Some of my friends and I walked in after a day at the beach- we didn't want to stay for long so there were no burgers ordered, but we got some fries to snack on. I honestly don't remember if the fries from other Five Guys restaurants are really that salty? Should have gone easy on the salt sprinkling in my opinion. The place was pretty empty when we were there (a total of zero other groups!) but that also made it much easier to seem like a clean establishment. I've been to Five Guys in several states and it's generally decent fast food. Larger burger than the big M chain and ample fries (although nothing beats fresh M fries!) my complaint goes from state to state and the quality of the buns. The one and only time our order was incorrect, they were kind enough to replace it. The customer service rivals how good the food is. Ok again Ryan never reviews chains unless it is worth it and trust me this Five Guys is worth it. Sure Wakefield doesn't get the huge crowds of a Boston location but that doesn't mean they can get loose with service. The cashier was extremely pleasant and even asked me how my day was going. Honestly I was thrown off a bit because you never get this question in the service industry...anywhere unless you are sitting at the bar alone on a Friday night. Even the cook in the back was willing to chat it up with customers. Order was fast but you could chalk this up to a slow lunch day. Like most Five Guys, the eating area is kept very clean. After walking out, there is always a moment at Five Guys were I go "eh that could have been done better." With this one, there wasn't that moment of analysis. I'm not a meat eater, so when I do get a taste for a burger, Five Guys is the place. I keep making the mistake of getting too many toppings because I don't really taste it as much. Plus they don't really season the burger itself very much. But they are real good, and the service is also always great at all the Five Guys i've been to. But the real star is the French fries. Not only are they excellent, but they are wonderfully generous with the servings, as is well known. You can always buy a portion less than you think you need (especially if you fill up on the free peanuts first). read more

Came in last night and overheard cashier mention they were a bit short-staffed. A big group ordered right before me and I was afraid that I might be stuck there for a while, but the staff did a great job putting the food out quick. It couldn't have been longer than 7 minute wait with about 7-8 orders ahead of me and the food was quality. Place was also spotless. This is the worst restaurant I have ever been too. The burgers were cold, as well as the buns and our order for cheese burgers was overlooked. When I mentioned that the burgers were cold and they were not cheese burgers, the rude cashier named Reyneisha gave us a cold piece of cheese to add to our cold burgers. When we complained she advised us to either take our order as is or make a new order. My family and I left hungry since we are not going to eat cold burgers and out the money we paid for our meal. This is actually a nice 5GB&F store. It's compact, open kitchen in back, front filled with seating of bar tables, regular tables and a counter that lines the front window and looks out on the parking lot. The store was clean and busy. They're open from 11 am to 10 pm and you can order online, by fax or telephone. I've eaten at the Warwick 5GB&F store which I disliked for it's layout. BUT the Wakefield store has the parking lot from hell. The burgers are relatively simple as is the menu here. Anyone coming here should expect to order burgers. There are hotdogs, a " veggie sandwich" (with cheese option,) grilled cheese and a BLT as alternatives. There's fries, with salt and grease or with cayenne salt and a few other spices and grease. The regular burger actually has 2 patties so I assume the little hamburger has 1 patty. Both come in 3 ways other than just patties on a bun. There is one with cheese, one with bacon and one with bacon and cheese. Really easy isn't it? There's a list of toppings (go online to get the list or just get it at the counter on a pamphlet sized peice of paper,) to help you select how you want your burger covered. I tweaked once I went through the menu and the toppings list and was asked if I wanted a drink. The lady pointed my gaze to one of those multibutton horrors that Wendy's has installed in their dining rooms. My mind shut down and after muttering "duuuuuhhhhh," I told her, "no drink, my mind blew a gasket," which brought a confused smile/grimace and my reciept. Kev ordered his own burger and fries and like me didn't get a drink. We went to the end of the ordering/delivery counter to wait and saw people waiting at tables for their orders. So gathering napkins and ketchup in plastic monkey dishes we claimed our own small table. It didn't take long until our orders were called. Now the burgers are nice, juicy and fresh looking with a good amount of the ordered toppings. It is not the BEST burger I've had but is a really good one for this amount of money. I am still not turned on by their fries. They're kind of droopy, not at all crispy but I do like their medium sized cut. They were not hot. Don't come here if you're on a diet. The fries have been touted as some of the worst fries nutritionally in the Eat This Not That book. The burgers are tasty but... If you want a great burger go to Crazy Burger. If you want great fries, I don't know there are 3 fast food options down the road. (ETNT suggests KFC's wedges as a lesser evil. I like them and they have spices on them.) This is an okay place to get a burger after the kids game or for a quick bite. read more

I've been to other 5 guys and if they mess up u get a burger made fresh. My cheese prob would have melted if it wasn't 50 degrees inside the restaurant! Very nice, clean and friendly. Food was fast and hot. The veggie sandwich is interesting because it's basically exactly like a hamburger without the meat (same hamburger bun and everything). I liked it because I could eat it without feeling too full and sick afterwards. My only complaint is that they have the radio on wayyyy too loud. I'm just not a fan of hearing soft rock at an 11. And it was getting in the way because the poor kid yelling the numbers has to do it several times for each order because you literally can't hear anything in there. read more

This is the fourth 'Five Guys Burgers and Fries' I have had the pleasure to visit. Each and every location was equally great! The burger was cooked perfect. The bun.. Fresh! I ordered the burger with almost all the fixings...each and everyone tasted fresh! Perfect burger! If you like French fries..you must try the Cajun seasoned fries!!! I love this Five Guys location. They are very organized, I come here 3-4 times a month and they have never screwed up my order (sometimes I order 10-12 burgers for the group home I work at). The staff are spectacular and so positive. The place is spotless and there is always ketchup and napkins ready to go (big pet peeve of mine when the ketchup dispenser is empty).
