Visiting from New York for our annual friend trip, we hit up Iggy's after a beach day around 5:30 PM. The line wrapped all around the building, and you can instantly tell this spot has a massive, loyal OG following. Unfortunately, the crowd control was chaotic and felt a bit like a fire hazard--having a greeter or coordinator out front would help immensely. Inside, the vibe was a bit dated and unorganized. The Food: The Good: Great combo deals and convenient boxes. My friends enjoyed the chicken parm, shrimp fritters, and the fish looked amazing (I definitely should have ordered that instead!). The Miss: As a first-timer trying a Rhode Island lobster roll, I was pretty disappointed. It was dry, lacked butter, and the bread was slightly burnt. The Vibe: The place is heavily run by youth staff (complete with strict whiteboard rules!). Instead of just policing them, management should put their energy to work out front as greeters, handling menus, or running social media. It has tons of nostalgic charm, but feels like it's lost its touch. I'd give it a second chance next time I'm in RI--I'll just be skipping the lobster roll!

The chowder was watery and unseasoned like the fish sandwich. I was hungry so had now choice but to eat it.

What happened to Iggy's the food is super bland now. I feel like the chowder didn't have the spices to it and the fish sandwich was horrible. I don't know if I'll come back again probably try the another location idk.

On our vacation to Rhode Island we decided to visit the Narragansett beach. And beach is good but Iggy's is the best The hot lobster and fish and chips are amazing. All the food was good and the root bear float. The location is great and the service is good. The Ambiance is nice and airy.

Iggy's does not disappoint! When planning our vacation in Rhode Island, Iggy's is always on top of our family's list of must do. The food is delicious. The price is on point, the service is great. The location is beautiful. They have a bunch of outdoor seating as well as tables inside. Definitely a family favorite. My wife loves the lobster rolls, My favorite are the clam cakes and doughboys, my kids love the burgers, it's all good over here. Definitely check this out.

Iggys is a go to that never disappoints. We got the clam chowder and lobster roll. The lobster roll had a lot of meat in it and is the most reasonably priced we've been able to find. Line on a weekend is very long, so prepare to wait. There is ample seating inside and some seating outside. We usually frequent the iggys in Warwick which has better views so the bar is high, but the food quality and vibe are similarly great.

Great spot near the beach. Food was really good. Standout was the Quahog as I would order this again and again. Lobster roll was a little light on meat but tasted delicious and the price was good for the quality.

Iggy's is a summer, seafood institution for anyone that lives or is visiting Narragansett. Years ago, this was an authentic clam shack close to the beach with only outdoor seating and long lines in the warm weather. Iggy's now offers indoor seating, a covered deck and the traditional outdoor seating with picnic tables. We got the fisherman's platter to share for two of us and felt it hit all the variety we wanted and left not feeling disgusting from eating too much fried food. Service is what you would expect for a business staffed mostly by high school and college students. The bay scallops were seasoned well and lightly sweet. The whole belly clams were delicate and lightly fried. The chowder tasted thick and rich, would guess it was made in house.

So many reviews we had to stop and try. We ordered the chowder seafood platter, and of course, a dozen of the doughboys! The doughboys are fried donuts, freshly made and will definitely stop for these babies again! The service was good. The ambience was very casual. We were very lucky and we were able to find a table outside. I just wish inside it was a little bit more ventilation. The clam chowder and the seafood platter were just OK for me. I would definitely come back for the donuts, however.

    Fish Sandwich

Decent place to go after the beach but nothing crazy. Pretty cheap but the food isn't very good. Got a fish sandwich and a root beer float. The sandwich was very bready and little dry. Service was alright. Sat inside and the ambiance of the place was cool. Went from two stars to three thanks to the ceiling fans.

Adam waited on us at the inside bar and provided phenomenal service. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to his guests are a tremendous asset to your establishment. I would be remiss if I did not also recognize Eve, Casey, Paige, Al, Jordan, Dan, and Jeff. You have an incredible service team that is second to none. We have spent time at both the restaurant and the Tiki Bar, and most recently we had the pleasure of being served by Gina, who was also exceptional. As a former employment recruiter, I can honestly say that I would be trying to recruit this incredible staff myself! They are dedicated, positive, hospitable, and take tremendous pride in both their professional and personal service. They consistently perform under maximum stress with efficiency, professionalism, and a smile. I understand there is currently a contest on Yelp, and we would like to nominate Adam. He embodies everything you could want in a member of your waitstaff: spirit, dedication, knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine devotion to providing an outstanding guest experience. He has a wonderful ability to make guests feel as though they are not only being well cared for, but that he is genuinely enjoying his job as well. Choosing one person was extremely difficult because your entire team deserves recognition. However, Adam stood out as a phenomenal leader, and that is why we are choosing him for our nomination. I would gladly hire or recommend any one of these fine young men and women. They are truly exceptional representatives of George's. We wish those who are moving on to college or graduate school all the best in their future endeavors. We will certainly continue to frequent George's, as we have for many years, and look forward to seeing this wonderful team whenever we visit. Thank you for having such an incredible group of people representing your establishment. They truly make the experience special! Cousins, Annie & Tommy (Annie 401-241-9427)

As it was lunchtime when we met them, it was nice to know lunch is available also. It's a beautiful location near the Point Judith Lighthouse though a simple local restaurant in a plain building. There is ample parking which is nice during tourist season. We had already heard that they serve the local form of clam chowder, not the Boston based milk and cream variety. I was thrilled to get the clear broth original style from before the popular updates were made for commercial acclaim. This clear broth allows the clam and potato to be dominant as the fishermen families served in the past, before Boston added cream and NYC added tomatoes. I also wanted my first lobster roll of the trip, also the fisherman local style, no mayo dressing or spices, just the cooked meat with a little warm butter on the warm meat. It was on a roll with lettuce which was actually unnecessary for me. Locals use hot dog rolls and simple lettuce. I used a fork and just ate the lobster. I've hear that some locals can just order the lobster meat plain in the plate. Same with their scallops though we only ordered lobster this time. They only had canned drinks this day so instead of iced tea or an Arnold Palmer, I had a simple Ginger Ale, though the others with me had Coke. The meat was warm, firm and well cooked and really tasty. And their pricing was really fair for the volume and quality. It was busy but we were well served.
