also feels equally nice to dine at and doesn't feel like just a few chairs added outside for the sake of it. This time we got the miso salmon bowl which was really good and filling (very easy to split) and a side of sweet potato fries. I loved feeling like I didn't have to get a burger to feel satisfied here. Everything was delicious and staff accommodated every request! Pretty much everyone we talked to were nice and kind so it seems like great staff too! Really happy with this one, will definitely be back!

2 out of 5 stars -- Review for P&L Burgers (Thousand Oaks, CA)…read moreI stopped by P&L Burgers and left with mixed feelings. The service was genuinely friendly and impressively fast, even with a busy crowd. You order at the counter and wait at your table, and the dining room is bright and clean. Still, it's hard to ignore how messy and disorganized the space feels. Cases of cups were stacked in the dining area, and there wasn't a designated spot for condiments--I actually had to grab Tabasco from a table someone was leaving. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito with bacon, which is definitely large and packed with eggs, cheese, hash browns, salsa, and your choice of protein. Unfortunately, the size didn't translate to flavor. The bacon came as three very greasy, soft slices clumped on one side, and the whole burrito tasted oily and bland. Even after drowning it in salsa and Tabasco, I couldn't finish it. I wouldn't order it again. Many people swear by their burgers and fries, and considering they've been around for over 40 years, they're clearly doing something right. Maybe next time I'll try what they're known for--but the breakfast burrito was a miss for me.

SO SAD - Dog Haus decided to change their menu as a whole company nationwide and I don't know if it…read morereally satisfies us the way it used to. Dog Haus is known as an American craft-casual restaurant that's famous for their gourmet hot dogs and sausages all served on Hawaiian bread rolls. However, the new menu eliminated a good amount of their reputation! They sell smash burgers and grilled chicken, but it's called Dog Haus. The menu no longer has items like the spicy Italian, smoked apple sooo veggie sausage, chicken-mozzarella, and curried Thai Fighter wurst. Now, they highlight their normal hot dog and pork sausage - that's it. They used to sell their gourmet and different flavor combination sausages and bratwurst, but now they don't. It's turned into a restaurant like Sonic (but without the fun desserts and drinks) and Shake Shack (but at least Shake Shack has shakes.) They lost their uniqueness. Other than the company decision, which was probably the wurst business move, they also did not communicate clear enough to their employees because everyone at this location seemed to be over it. The guy at the cash register was incredibly annoyed that we didn't automatically understand that onion rings obviously aren't on the menu like before and onion strings are the new thing and what the differences are. We're sad because we really liked this restaurant and location, but it's not worth the food that's now pretty basic at most other American restaurants. Having smash burgers as a hot-dog place vs. selling hit smash burgers at somewhere like Fat Sal's where they're known for that is a bit different. Additionally, the customer service was NOT it. I asked for a water cup and was very disappointed to see that even after running the water for a few seconds, the water was still pink and not clear. When we got our food, our onion rings now onion strings were one of the saddest "shareables" side on their menu. They were limp, oily, hard to eat, and definitely not the move. We ordered entrees and weren't too impressed now that the dogs were normal, as well. Ambiance wise - they have seating inside, some seating outside, and inside have a tv where things like the FIFA World Cup play on a big screen.

I requested my money back instead but was told I needed to go to their website to do so. I did so immediately and the prompt told me someone from customer service would reach out to me to resolve the issue. I'd been wanting to go back and take Dear Hubby to enjoy this very special re-imagining of the previous space, which had been an Irish pub incarnation. When our sister-in-law and two nieces were in town, the five of us were able to spend a quick evening together at Selvin's. We had been working on a project at our house, and by the time we got finished and ready to go out there wasn't a lot of time left as we went on a weeknight and they close at 9:00. I'm surprised that having a full bar, and being attached to a hotel property, that they would hang it up so early - even 9:30 or 10:00 would make more sense. It's such a charming place; seems a shame to have to call it a night so early. The ambiance is absolutely divine, especially out here in suburbia. It's very innovative in its layout. The lighting was carefully planned and is very effective in creating a special mood. And, what can be said about the wall of roses? It's tailor-made for snapping fun photos, that's for sure. The chef is sending out creative and Dee-Licious dishes from the kitchen. Yes, I know how to spell delicious, but it is worth adding the accented flair to stating the fact that this is a cut above many other dining establishments in the Conejo Valley. Dear Hubby and I shared Pappardelle Pasta and a Tuna Tartare appetizer. Both were excellent. One of our nieces ordered the taco platter. Wait till you see the photo. The only thing that was disappointing, menu-wise, was that bread wasn't included, so we ordered some as a side. Two little slices. I've forgotten the price, but I recall that it turned into sticker shock when we saw what was served. I'm tickled that they offer a nice array of zero proof cocktail options. They aren't inexpensive - apparently spirits without alcohol aren't any less (or maybe only slightly less?) than the full-spirited options. Still, it's nice to have the option. Our out of town family members LOVED Selvin's; it was a big hit with all of us. As an added bonus, there was a guitarist playing beautiful acoustic music when we arrived and were seated in the lounge area. Major extra credit!

It's the perfectly curated trio - Dirty Martini, followed by a well dressed crisp Cesar salad, and perfectly hot Truffle French fries. That's girl dinner in a nutshell (trust us on this combo). On their speciality menu it's called "Martinis and Munchies for Two" for $49. An amazing deal split between two friends. Dirty Martini: Some of the best ice cold martinis on this side of town. These cocktails were crafted to perfection and were always a sucker for the blue cheese stuffed olives. Tossed Cesar Salad: A Cesar salad during these hot summer months always hits the spot. Crisp, cold and fresh. The dressing was solid but I must highlight the lightly scattered capers on this salad - so smart and so tasty! Truffle French Fries: After a few martinis these French fries come in clutch. Crispy, hot and perfectly salted - who doesn't love a French fry and an aioli with a kick. Honorable Mention: PASTA. I was very impressed with my pasta dish here. Ordered the pappardelle bolognese and this pasta was a 10/10. Perfectly cooked ribbons of pasta with a hearty meat sauce and the Stracciatella topping sealed the deal for me on this pasta. We had a fabulous girls dinner from start to finish. The ambience at Selvin's is truly magical and we just love the decor and bar area. We had a cozy little booth to ourselves and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Extra kudos to Claudia for being a bubbly, lovely girls girl who was super attentive to us during our meal and made the night A+. Can't wait to come back soon.
