Visiting from New York for our annual friend trip, we hit up Iggy's after a beach day around 5:30 PM. The line wrapped all around the building, and you can instantly tell this spot has a massive, loyal OG following. Unfortunately, the crowd control was chaotic and felt a bit like a fire hazard--having a greeter or coordinator out front would help immensely. Inside, the vibe was a bit dated and unorganized. The Food: The Good: Great combo deals and convenient boxes. My friends enjoyed the chicken parm, shrimp fritters, and the fish looked amazing (I definitely should have ordered that instead!). The Miss: As a first-timer trying a Rhode Island lobster roll, I was pretty disappointed. It was dry, lacked butter, and the bread was slightly burnt. The Vibe: The place is heavily run by youth staff (complete with strict whiteboard rules!). Instead of just policing them, management should put their energy to work out front as greeters, handling menus, or running social media. It has tons of nostalgic charm, but feels like it's lost its touch. I'd give it a second chance next time I'm in RI--I'll just be skipping the lobster roll!

The chowder was watery and unseasoned like the fish sandwich. I was hungry so had now choice but to eat it.

What happened to Iggy's the food is super bland now. I feel like the chowder didn't have the spices to it and the fish sandwich was horrible. I don't know if I'll come back again probably try the another location idk.

On our vacation to Rhode Island we decided to visit the Narragansett beach. And beach is good but Iggy's is the best The hot lobster and fish and chips are amazing. All the food was good and the root bear float. The location is great and the service is good. The Ambiance is nice and airy.

Iggy's does not disappoint! When planning our vacation in Rhode Island, Iggy's is always on top of our family's list of must do. The food is delicious. The price is on point, the service is great. The location is beautiful. They have a bunch of outdoor seating as well as tables inside. Definitely a family favorite. My wife loves the lobster rolls, My favorite are the clam cakes and doughboys, my kids love the burgers, it's all good over here. Definitely check this out.

Iggys is a go to that never disappoints. We got the clam chowder and lobster roll. The lobster roll had a lot of meat in it and is the most reasonably priced we've been able to find. Line on a weekend is very long, so prepare to wait. There is ample seating inside and some seating outside. We usually frequent the iggys in Warwick which has better views so the bar is high, but the food quality and vibe are similarly great.

Great spot near the beach. Food was really good. Standout was the Quahog as I would order this again and again. Lobster roll was a little light on meat but tasted delicious and the price was good for the quality.

Iggy's is a summer, seafood institution for anyone that lives or is visiting Narragansett. Years ago, this was an authentic clam shack close to the beach with only outdoor seating and long lines in the warm weather. Iggy's now offers indoor seating, a covered deck and the traditional outdoor seating with picnic tables. We got the fisherman's platter to share for two of us and felt it hit all the variety we wanted and left not feeling disgusting from eating too much fried food. Service is what you would expect for a business staffed mostly by high school and college students. The bay scallops were seasoned well and lightly sweet. The whole belly clams were delicate and lightly fried. The chowder tasted thick and rich, would guess it was made in house.

So many reviews we had to stop and try. We ordered the chowder seafood platter, and of course, a dozen of the doughboys! The doughboys are fried donuts, freshly made and will definitely stop for these babies again! The service was good. The ambience was very casual. We were very lucky and we were able to find a table outside. I just wish inside it was a little bit more ventilation. The clam chowder and the seafood platter were just OK for me. I would definitely come back for the donuts, however.

    Fish Sandwich

Decent place to go after the beach but nothing crazy. Pretty cheap but the food isn't very good. Got a fish sandwich and a root beer float. The sandwich was very bready and little dry. Service was alright. Sat inside and the ambiance of the place was cool. Went from two stars to three thanks to the ceiling fans.

We walked in for a late lunch and sat at the bar. I love the interior of the space. She was busy working on side work but she always kept an ear towards us so when we were ready, so was she. A sign of a real professional. We ordered some margaritas, the calamari and a small Powerslide pizza. Before long, she was setting everything down in front of us and we dug right in I was able to sample this pizza before at our National Pizza Day event last month so I was eager to snag a slice the moment it appeared before us. Sausage, caramelized onions, garlic and goat cheese. Yes, please. The combination of toppings with their dough as a base, with the bit of char from the wood fired oven? Divine. The calamari was excellent as well, fried perfectly (and if you know anything about me, I'm a bit particular about seafood). The peppers and olives were classic, well-prepared additions to the dish. And with the drizzle of balsamic, provided the extra acidity that I love on my seafood. And WHEN (not if) you swing by, if you drink make sure you order a cocktail. I've had an espresso martini before and now this time a margarita and every time they knock it out of the park! Loads of flavor options as well so you will find something you love, guaranteed. Summer is coming, so head down to the beach now before it gets too crazy and get one of the best pizzas in South County!

Pulling up to Monahan's Clam Shack it was apparent we were in the right spot, as the line was out to the street. Parking was a bit difficult, not a not of spots in the area, but we lucked out and found a spot. It was probably about 15-20 minute wait, and we were at the window ordering our lunch. My wife and I decided to share a lobster roll (cold), and a cup of clam chowder(white). We took a seat on their patio, no indoor seating, and enjoyed a beautiful view of the sea. The patio is a decent size and wraps around the back of the building. There's plenty of seating, and people are pretty good about not lingering too long after they eat. Topped with a nice breeze, it was a great spot to stop to eat. Our order was brough out to us after about a 10-15 minute wait. The lobster roll was packed with meat, not too much mayo, honestly very good ratios of ingredients. The cup of clam chowder was filled to the rim, and packed full of flavor. It was a delicious meal! Prices were maybe on the high end, but it was good quality food, the lobster roll was packed full of lobster meat, and not just filler. Overall, we enjoyed the lunch, and appreciate the suggestion we'd received!

We drove up to the building and there really is nothing special about it, very few windows and some over grown trees in the parking lot. I didn't have high hopes. There was a bit of a cleaning supply/bar smell when you first walk in. Again I wasn't expecting much. The kids ordered a small Caesar salad and pasta with butter as their main dish. My husband and I both ordered the marinated grilled chicken with vegetables and potato. A fresh hot loaf of bread with butter was placed on the table right away. It was definitely out of the oven hot and delicious. The kids devoured most of it and we ordered a second one. The waitress, Grace was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed for the table. I have to say the service was excellent as expressed on other reviews. Definitely a plus with kids! Our kids devoured the Caesar salad. It had fresh lettuce, shredded cheese, croutons and well mixed in dressing. They loved it! When our main dishes arrived, it looked promising, two pieces of nicely grilled chicken on the dish. When I tasted it, I was impressed! It was delicious! Perfectly grilled, not rubbery, and very tasty. The meal came with a side sauce of our liking. I chose the lemon butter on recommendation of the waitress. Perfectly paired! The kids pasta and butter was buccatini and was nice and hot, with a side of potato chip fries. Very good and very unique. They ate it all! Overall, ChopHouse Grille exceeded my expectations. While it isn't on the same level as a special occasion restaurant like the Coast Guard House, it offers solid food, excellent service, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. We never felt out of place dining with our kids, and the staff made the experience easy and enjoyable. I would definitely return to try one of their steaks next time.
